Thailand is my favorite country in the world. I've been to a few countries, but I've never liked it this much. This will be my 5th trip to Thailand and again I don't want to go alone, so I thought I would show this beautiful country to others and I would like to go there in a group.😍
I like how diverse Thailand is, how beautiful nature is, the breathtaking waterfalls, the delicious cuisine and last but not least I like how cheap it is. I planned a route for us that I took just before the covida pandemic broke out. I loved the route and would love to do it again. Along the way, we will experience everything Thailand has to offer - beautiful long white sand beaches, an elephant rescue station, a Thai cooking class, Thai boxing training, swimming in lagoons under waterfalls, scooter rides and last but not least, a real party in Bangkok on the famous Khao San Road.🍸
There will be two domestic flights - this is so we don't waste time on long bus transfers. We will be staying in nice resorts/hotels by the beach and breakfast is always included. Accommodation in Thailand is affordable and the price/quality ratio there is awesome 👌 As far as eating out goes, get ready for some gastro porn. Because Thai cuisine for me is one of the best ever. Delicious padthai, green or yellow curry, prawns or maybe the famous Thai dessert mango sticky rice. Well, we definitely won't starve there and what's even better, it will cost us a few crowns. Padthai I usually get for 40 baht = 26 kč and 1 piece of sushi costs 3kč in our money 😎
What to bring? Suitable shoes for climbing on the slippery rocks on the way to the waterfalls, swimsuits, sportswear, passport, international driving license (so we can ride scooters), powerbank, good mood and we also have hepatitis A vaccination, but I'll leave that up to each of you. It is also important to dress appropriately so that we can visit temples and other sacred places - long, drapey pants and a shirt that covers the shoulders are needed. In Thailand, everything is easy to get, clothes can be washed and so there is no need to carry too much. I don't recommend taking big heavy suitcases on wheels - it's impractical. You can get by just fine with a larger backpack/trunk.
How much to bring for spending money? As for food, breakfast is included in the price. Other food is not - but that's just great because we'll be sampling from different places, restaurants, markets. As I wrote above - food is really the least of the items. On average, we spent about 300 - 400 baht (250kč) per day on food. Drinks cost similar to ours (cola 40kč), as well as alcohol (beer approximately 35 - 50kč). Another item is transportation. I prefer to move everywhere on scooters. Renting a scooter costs approximately 250 - 300 baht (200kč) per day and a litre of petrol comes out to approximately 30kč. I expect to rent scooters for about 5-6 days total. However, in Bangkok and the crazy traffic it would be suicide so we will be moving around by tuktuks (for example from accommodation to temples). We can fit 4-5 people in a tuktuk so when you budget the price is friendly, we usually worked out at 150 baht/person/trip. Well, then we have another item and that is tours and activities. When we are in Krabi, we will go on a beautiful "4 islands" trip. It's a sightseeing tour around the islands with turquoise water. This trip usually costs 700 - 800kč. It is a full day trip, the price includes transfer from accommodation, lunch, water, snorkeling equipment rental and of course a life jacket. Another trip is the Railey Peninsula, which costs similarly, I think a little less. The way it works in Thailand is that some islands are national parks and you have to pay to enter them. Entrance fees to these parks, and also to some waterfalls, range from 100 - 300 baht. But Thailand offers a lot of other activities that we will be able to try during our trip. For example, a Thai cooking course or Thai boxing training. Such a cooking course, which lasts 2-3 hours and we will prepare a total of four traditional Thai dishes will cost about 1000kč and Thai boxing training will cost about 300 - 400kč. These activities are voluntary, everyone can participate only in what they feel like! Anyway, the more activities you plan to do, the more you should factor that into your pocket money 😁 To summarise, my recommended pocket money is 800kč/day, so approximately 1300 Thai baht. 👍

It has a nice beach, it's lively, there are massage parlours everywhere where we get an hour massage for 160kč and there are lots of streetfood markets. The accommodation is called Poonsiri Resort Aonang-SHA Extra Plus and I am attaching photos. The hotel is a 4 star hotel and breakfast is included.
One of the highest waterfalls in Krabi, measuring up to 500 metres in height. The water that gushes from Khlong Haeng Waterfall comes from a small spring in Krabi's highest mountain, Theo Bencha Peak. Entrance fee 100 bht. Transportation by either scooter/tuktuk/minivan.
We go on a trip called - "4 islands trip" = Koh Poda, Tup island, Chicken island, James Bond island. As the name suggests, this is an island tour. One nicer than the other, beautiful turquoise water. Lunch on one of the islands (usually included in the price of the tour).
Railey is a small peninsula between Krabi and Ao Nang. It is only accessible by boat because of the high limestone cliffs that cut off access to the mainland. These cliffs attract climbers from all over the world, but the area is also popular for its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere. We will visit Phra Nang beach and the sacred cave.
On our last day in Krabi we will spend a Thai cooking course and in the evening we will have a Thai boxing training with a coach. Otherwise it will be a more relaxed day - swimming, sunbathing, massages... :-)
We'll move to Koh Phi Phi on the boat.We'll spend 3 nights on Koh Phi Phi Don in a beachfront hotel, with meringue and again with breakfast included. The hotel is called the Coco Bella Hotel, it is well rated and its location looks very nice to me.
Monkey beach can only be reached by kayak from our island, so we need to take advantage of that. We'll rent kayaks and head to this famous beach full of monkeys. The bay is a fairly small sandy area so it can get quite busy. So I'd like to get there early in the morning before the boats bring in dozens or hundreds of tourists from nearby resorts.
Maya Bay is a famous beach hidden among the high rocks rising from the sea on the uninhabited islet of Koh Phi Phi Lee. It is a beautiful beach with turquoise sea. The famous movie The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed here. The whole island is a national park, so you have to pay an entrance fee which is usually 200-300 baht, but it's worth it - but again, I would ideally go early in the morning so we can get photos without people. 😁

On our first day in Phuket we will explore the beautiful Phang Nga Bay. There are hundreds of incredibly beautiful islands in Phang Nga Bay. There are over 100 limestone islands rising out of the shallow water in the bay, reaching heights of up to 300m. We can rent kayaks and paddle right between the islands. In the shallows there is a chance to see leopard sharks, rays or barracudas. The bay was featured in the Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun" and the movie "Tomorrow Never Dies".
We will also visit Wat Tham (cave temple), which houses a 15-metre-long statue of the reclining Buddha.
Bangla road is one of the main tourist attractions in Phuket. The street comes alive after sunset, when the road is closed to traffic and the neon lights and music take over.Bangla Road is said to be one of the best nightlife spots in the country, so we head there for dinner and a little party. 😎
We will rent scooters and do a small tour to the temples, buddha and also to the beautiful viewpoints.
We're going to the elephant rescue station. The station is called Green Elephant Sancutary park Phuket. The price is 2,500 baht and includes - feeding the elephants, a short lecture, mud wrap for the elephants, bathing the elephants, Thai buffet, transfer from and back to the hotel, photos from the photographer which they then post on their fb.
So it's time to go back to Bangkok. We will fly from Phuket with AirAsia (flight takes about an hour). I chose accommodation in the centre near the main party street Khao San Road. The hotel is called D&D Inn Khaosan and breakfast is included.
On the day before, we go to explore the temples. It's nice that they're all quite close to each other. There is an entrance fee, but I think it's up to about 1,000 baht, and for that price you can enter all of them.
And in the evening we will have a final farewell party on Khao San Road. We'll have more Pad Thai, scorpions, tarantulas and a few drinks.
So here it is the last day = back to the Czech Republic for the winter. 😁

On our first day in Phuket we will explore the beautiful Phang Nga Bay. There are hundreds of incredibly beautiful islands in Phang Nga Bay. There are over 100 limestone islands rising out of the shallow water in the bay, reaching heights of up to 300m. We can rent kayaks and paddle right between the islands. In the shallows there is a chance to see leopard sharks, rays or barracudas. The bay was featured in the Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun" and the movie "Tomorrow Never Dies".
We will also visit Wat Tham (cave temple), which houses a 15-metre-long statue of the reclining Buddha.
Bangla road is one of the main tourist attractions in Phuket. The street comes alive after sunset, when the road is closed to traffic and the neon lights and music take over.Bangla Road is said to be one of the best nightlife spots in the country, so we head there for dinner and a little party. 😎
We will rent scooters and do a small tour to the temples, buddha and also to the beautiful viewpoints.
We're going to the elephant rescue station. The station is called Green Elephant Sancutary park Phuket. The price is 2,500 baht and includes - feeding the elephants, a short lecture, mud wrap for the elephants, bathing the elephants, Thai buffet, transfer from and back to the hotel, photos from the photographer which they then post on their fb.
So it's time to go back to Bangkok. We will fly from Phuket with AirAsia (flight takes about an hour). I chose accommodation in the centre near the main party street Khao San Road. The hotel is called D&D Inn Khaosan and breakfast is included.
On the day before, we go to explore the temples. It's nice that they're all quite close to each other. There is an entrance fee, but I think it's up to about 1,000 baht, and for that price you can enter all of them.
And in the evening we will have a final farewell party on Khao San Road. We'll have more Pad Thai, scorpions, tarantulas and a few drinks.
So here it is the last day = back to the Czech Republic for the winter. 😁
Thailand is my favorite country in the world. I've been to a few countries, but I've never liked it this much. This will be my 5th trip to Thailand and again I don't want to go alone, so I thought I would show this beautiful country to others and I would like to go there in a group.😍
I like how diverse Thailand is, how beautiful nature is, the breathtaking waterfalls, the delicious cuisine and last but not least I like how cheap it is. I planned a route for us that I took just before the covida pandemic broke out. I loved the route and would love to do it again. Along the way, we will experience everything Thailand has to offer - beautiful long white sand beaches, an elephant rescue station, a Thai cooking class, Thai boxing training, swimming in lagoons under waterfalls, scooter rides and last but not least, a real party in Bangkok on the famous Khao San Road.🍸
There will be two domestic flights - this is so we don't waste time on long bus transfers. We will be staying in nice resorts/hotels by the beach and breakfast is always included. Accommodation in Thailand is affordable and the price/quality ratio there is awesome 👌 As far as eating out goes, get ready for some gastro porn. Because Thai cuisine for me is one of the best ever. Delicious padthai, green or yellow curry, prawns or maybe the famous Thai dessert mango sticky rice. Well, we definitely won't starve there and what's even better, it will cost us a few crowns. Padthai I usually get for 40 baht = 26 kč and 1 piece of sushi costs 3kč in our money 😎
What to bring? Suitable shoes for climbing on the slippery rocks on the way to the waterfalls, swimsuits, sportswear, passport, international driving license (so we can ride scooters), powerbank, good mood and we also have hepatitis A vaccination, but I'll leave that up to each of you. It is also important to dress appropriately so that we can visit temples and other sacred places - long, drapey pants and a shirt that covers the shoulders are needed. In Thailand, everything is easy to get, clothes can be washed and so there is no need to carry too much. I don't recommend taking big heavy suitcases on wheels - it's impractical. You can get by just fine with a larger backpack/trunk.
How much to bring for spending money? As for food, breakfast is included in the price. Other food is not - but that's just great because we'll be sampling from different places, restaurants, markets. As I wrote above - food is really the least of the items. On average, we spent about 300 - 400 baht (250kč) per day on food. Drinks cost similar to ours (cola 40kč), as well as alcohol (beer approximately 35 - 50kč). Another item is transportation. I prefer to move everywhere on scooters. Renting a scooter costs approximately 250 - 300 baht (200kč) per day and a litre of petrol comes out to approximately 30kč. I expect to rent scooters for about 5-6 days total. However, in Bangkok and the crazy traffic it would be suicide so we will be moving around by tuktuks (for example from accommodation to temples). We can fit 4-5 people in a tuktuk so when you budget the price is friendly, we usually worked out at 150 baht/person/trip. Well, then we have another item and that is tours and activities. When we are in Krabi, we will go on a beautiful "4 islands" trip. It's a sightseeing tour around the islands with turquoise water. This trip usually costs 700 - 800kč. It is a full day trip, the price includes transfer from accommodation, lunch, water, snorkeling equipment rental and of course a life jacket. Another trip is the Railey Peninsula, which costs similarly, I think a little less. The way it works in Thailand is that some islands are national parks and you have to pay to enter them. Entrance fees to these parks, and also to some waterfalls, range from 100 - 300 baht. But Thailand offers a lot of other activities that we will be able to try during our trip. For example, a Thai cooking course or Thai boxing training. Such a cooking course, which lasts 2-3 hours and we will prepare a total of four traditional Thai dishes will cost about 1000kč and Thai boxing training will cost about 300 - 400kč. These activities are voluntary, everyone can participate only in what they feel like! Anyway, the more activities you plan to do, the more you should factor that into your pocket money 😁 To summarise, my recommended pocket money is 800kč/day, so approximately 1300 Thai baht. 👍

PS: The schedule may not be completely accurate. Sometimes you can't resist nature, so it may happen that due to the weather, a trip to the waterfalls is mistaken for an indoor activity - like cooking/yoga, etc. Anyway, I will do my best to make sure that everything in the program goes smoothly and we have as much experience as possible. 😍
On day 1, we will all meet at the airport. Either in Prague or in Vienna. When we fly out of Vienna, we move there together. We take the buses (Flixbus/Regiojet), someone coming from Prague and others joining along the way. At the airport we may/may not jump into the lounge, have a drink and all get to know each other. Then we're off to Bangkok.
We will stay in Bangkok on the way back. On the way there we will only change to a smaller plane and fly straight to Krabi province. The journey will take about an hour and we will fly either with AirAsia or Bangkok airways.
After arriving in Krabi, we will take a bus to the Ao Nang area. The bus costs up to 50kč and the driver will drop us off right in front of the accommodation. For me, Ao Nang is the best place to stay in Krabi. It has a nice beach, it's lively, there are massage parlours everywhere where we get an hour massage for 160kč and there are lots of streetfood markets. The accommodation is called Poonsiri Resort Aonang-SHA Extra Plus and I am attaching photos. The hotel is a 4 star hotel and breakfast is included.
One of the highest waterfalls in Krabi, measuring up to 500 metres in height. The water that gushes from Khlong Haeng Waterfall comes from a small spring in Krabi's highest mountain, Theo Bencha Peak. Entrance fee 100 bht. Transportation by either scooter/tuktuk/minivan.
We go on a trip called - "4 islands trip" = Koh Poda, Tup island, Chicken island, James Bond island. As the name suggests, this is an island tour. One nicer than the other, beautiful turquoise water. Lunch on one of the islands (usually included in the price of the tour).
Railey is a small peninsula between Krabi and Ao Nang. It is only accessible by boat because of the high limestone cliffs that cut off access to the mainland. These cliffs attract climbers from all over the world, but the area is also popular for its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere. We will visit Phra Nang beach and the sacred cave.
On our last day in Krabi we will spend a Thai cooking course and in the evening we will have a Thai boxing training with a coach. Otherwise it will be a more relaxed day - swimming, sunbathing, massages... :-)
We'll move to Koh Phi Phi on the boat.We'll spend 3 nights on Koh Phi Phi Don in a beachfront hotel, with meringue and again with breakfast included. The hotel is called the Coco Bella Hotel, it is well rated and its location looks very nice to me.
Monkey beach can only be reached by kayak from our island, so we need to take advantage of that. We'll rent kayaks and head to this famous beach full of monkeys. The bay is a fairly small sandy area so it can get quite busy. So I'd like to get there early in the morning before the boats bring in dozens or hundreds of tourists from nearby resorts.
Maya Bay is a famous beach hidden among the high rocks rising from the sea on the uninhabited islet of Koh Phi Phi Lee. It is a beautiful beach with turquoise sea. The famous movie The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed here.
