Today you arrive in Naples, known as the City of a Thousand Colors. After you settle into your accommodation, if you can muster some energy for exploration, the city comes alive at night with streetside bars for an Aperol spritz and pizza at every turn. 

Today, you'll wake up early ready to see some incredible sites! Your fist stop is the Pompeii Archaeological Park. You can then decide whether to book it back to Naples to spend more time in the city, or stroll around the small town of Pompeii, soaking in a unique Italian town. Either way, you're back in Naples by nightfall, ready to try out more delicious Italian food. 

Another wonderful day in Italy! Today you travel from Naples to Antrani, a gorgeous little village on the Amalfi coast. Much of today you are on the move, but there are lots of delightful little stops along the way. Get ready to be blown away by the natural splendor of the Amalfi coast. It's a truly unique destination. 

Today is going to be an active day, so put on your best walking shoes, pack some snacks and a simple beach kit, and off we go on an adventure. You'll walk from Atrani to the hilltop town of Ravello and then back down to the coastal town of Minori. It's going to be epic! 

It's time to say goodbye to the Amalfi coast and hello to Florence. I know it's going to be hard to leave this magical coastal paradise, but believe me, Florence is going to wow you as well!

Today is all about exploring the Renaissance history of Florence, the capital of Tuscany. Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, a period of major artistic, cultural, commercial, political, economic and financial development between the 14th and 17th centuries. I recommend taking a walking tour around town. If you'd like some great free guides to the city, including impressive audio guides, check what Rick Steves has on offer on his website. I preferred to bring an old copy of his guidebook (you can find them used or online for purchase easily), and read it aloud to my travel companions as we followed his route through the city. It was fun to be one of the only tourists with a guidebook instead of looking at my phone. On the other hand, a guidebook can be hefty in the suitcase and you'll fit right in with the crowds if you're reading or listening off your phone as you explore the city. If you prefer a real live tour guide, check out the many offerings to find a city walking tour to suit your style. 

You may want to sleep in this morning before your wine tasting tour, or take a stroll in the park. If you can't get enough museums, now is another chance to soak in some culture. In the afternoon, you'll head out to the Tuscan countryside on a wine tasting tour. Finish off your time in Florence with a night out on the town. 

It's your last full day of the trip and you get to decide how to split it up between Florence and Naples. If you arrived late to Naples on your first day, I would recommend getting back there early so you have some more time to explore that city. If you have one more museum you'd like to explore in Florence, do it early and get back to Naples in the late afternoon. 

It's time to head home! Grab any last minute souvenirs or espressos you need and head to the airport. You'll be home soon, but the joys of Italy will live on in your memory for years to come... Be sure to be at the airport at least 3 hours in advance for international flights.
