Harvard’s campus is open to the public - you can stroll through the iconic Harvard Yard, see the statue of John Harvard (which tourists traditionally touch for luck, despite its inaccurate likeness), or visit the Harvard Art Museums, featuring works from Monet to Rothko.
From Harvard University (for example, Harvard Yard), walk to Harvard Station on the MBTA Red Line. Take the Red Line southbound (toward Ashmont/Braintree) and ride two stops, then get off at Charles/MGH Station.
From there, it’s just a short walk. Exit the station, cross Cambridge Street, turn left onto Embankment Road (Charles Street), and then immediately right into the Storrow Drive underpass, which leads directly to the waterfront. Community Boating Inc. is located right on the Charles River, about a 5-minute walk from the station.
The whole trip takes approximately 15–20 minutes, and a subway fare costs $2.40, payable via CharlieCard, CharlieTicket, or credit/debit card at the turnstiles.

If you’re a hockey or basketball fan, a visit to the legendary TD Garden is a must. Home to the Boston Bruins (NHL) and Boston Celtics (NBA), it offers electrifying atmosphere and unforgettable experiences.
