Hello everyone, greetings to Bohemia and Moravia, or wherever else you are. My name is Pavel and I live in Mexico for a long time. My great passion is the beautiful nature of Mexico, but also getting to know the culture, the local people and of course the delicious Mexican gastronomy.
I would like to share this passion of mine with you, in collaboration with Worldee, and show you Mexico in a slightly unconventional way. Don't expect luxury hotels or lots of days doing nothing on the beach. Expect a lot of action and even a little bit of the pure dirt. You'll be glad if you can find a moment to post photos, because you can relax and mobilize at home. But there will be time to chat with warm Mexicans over a glass of tequila.
I would also like to show you the numerous local volcanoes reaching up to 5636 m, caves, unspoilt nature, cultural monuments and of course give you a well-deserved rest in the healing thermal baths and on the sandy beaches with warm sea. If you're a fan of action-packed trips, you've come across the right adventure guide and now all you have to do is pack up and come.

After breakfast, we will visit downtown Cholula and walk to the Catholic temple called El Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, which is built on top of the Great Pyramid. As the temple is a direct part of the pyramid, you will have the opportunity to see not only the temple but also the pyramid from the inside, at the same time there are also archaeological excavations to see. In case of good weather it is possible to see el Popo (the most active volcano of Popocatepetl). Puebla will enchant you with its splendour in the form of New Spanish art in all its glory. In the immediate vicinity is the small town of Cholula, where the deep pre-Hispanic air will in turn breathe on you. The town of Cholula was built on the foundations of a large indigenous town. Pre-Hispanic Cholula was a large metropolis that was inhabited for thousands of years. It is therefore one of the oldest cities in Central America.
This town, though small in size, is exceptional for its number of churches. There are 37 churches in total, so it is very easy to stumble upon one of them.

The aforementioned Puebla is a city in east-central Mexico, southeast of Mexico City. It is known for its culinary history, colonial architecture, and ceramics. Painted local pottery, called Talavera, can be seen on several buildings that are decorated with this pottery. There is also a Renaissance cathedral, which has tall bell towers and stands in front of the central Zócalo square. Also worth mentioning is the Museo Amparo, which offers extensive displays of pre-Hispanic art, such as ceramics and fragments of murals.

The smallest volcano in the world is a curiosity that the state of Puebla offers us in the colony of Libertad in its capital city. The name "Cuexcomate" comes from the Nahuatl word "cuexcomatl" and translates to "clay pot" or "place to keep."
Cuexcomate was formed by the eruption of sulphurous water as a result of the eruption of the Popocatepetl volcano in 1064. Access to the interior of the volcano is permitted.According to legend, the volcano Popocatepetl had a love affair with its companion, the volcano Iztaccihuatl, and from these trysts the small volcano Cuexcomate was born.

In the morning, around 8 o'clock, we will go to Malinche volcano. The length of the climb is about 6.5km, from 3110m to 4420m, with an elevation gain of 1310m. The difficulty of the climb is moderate, so no special equipment is needed, just appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes, water and possibly some snacks. The return will be around 4 pm. Late lunch and a well-deserved beer will follow, rest and transfer to the town of Perote (120km, 2h), hotel accommodation.
Between the states of Puebla and Tlaxcala lies one of Mexico's most impressive dormant volcanoes (the last volcanic activity took place about 3,000 years ago). At 4,420 metres above sea level, La Malintzin is Mexico's sixth highest mountain and inspires travelers to climb its (sometimes snow-capped) peak and hike as well.
In the Puebla-Tlaxcala Valley, which borders Malinche to the southwest, La Malinche National Park was created in 1938 and has become a refuge for several local species of hares, lynx and others.

The town of Perote is located in the western region of the state, on the Mexican plateau, on the slopes of Cofre de Perote. Cofre de Perote is an inactive volcano that is part of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range, with an elevation of 4,282 metres above sea level.
Breakfast in Perote and departure to Alchichica (25km, 30min), in case of great interest we can also visit Laguna De San Luis Atexcac (12km, 15min), on the way lunch and transfer to Zona Arqueológica Cantona (38km, 40min) in the evening transfer to Centro Recreativo El Conejo (60km, 90min). Accommodation in the lodge.
Laguna Alchichica, also called Lake Alchichica, is a maar-type alkaline salt lake formed by the flooding of a volcanic crater and is 60 metres deep. The lake is large and has a high salinity and a high concentration of magnesium. It is located in the central part of the Libres-Oriental Basin in Puebla. It is located on an open aquifer composed of sediments such as sands (coarse, medium and fine), clays, shales and limestones.

This lagoon is located in the municipality of Guadalupe Victoria in the Mexican state of Puebla. It is one of the six crater lakes in the Llanos de San Juan physiographic region and is often considered the most beautiful of them.

Cantona is an important archaeological site located in the state of Puebla, near the border with the state of Veracruz.
Cantona has a rich history that dates back to the Late Preclassic period. Thanks to its good strategic location, which allowed it to overlook the Serdán Valley, crafts and trade flourished here, and obsidian was also mined. It was one of the most populated towns in history. Today, Cantona is no longer inhabited, and has been since the Chichimeca raids in the 11th century, but it is considered one of the largest urban centers ever discovered, as evidenced by the ruins, which consist of more than 500 cobblestone streets, more than 3,000 individual courts or residences, more than 24 ball courts, and an elaborate acropolis with many ceremonial buildings and temples.

In the morning we will go on a day trip to Cofre de Perote, the length of the climb is about 13 km, elevation gain about 1150m, the summit of Cofre de Perote is located at 4282 m.a.s.l. According to the agreement of all participants it is possible to shorten the climb (10 km by car and 2 km on foot). Return in the afternoon, late lunch or early dinner, rest in the evening. We will spend the night in the same place as the night before.

Morning/afternoon (hour by arrangement) departure from the campsite towards Volcancillo (35 km, 45 min). Short climb to the Volcancillo crater (about 2.5km), tour of Volcancillo with the possibility of abseiling. After returning, departure to the small village of La Joya, here we can have a leisurely meal and then move to the town of Xalapa, accommodation in a hotel in the centre, sightseeing. Tasting of local specialties.
It is estimated that 900 years ago Volcancillo volcano erupted as part of intense volcanic activity in the Perote and Xalapa area, from which remnants of a lava flow, or malpais, have been preserved, which descended into the Toxtlacoaya area.

Xalapa is the capital of the state of Veracruz. It is primarily a student city due to the large number of universities located here. Interestingly, the city is nicknamed the city of flowers and greenery, which thrive here due to the frequent rains. There is also a local gallery, the Pinacoteca Diego Rivera, which has the largest collection of works by painter Diego Rivera in the country. Another place of interest is the Museo de Antropología de Xalapa, which is the second most important museum in Mexico.

And here we have a day when we are going to relax in the thermal baths after a wonderful first week in Mexico, We will recharge our strength and energy, which will be useful for the next week that is still ahead of us.
In the afternoon transfer to Playa Villa Rica, check in with the possibility of a barbecue on the beach. On the way, a stop at Nace de agua Actopan.
The waters of El Carrizal are sulphate-calcic, slightly lithic, thermal, radioactive and hydrogen sulphide.
The waters here provide several health benefits. Among these health benefits are that these waters can have a positive effect on people suffering from anemia, chronic respiratory problems, certain psychological disorders, sleep disorders, or who are being treated for gallstones.
Last but not least, these waters also have a disinfectant and regenerative effect.

A place where water falls down from a volcanic rock formation, and where the river rises and continues its course to the town of Actopan. The river is relatively calm, suitable for the whole family. The river is crystal clear, and due to the fact that this place is located at the beginning of the river, the water is icy. This water is also home to small garra rufa fish, which are called fish doctors. They have earned this nickname because they feed on dead skin cells and so take care of the fishy pedicure and also massage the feet. This procedure is not painful, because the fish do not have teeth, but on the contrary, they secrete a substance from their mouths that helps regeneration, healing and accelerates the treatment.

In the morning visit to the archaeological site of Quiahuiztlan, in the morning and afternoon stay on the beach of Villa rica (or by agreement on the nearby beach of Muñecos). Possibility to climb the rocks towering above the sea, which also offers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view.
On this beach, Hernán Cortés (the Spanish conqueror) ordered his ships sunk to prevent his soldiers, who feared the power of the Aztecs, from returning to Cuba. A second port, Veracruz, was founded in this small bay and is now a small fishing village.
The beach is calm and shallow, you can swim here safely. At the end of the beach there is a stream that you can see if you climb the small hill that covers this stream. Here you'll find a view that will amply compensate for the effort it took to climb the hill. At the bottom of the hill on the north side is a secluded small beach designed especially for lovers.

Quiahuiztlán is an archaeological zone and ancient Totonac city in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, and is located on Cerro de los Metates (also called Cerro Bernal), so called because many small buried metates (stone tools) have been found there. Cerro de los Metates is located in the so-called Faja de Totonacapan, which is bounded by the Nautla River to the north and the Actopan River to the south.
This area had three functions - town, fortress and cemetery. The city- about 16 thousand inhabitants lived here. Cemetery- the remains of 78 graves have been found here, spread over three main burial grounds. The fortress- defensive walls of various sizes can be seen at all the foot of the hill.

An hour away from the port of Veracruz is Playa Muñecos, a place with enviable panoramic views. Veracruz is and always will be a state rich in nature, with beautiful beaches, rivers and lagoons, as well as impressive and mysterious archaeological sites.
PLAYA MUÑECOS is a beach that amazes visitors with its rock formations that look like giant dolls gazing towards the horizon. It has turquoise blue water with gentle waves and fine sand, and where a small estuary empties into the sea there is an area of dunes suitable for adventure sports.

Ranch and day trip on horseback.
On this day, the plan will be to visit a local ranch, take a horseback ride into the countryside or to the beach, and in the afternoon sample a local specialty prepared right on the ranch. Sitting with the locals.

After breakfast, departure to Veraruz, stopping en route at Zempoala, visiting the Zona Argeologica. In the afternoon we will visit the museum in Veracruz. In the evening, visit the port.
Accommodation at the hotel.
Cempoala (Nahuatl Cēmpoalātl, "twenty waters") is a Mesoamerican archaeological site in the municipality of Úrsulo Galván in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The word Cēmpoalli comes from the Nahuas roots Cēmpoal-, meaning "twenty", and ā(tl), meaning "water", "twenty waters", perhaps because this town had a large number of irrigation canals and aqueducts that supplied vital fluid to numerous surrounding gardens and agricultural fields.
According to another version, this is probably an allusion to the trading activities that, according to some sources, took place at this site every 20 days in pre-Hispanic times. According to another version, the name means "abundance of water".
According to some sources, the town was originally inhabited at least 1,500 years before the arrival of the Spanish, and there are signs of Olmec influence.
Cempoala was the capital of the Totonacs and was also the largest city on the Gulf of Mexico. At its height it had a population of 25,000 to 30,000 and was one of the most important Totonac settlements in the post-Classical period.

Veracruz, also known as Heroica Veracruz, is a Mexican port city on the Gulf Coast in the state of Veracruz. It is one of the oldest and largest ports in the country, founded in the 16th century by Spanish settlers. On the island of San Juan de Ulua, there is a colonial fortress and a former prison complex overlooking the harbor, which now serves as a historical museum.

San Juan de Ulúa is the name of a small island in Mexico, which is home to an ancient fortress and former port (also of the same name). The construction of the fort was planned by the Spanish under the command of Hernán Cortés on April 22, 1519, in connection with the conquest of the Americas and the attacks on Spain by pirates and privateers at that time. The fort is built in the Italian style.
The complex and island are located off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the city and port of Veracruz in the Mexican state of the same name.
Museo Baluarte de Santiago
This museum was opened in 1991 to display the archaeological collection "Las Joyas del Pescador", which contains pre-Columbian gold objects.
This is a historical monument that formed part of the walls that protected the city from pirate attacks. The bastion is an 18th-century building and displays the "Fisherman's Jewels", so called because they were seized by a fisherman who found them at the bottom of the sea. During the tour, the techniques used by pre-Columbian settlers in the work of the goldsmiths and the organization of the work of the artisans are explained.
The purpose of the Naval Museum of Veracruz is to exhibit, preserve and protect the cultural relics of the Mexican Navy.
In the early morning departure towards Orizaba. Full day visit to Soltano de Popocatl. In the evening we will stay in Uidad Serdan.
Accommodation at the hotel.
In the municipality of Zongolica, in the state of Veracruz, there is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Mexico. Sótano de Popocatl has become a very attractive destination for lovers of mountain landscapes and extreme activities.
We have to walk 1 km before we reach the Popocatl cellar, and the impressive sound of the waterfall will alert you that we are there. With a diameter of 45 metres and a depth of 60 metres, you will be greeted by the mouth of the Coatl River, which forms the waterfall.
In order to descend, you must freefall down a rope that takes you to the bottom of the vault, where there is an underground lake fed by the waterfall as well as a 150 metre long cave.

Rest after the visit to Soltano de Popocatl and in the afternoon a short hike to Sierra Negra, altitude about 4500 m. In the evening return to the hotel and rest.
Sierra Negra is a volcano located in the Mexican state of Puebla, near the state border with Veracruz. At its summit is the Gran Telescopio Milimétrico Alfonso Serrano (GTM), the largest radio telescope in the world due to its frequency range. At 4,580 metres above sea level, it is the fifth highest peak in the country. Because it is adjacent to the much higher and more famous Pico de Orizaba or Citlaltépetl, Sierra Negra is often overlooked and excluded from Mexican climbing guides, which I think is a shame.

Transfer to the capital of Mexico and individual sightseeing. Then rest before departure. Food tasting also available.

Individual city tour and tailored program according to need and agreement. The program of the day will depend on the time of departure.

Transfer to the capital of Mexico and individual sightseeing. Then rest before departure. Food tasting also available.

Individual city tour and tailored program according to need and agreement. The program of the day will depend on the time of departure.
