You can easily get from the airport to the city center by bus. Depending on your time and energy levels, you can either stroll through your first Dublin spots right away or head straight to your accommodation to relax and leave the city exploration for tomorrow. Today's itinerary depends on your arrival time; you might not get everything done today, so just move anything you miss to the following days.
Day 2
The city's most iconic landmarks. Start your morning in the historic Trinity College grounds, home to the famous Book of Kells. From there, head over to the majestic St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the quiet, historic Marsh's Library. The highlight of your day will be a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, where you'll learn the story of the famous stout and enjoy a pint with 360° views of the city from the glass-walled Gravity Bar. Finally, take a pleasant stroll back to your accommodation along the River Liffey to soak up the authentic Dublin atmosphere.
Day 3
Today you'll swap the streets of Dublin for the sea air of the Howth Peninsula. This former Viking settlement and fishing port is just a short hop from the city, but it offers a totally different vibe—cliffs, the sea, and a more relaxed pace. It's the perfect spot for a coastal walk with views of the Baily Lighthouse or the uninhabited islet of Ireland's Eye. Down at the harbor, you'll often spot seals by the fishing boats, and there are plenty of spots along the waterfront to grab some fresh fish.
