Hello, dear ones,
Our destination, Madeira, is also known as the flower island of the Atlantic. This island has incredible nature to offer and I can't wait to explore it with you. 🌺🌳🌿🌼 I've put together a rough itinerary so you can see what we can expect. Of course, each day depends on the weather and our interests. We will organize the trip together in the end, but I think the plan helps very well to get a first overview 🫶🏽
What exactly we do on the first day depends on when we arrive on the island. The airport is only 10 km away from our accommodation. So we have a very relaxed arrival day and can simply arrive in peace and get to know each other after picking up the cars. I think cooking together would definitely be a good idea on this day 🍴🍝✨
Our villa is in a very peaceful and quiet location. This means we are isolated from any noise. Since we have two cars, we can reach any place anyway and are therefore not dependent on public transportation. We have 2 queen-size beds, 4 single beds and a sofa bed - it could hardly be better. We also have a total of 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a large dining and living room, a garden, fireplace, barbecue and much more 🏠🌻
On the second day, we use the time to discover our surroundings 🌞
If everyone agrees, we will start our trip with a sunrise at Ponta do Rosto. This viewpoint is very accessible as it is right next to a parking lot, so I'm sure it will be an unforgettable start to our trip
The hike from Pico do Ariero to Pico Ruivo is considered one of the most spectacular hikes in Europe. You walk through tunnels and over narrow stairways to heaven - again and again, magnificent views open up into the valleys and over the rocky peaks. You walk approx. 6 km until you reach the Rico Ruivo mountain hurdle. You can either walk back or take a shuttle or cab back. 🚖 We can decide that spontaneously. Depending on the weather conditions, we may be walking over a sea of clouds 🥹😍☁️ this place is perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. We can go there at any time to experience this.
After our hike yesterday, we take it easy today and drive to Seixal Beach first. This beautiful black beach is about an hour's drive from our villa. It definitely won't be boring on the drive 😊 We'll have a great time together here and just enjoy the atmosphere 🌍
Auf dem Weg zu ponta do Sol können wir am Cabo Girão halten. Mit 580 Metern ist es das höchste Kap Europas. Auf der Steilklippe erwartet uns ein Skywalk mit gläsernem Boden, der über den Rand der Felsen hinausragt und einen atemberaubenden Blick in die Tiefe bietet
Ihr habt ihn bestimmt schon auf Bilder gesehen der Wasserfall, der auf die Straße fließt. Man kann unter dem Wasserfall mit dem Auto entlangfahren oder sich selbst unter den Wasserstrahl stellen
