The first day mainly depends on your arrival time - if you arrive in the morning, you can comfortably manage a large part of the iconic Westminster area (without entrances). Or plan 1 entry and count on extra time spent. We arrived late in the afternoon, so we only managed a two-hour walk before dark, but even so, London made an impression on my sons on the very first day.

Focus on exploring the eastern part of London. The highlight of the day is a visit to the Greenwich Observatory with admission, because who wouldn't want to see the prime meridian?! Then a walk along the Thames basin with flood barriers (mega technology in reality). The converted docks in the modern business district of Canary Wharf and a hidden oasis in the heart of London on the roof of one of the buildings in Canary Wharf. Transfers are by bus, on foot and by subway, as we move along both banks of the Thames further from the center.

For the bus journey, I recommend allowing extra time, as the city is congested even on weekends, so expect delays. We were running to the Observatory (please note that the Observatory is on a hill and you have to walk through a park), but even a delay to the booked tour is not a problem ;-).

To the heart of cultural London, where history, urban energy and personal discovery intertwine. Start your morning at the iconic British Museum, one of the world's leading museums, home to treasures across civilisations - the aim is not to see everything, but to pick what's most interesting to you (everyone has different interests) and enjoy the place without rushing. After your cultural experience, have a refreshment (McDonald's will please the youth the most) and do a little "shopping" (so you have memories other than cultural ones). Then move to the vibrant Soho district, where London takes on a completely different atmosphere - alleys, cafes and the hustle and bustle of the city. Then naturally continue to Trafalgar Square and the day can culminate with a visit to the famous Waterstones bookstore on Piccadilly, where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and perhaps take another treasure with you in the form of a book.  

The last day in London is about a peaceful farewell to the city, without haste, but with beautiful views and a strong atmosphere. If you have time before your departure, you can start by visiting the famous Tower Bridge, and buying a ticket is really worth it. Afterwards, take a pleasant walk along the Thames towards London Bridge, where London gradually transitions from the historical part to the modern City. On the way, a stop awaits you at the elegant Leadenhall Market, which has its charm for Harry Potter fans. Scenes depicting the entrance to Diagon Alley were filmed here. You will be immersed in a unique atmosphere with the possibility of a short sit-down. End the day with a comfortable transfer from Liverpool Street Railway Station to Stansted Airport, from where you will take away not only photos but also the feeling that you have truly experienced London.
