Start your first day with a great brunch at Twentysix. After breakfast, head to St. Stephen's Basilica, where you can buy tickets and take a look inside. Then continue towards Buda Castle and cross the bridge. You can take the cable car up to the castle, but I recommend walking - it's cheaper and the experience is not as good as the price. Just to the right of the cable car, across the street, you'll find the stairs that will lead you to the castle. After touring the castle, you'll enjoy a spectacular view of Budapest. Then continue to the Fisherman's Bastion. Again, you can buy tickets for the bastion here and next door is St. Matthias Cathedral, which is definitely worth a visit. After the tour, walk down and follow the river to the Margaret Bridge, which takes you to Margaret Island - a great place for a short stop. End the day at the Parliament, which is at its most beautiful at night when it is illuminated. I recommend a walk to Gettó Gulyás afterwards, where they serve the best goulash in all of Budapest. You will enjoy a well-deserved and enjoyable dinner after a day of exploring.

On the second day, you will head to the beautiful, vast Városliget Park, which hides many secrets and interesting places. These include Vajdahunyad Castle and the Széchenyi Thermal Baths. After you have walked through the entire park, you will come across one of Budapest's most famous squares, Heroes' Square, at the edge of the park, where you will end your visit. Afterwards, you'll slowly make your way back to the city centre, where I'd recommend grabbing lunch or an early dinner at Street Food Caravan. This outdoor space is filled with food trucks and stalls offering a wide variety of food - from traditional Hungarian cuisine to international specialties. At the end of the day, I recommend a visit to one of the city's most interesting bars, Szimpla Kert. It is one of the ruins of bars that have been built in abandoned buildings. These bars usually have several floors and are not just individual bars, but several smaller bars in one space. They are known for their unique atmosphere that you just can't get anywhere else.
