After arriving in Málaga, you'll pick up your rental car (following the instructions provided before your flight), which will be your companion on your journey to discover the most beautiful spots in Andalusia. Next is a short transfer to your accommodation near the airport, where you can relax after your trip and get into the laid-back Spanish pace. If time permits, you can take a walk around the area, grab your first tapas, or enjoy the sunset by the sea. Today is all about a relaxed start before the upcoming adventure full of mountain scenery, canyons, white villages, and a unique Andalusian atmosphere.

After breakfast, you will leave Málaga and head along the Costa del Sol towards your next accommodation. Along the way, you have several interesting stops ahead that combine history, beautiful views, and relaxation by the sea. First, you will visit the unique Colomares Castle, a fairy-tale-like monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus. Then you will head to Castillo Sohail, a medieval fortress towering over the coast, which offers beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding promenade. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the natural beauty of the Dunas de Artola protected area, where some of the last original coastal dunes on the Costa del Sol have been preserved. Next to them is the picturesque Playa de Cabopino, an ideal place for a walk, swimming, or sitting by the sea. We recommend bringing a valid passport or national ID card and parking on the Spanish side of the border. From there, you'll walk across the famous airport runway – an experience you won't find almost anywhere else in the world. Your destination will be the majestic Rock of Gibraltar, the symbol of Gibraltar and the guardian of the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. On the way up, breathtaking views of two continents and one of the world's busiest shipping straits await you. You'll explore the mysterious depths of St. Michael's Cave, where the play of light and monumental stalactite formations create an almost fairytale atmosphere. You'll also take a peek into the historic GREAT SIEGE TUNNELS carved directly into the rock, which protected this strategic fortress for centuries. At the end of the day, you'll head to Europa Point Lighthouse, the southernmost point of Gibraltar. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the African coast from here and stand at the spot where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.
