Where will you go today? Évora! The capital of the Alentejo region is a true paradise for history lovers. From afar, you'll see the ruins of a Roman temple towering on the hill above the city - just a taste of what awaits you in the streets of the historic centre. The arcade-lined Praça do Giraldo Square, with its Igreja de Santo Antao church, is the heart of the city and the ideal starting point for your explorations. Street musicians play the soundtrack to the colourful action as you wander the narrow streets, admire the bright white facades of the houses and browse the souvenir shops.

Today, before you make your way to your new accommodation, you'll take a short trip to Monsaraz. This picturesque hilltop town will enchant you with its white architecture and medieval castle that looks like it belongs to another century. You will enjoy the tranquillity of this magical place and be captivated by the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside until you are once again overcome with the desire for more adventure.

Then you'll get behind the wheel again and head south - towards the Algarve! Once you arrive in Monte Gordo, there's one more stop before you dive into beach paradise: you'll visit the wetlands between Castro Mari and Vila Real de Santo António.
