Rent a car at the airport and drive to your new home. Depending on the time of your flight you might still have some time to explore the hotel and its pools.

Will your family enjoy a slow walk through its beautiful tropical indoor gardens, or jump in the outdoor pools the first chance you get? In the evening, you might want to visit the pool bars, too, as apart from summer drinks, they often serve live music events. And if with all that and the entertainment you can find browsing the hotel's free WiFi you still want for more, the nearby Ixia Beach is waiting for you to jump in and become one with this Greek paradise of an island.

Though you've just begun delving into all the wonders of leasure time the resort offers, should you find you have some extra time on your hands, a visit to the nearby Park Rodini is in order. This excuisite park, where lush nature meets ancient architecture, is in walking distance from the hotel. A perfect opportunity to walk the streets of city Rhodes and marvel at the beauty of what is concidered local "every-day" architecture. You will doubt the "actual sightseeing" part of the trip is yet to come!

After getting a taste of Rhodes' city streets, you are undoubtedly anxcious to see the real sights. So get ready because there are plenty. Feel free to make use of your rented car to get you closer to the fun part, as you've got the Acropolis of Rhodes, the Ancient Stadium of Rhodes, and the Medieval City of Rhodes to visit! Before you go into the historic part of the city (which you will recognize by a surprisingly tall medieval wall), however, you should leave the car parked and venture further on foot. You will be glad to have done that, though, as there is so much to see you'd otherwise have to stop every two seconds, anyways. A couple of places to point out are the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Temple of Aphrodite, or Saint John's Gate. 

Alright this one is a must. You've seen the pools and the sea, you've seen the city, but this you have not seen here or anywhere else. Take the car and drive to the Butterflies Valley for the experience that will turn your friends green with envy. Here, you will find leaves, branches, trees, and, well, the whole woods entirely covered with butterflies. Taking a stroll through this valley is one of those magical moments your family will share forever.

The time is flying by dangerously fast but fret not! You still have a full day ahead of you and with it come many possibilities. If you want to stay put, enjoy the pools, the beach, the bars, the fun and peace of it all, all power to you! If, however, you want to get the most bang for your buck on this vacation, today presents a great opportunity to take the car once more and visit the Aquarium of Rhodes, and/or Rhodes' Waterpark. And if you've not done it yet and you decide to go to the Aquarium, try an authentic greek meal in one of the "tavernas" closeby (Koutouki 42, Peskesi Greek Cuisine, Thomas Taverna Restaurant, ...).
