Thessaloniki (Greek: Thessaloniki) is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the Central Macedonia region.
The historical center of Thessaloniki is a fascinating open-air museum where Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman history intertwine. You can easily walk through the entire old town in a single day.
Day 3
A journey in the footsteps of the mighty Macedonian kings and wild Greek nature. Pella was the capital of the Macedonian Empire and the place where Aristotle taught young Alexander the Great. Edessa and the Karanos waterfall, which is the largest in all of Greece (70 meters high). Vergina hides one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century – the original, unlooted tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.
