After arriving in Gdańsk, check into your accommodation, relax, and let yourself be guided through the colorful alleys of the old town. No big plans, just soak up the sea-scented atmosphere of northern Poland for a while. In the evening, be sure to try traditional Polish cuisine – pierogi (stuffed dumplings) or żurek (traditional soup) served in a bread bowl.
And most importantly – as a true local, end your evening at a Pijalnia and have some authentic Polish vodka.
Set off to explore the historic center of Gdańsk. If you had a rough night yesterday like we did, feel free to sleep in. The center of Gdańsk isn't huge, and you'll easily manage everything even if you start around lunchtime. 🤗 Start on Long Street (Długa), which you already know, and let yourself be guided towards the river. You'll find colorful houses, iconic squares, and a lively waterfront where it's worth stopping for a moment to sit and admire the surprisingly beautiful, sensitively and modernly renovated buildings. Get lost in the streets and alleys, grab a coffee or a treat, and just discover the city at your own pace. End the evening with a view of Gdańsk at sunset (maybe from the AmberSky wheel, if it's running), when the whole city has an absolutely magical atmosphere.
In the morning, you're in for a powerful experience at the Museum of the Second World War. Then, in the afternoon, a complete contrast: head to the seaside, enjoy the long beach in Brzeźno, soak up the summer vibes, and take some time for yourself. You can easily get to the beach using a shared MEVO bike or by tram. Don't forget your swimsuit! 🤗
