Depending on your arrival time, several carefully selected stops await you, which are worth seeing even before arriving at your first accommodation. Instead of a tiring transfer, you will turn the journey into a full-fledged experience and tune into the atmosphere of the entire road trip from the first moment. Aurlandsdalen is an approximately 40-kilometer-long glacial valley in the Vestland region, stretching from the Geiteryggen mountain area to the fjord near the village of Vassbygdi. It offers a dramatic landscape with deep gorges, gurgling rivers, historical shepherd's farms, and diverse mountain flora, making it one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Norway. We'll head just beyond Vassbygdi for an approximately 10-kilometer hike that will take you through one of the most picturesque parts of this breathtaking valley.

A relaxing experience awaits you on a boat trip through the fjord, where you can calmly admire the steep mountain walls, waterfalls cascading directly into the water, and endless views. In the morning, you will first drive along a panoramic road across the plateau towards the harbor in the village of Vik. From there, you will board a boat that sails from Bergen to the picturesque town of Flåm.

A new perspective of the Sognefjord landscape. In the morning, you will once again drive to the harbor in the village of Vik, where this time a car ferry awaits you to the north side of the fjord. After crossing, continue through the town of Sogndal to a short but beautiful hike to the Kaupanger viewpoint. From there, you will have breathtaking views of the fjord, mountains and the green valley below. An ideal day to slow down, take pictures and soak up the atmosphere of western Norway from a different side.

An easy-going trip to the very heart of Jotunheimen National Park, one of Norway's most beautiful mountain areas. A short hike will take you through open mountain scenery with lakes, rocky peaks, and breathtaking views that you'll enjoy practically the entire way (link to map here). A somewhat challenging but immensely rewarding hike up Mount Molden. The trail gradually takes you high above the fjord, where breathtaking panoramic views of the branches of Sognefjord and the surrounding mountain ranges open up. One of the most beautiful viewpoints of the entire road trip, which will stay in your memory long after you return home.

You'll head to one of Norway's most impressive glaciers - Nigardsbreen, which descends deep into the valley like a huge tongue of blue-white ice. A short walk will take you to viewpoints above the turquoise glacial lake, where you can enjoy the breathtaking contrast between the ice, rocks and greenery of the surrounding mountains. An ideal trip for anyone who wants to experience the true power of Nordic nature up close.

Dedicate your day in Bergen to discovering its historical heart. Stroll through the iconic Bryggen district with its colorful wooden houses, narrow streets, and harbor atmosphere, one of the most photographed places in all of Norway. Stop by the fish market, enjoy fresh seafood, and soak up the relaxed rhythm of the city surrounded by mountains and fjords.

Enjoy an unforgettable view of the city from the viewpoint on Mount Fløyen (or the cable car to Mount Ulriken if you have plenty of time and miss the mountains), which offers a panorama of the harbor, the city roofs, and the surrounding mountains.
