Do you love traveling and discovering new places? Head to Lithuania, a country that will surprise you not only with its cleanliness and tidiness, but also with its abundance of natural attractions, architecture, and historical sites. During your trip, you won't encounter crowds of tourists or stand in lines at the ticket office or on the ferry. You will experience a peaceful vacation and have a much greater experience from each place you visit. You will be enchanted by the beautiful green landscape, visit UNESCO monuments, a national park, sand dunes, and have the opportunity to spend romantic moments by the Baltic Sea at sunset.

Your journey begins with arrival in Vilnius. Pick up your car and transfer to the hotel. If you have time left, go for your first acquaintance with the metropolis. Start by exploring the historical center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can visit local restaurants to taste Lithuanian specialties. The national dish of Lithuania is cepelinai, large potato dumplings filled with minced meat, curd or mushrooms, served with cream and cracklings. I can also recommend bulviniai blynai, traditional Lithuanian potato pancakes, which are very similar to Czech bramborák.
In the capital of Lithuania. You will walk through the historical center (in 1994 inscribed on the UNESCO list) and visit a number of monuments. I was absolutely thrilled with Vilnius. The city is beautiful, clean and without the pressure of tourists.
You will travel to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. The journey to Kaunas will take approximately 1.5 hours. If you feel like it, I recommend stopping in Rumšiškės on the way and visiting the open-air museum. On the shores of the Kaunas Reservoir (Kauno Marios), you will see original wooden buildings and learn how people lived in Lithuania in the past. In Kaunas, it is best to park directly at the castle, where there is a large parking lot. You pay for parking at the machine. Finally, allow approximately 2.5 hours at the end of the day to travel to Klaipeda on the coast.
