Day 1
Depending on where you're flying from, you've likely spent many hours on a plane, so the first day is for resting, a shower, and possibly the hotel bar or pool (if there is one). However, if you have a free afternoon and want to start exploring right away, I recommend a helicopter tour over the city. The view is absolutely phenomenal. On our trips around Cape Town, we always used Uber, as their prices in the Cape Town area are very affordable, even for the more luxurious car options.
Day 2
Take it easy and start exploring Cape Town, stroll along the waterfront with views of yachts on one side and working ships (including those headed for Antarctica) on the other. Along the way, you might spot some seals, listen to street performers, and stop at one of the nearby restaurants, as the delicious scents will surely draw you in. Just be extra careful while in the city (don't wear jewelry, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and only walk around during daylight hours)!
Day 3
Start your day with a visit to the amazing Oranjezicht market, which is bursting with colors and all kinds of produce. Continue to the most colorful area, the Bo-Kaap neighborhood, known from magazines and postcards, and don't forget to head up Table Mountain in the afternoon for stunning views. Again, keep safety in mind.
