Your arrival day will serve as your first taste of the country (both figuratively and literally). After arriving, you'll first be amazed at what an airport can look like :) Once you've had your fill, you can easily and quickly get to the center of Singapore using the clear subway network. Depending on the time, you can then rest after the long journey and start adjusting to the significant time difference, or go explore the city. The local Chinatown is very good for this, as it is very easily accessible from the airport and lies in the heart of the city. In it, you will find many accommodation options, as well as many beautiful traditional houses and, of course, famous Chinese bistros and shops. What better way to tune into the city's pace than by walking through its arteries and tasting local delicacies? Be sure to try the local specialties - chilli crab and laksa. But since you are in Chinatown, you will of course find noodles or rice in every way. The Indian influence cannot be denied by the presence of curry and naan breads. As you probably already suspect, a visit to Singapore (and then Malaysia) will also be a gastronomic experience.

Most people know Singapore as a modern metropolis full of shopping malls, gleaming skyscrapers and futuristic buildings. You will get to this side of the city too, but today, first take a walk through the traditional neighborhoods. In the alleys of Kampong Glam, you will be transported back to the time when the city was under British rule, and you will soak up the atmosphere of the old port hub in the narrow streets with colorful colonial houses. In Chinatown, you will get acquainted not only with Chinese but also Indian culture, thanks to the local temples standing in one street. And since you are on the border of different cultures of the Far East, taste the delicacies of their rich and famous gastronomy. The local streets are dotted with bistros offering everything from noodles to rice, dumplings to fish and other fruits of the local seas.

In the sign of luxury and megalomania. During a walk through the local marina, there will be no shortage of beautiful views of often bizarre buildings. You will walk along the promenade and take a photo with the symbol of the city - a fountain in the shape of a lion spewing water in Merlion Park. All this will be watched by the dominant building of the marina and the entire city - Marina Bay Sands in the shape of a ship, hiding, in addition to a shopping center and a hotel, also a lookout point with a swimming pool on the very top of the building. Across several bridges, you will gradually reach the luxurious gardens behind the Marina, where you will visit the local postcard attraction - tall artificial trees covered with flowers and connected by the Skywalk walkway standing in the Gardens by the bay park, which lights up at night and, in combination with the nearby Marina, creates unforgettable views of this luxury metropolis. Plan your visit so you don't miss the musical and light show that takes place both in the Gardens by the bay park and at sea on the promenade in front of the Marina Bay Sands hotel.

Sometimes it's good to slow down a bit, absorb the experiences, and relax. The island of Sentosa is a perfect place for this, being the main entertainment center for locals. However, the main reason to visit is the beautiful beaches, which, despite being located near the bustling metropolis and a huge port, offer surprisingly clean water and good swimming conditions. So, lie down on one of the beaches with fine, light sand in the shade of palm trees and enjoy the tranquility of a tropical island. When you get bored, take a walk along the manicured promenade, or across the suspension bridge to the southernmost point of the Asian mainland. The more active among you, or families with children, will certainly appreciate some of the many local entertainment centers.

Singapore is sometimes called the "Garden City" or "City in a Garden" due to the successful integration of lush greenery with urban development. A wonderful example of the harmony between nature and concrete is the local botanical garden, renowned worldwide and even a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its significance. Stroll along the wooden boardwalk through the tropical rainforest, swamps, and wetlands, or around cacti, and admire the beautiful orchids. From the peaceful greenery, continue through the urban jungle along the local artery and main shopping street, Orchard Road, to the fortress with its park and national museum. End the evening with a walk along the river promenade in the romantic and entertainment district of Clarke Quay.

While yesterday was mainly about getting to know plants, today you will go to see animals for a change. For this purpose, you will visit the remote Mandai Nature Reserve, located in a wooded wetland area on the northern periphery of the city. Here you will spend the whole day exploring the local nature in several thematically separated parks. In the bird paradise you will see colorful birds, in the opposite tropical rainforest you will get acquainted with the landscape typical for this region, i.e. evergreen humid forests with many creatures that live in it. The highlight will be the famous Singapore Zoo, according to many the best in the world, where you can use electric vehicles to find yourself in the African savannah among lions and cheetahs in one moment, a little further in the tropical forest of Borneo with orangutans scurrying above your heads, and finally in the Australian bush among kangaroos. And because nature lives day and night, at the end of your very eventful day, take a ride on the night safari and watch nocturnal animals in action. Great experiences await you today!

Kuala Lumpur is a city of contrasts, as you will see on your very first day. You will start in the traditional Chinese quarter, full of street bistros, shops and temples of various religions. Through the main square, where this beautiful country was born, you will reach the iconic mosque standing at the confluence of two rivers. A few stops away, a completely different world awaits you – you will find yourself surrounded by modern, glittering skyscrapers in a beautiful natural park with a lake and a light show of fountains under the legendary twin skyscrapers of Petronas Towers. In the evening, you will end in a vibrant district tasting local delicacies.

You will head to the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, where you will be greeted by a monumental golden statue of the god Murugan guarding the entrance to the deep caves. One of the most important pilgrimage sites for followers of Hinduism will transport you as if to exotic India - macaques climbing on the roofs of colorful temples, statues of gods hidden in caves, and a distinctive Indian population really resembles a picture of this tropical subcontinent. The rest of the day will be devoted to exploring local culture and history with a visit to the National Museum and Mosque. Harmony with tropical nature will be ensured by a bird park and a botanical garden.

First, you'll head to the airport to pick up your car, and then the real road trip through the Malaysian jungle can begin! The first stop will be an elephant breeding station, where you'll feed the local beauties bamboo, cuddle with their trunks, and, if you're interested, take a bath with the baby elephants. Later, you'll move to a remote jungle lodge, where you'll cross the river by boat and find yourself in one of the oldest rainforests in Asia, full of lush vegetation and wildlife. It's up to you how you explore the jungle - you can choose from many activities, from independent ones to guided tours. In the evening, you can spend time on the terrace of one of the floating restaurants and enjoy local delicacies at a reasonable price.

A real adventure!! A short motorboat ride to the opposite bank of the river will take you to the heart of a tropical rainforest, where you will feel like you are at the end of the world, completely isolated from civilization, surrounded by lush vegetation and rich fauna. However, the opposite is true - there are few places where you can access the rainforest so easily and comfortably thanks to the surrounding village with its facilities and wooden walkways, which ensure most of the marked trails in the area. Stop at one of the observation points and immerse yourself in the sounds of the jungle. If you are patient, you will surely see at least a few monkeys frolicking, maybe even more :)

Venture into the heart of the Malaysian Highlands in the Cameron Highlands, where you can enjoy a pleasant cooling down, wonderful views and romantic walks through the rolling landscape with the fresh green bushes of tea plants on local plantations producing the finest teas of the well-known BOH brand. You can also taste them in local tea rooms and see the production process in the local factory. Then, with a cup of delicious black tea, you can enjoy the views from the terrace to the endless green hills. In addition to tea plants, the area also grows strawberries and other fruits, which you can taste on many farms, as well as roses and other flowers. Throughout the area, you can take shorter or longer hikes around the tea bushes or the surrounding misty rainforest.

You will continue exploring the beauty of Cameron Highlands. First, you will experience some culture and spirituality during a visit to the Sam Poh Temple, which stands on a hill above the town. There, you will soak up the spiritual atmosphere against a natural backdrop thanks to the harmony with the surrounding nature. Then, you will fully immerse yourself in exploring this iconic landscape, engaging various senses. In addition to the beautiful panoramas of tea plantations and misty rainforest with mossy vegetation, you will enjoy many delicacies at local strawberry and tea farms today.

Embark on a magnificent journey to Penang Island, connected to the mainland by two highway bridges. The island awaits you with diverse attractions, led by the country's largest Buddhist temple featuring a distinctive pagoda, where you'll begin your exploration of this popular destination. From the temple, head to the funicular, which will take you to the island's highest peak - Penang Hill. In addition to stunning views of the jungle, sea, and cities, it also offers a breathtaking walk across a rope bridge and a treetop walkway, or a beautiful Hindu temple. Later, move to the capital city of Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its colonial architecture. In its lively shopping streets, the aromas of local street food alternate with the characteristic smell of durian, which you can taste in many places. Above all, temples of all world religions stand tall, peeking out at you on every corner. 

Embark on an adventurous journey through the rainforest, surrounded by lush vegetation of fresh green trees and mangroves. Listen to the sounds of the jungle and watch monkeys frolicking on vines. Then, walk through the jungle to a remote natural turtle beach with fine sand, a freshwater pond, and a breeding station where you can observe sea turtles. At the end of the day, wait for the sunset on a popular city beach. Before that, however, take a walk among the colorful tropical butterflies and other rainforest fauna in the local amusement park and taste tropical fruits or at a fruit farm.

Roughly halfway to Kuala Lumpur lies the city of Ipoh, surrounded by beautiful and very photogenic karst scenery. From a distance, you'll be greeted by massive karst hills with caves covered in tropical vegetation. These conceal mysterious Buddhist temples that beautifully combine the natural beauty of limestone caves with the culture and spirituality of the local temples and divine statues. Embark on an exploration of these temples richly decorated with statues and murals, often complemented by observation terraces and natural gardens with ponds.

The city is also renowned for its gastronomy and colonial architecture, so in addition to the temples, consider a short walk through the old town center around Jalan Panglima, Jalan Bandar Timah, and Jalan Market, where, in addition to admiring the historic buildings, you can have lunch in one of the bistros offering the greatest delicacies of the local diverse cuisine. The train station building, resembling the Indian Taj Mahal, is also interesting. In short, Ipoh will be a wonderful conclusion to your Malaysian adventure.

All good things come to an end, and all that remains is to say goodbye to this pleasant country. So head to the airport and don't forget to allow enough time. The airport is located relatively far from the center, and depending on your flight time, expect possible traffic jams that can dramatically extend the journey to the airport. 

If you have enough time before departure, the location of your accommodation directly encourages you to visit two traditional Malaysian neighborhoods - Kampung Baru and Chow Kit. Both areas offer a wide variety of cheap street bistros, street food and shops with everything imaginable, making them an ideal option for last-minute shopping and tasting Malaysian cuisine. In Kampung Baru, I recommend walking along Jalan Raja Muda Musa and taking a look at the Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru mosque. In the Chow Kit district, which is a bit like one big marketplace, I recommend shopping at Chow Kit Market.
