Hidden beach is not a place that will dazzle you with commerce. On the contrary. It's a quiet stretch of coastline where instead of umbrellas you'll find the shade of palm trees, instead of loud music just the sound of waves and the occasional coconut palm creaking in the wind. The sea here has a turquoise tinge, the sand is soft and whitish, people just sit quietly in bamboo chairs at small beach bars. Time slows down here. Hidden Beach is not just a beach. It's a hideaway.
Once you've enjoyed the peace and salty breeze at Hidden Beach, get back on your bike and head inland, a whole different world awaits. From the beach, head back towards the main road, Lac Long Quan, and head south towards the Cam Thanh district. After a few minutes of riding, turn left onto a smaller road leading to the Bay Mau coconut forest. The route is roughly 4–5 kilometers long, leading through flat terrain, past small villages, rice fields, and canals. As you get closer, the surrounding landscape begins to change, with more coconut palms, the air becomes more humid, and the road winds along canals and small bridges.
At the end of the route, you'll arrive at the harbor, where round basket boats and local guides await, ready to take you into the maze of the coconut forest.

And so it's over - 10 days, 3 countries and experiences that will be told for a long time. From Thai temples, tuk tuks and sparkling night markets, to Cambodian temples hidden in the jungle and mystical Apsari dancing, to Vietnamese beaches, coconut forests and streets scented with fish sauce. It was a mix of cultures, with each country offering a different rhythm, a different pace and a different reason to stay a little longer. You experienced Buddhist chants at dawn, dancing with chopsticks over a bowl of pho, markets dodging trains, and silence in the shadow of lotus towers. Sometimes it took a pinch of courage, sometimes a sense of humour, but it was always worth it.
And now? Passport back in my backpack, head full of stories and heart a little lighter. Because one thing a good trip has in common is that long after you return, you'll find yourself smiling in the middle of the day.
