In the early evening, you will head to King Power Mahanakhon, which is an iconic skyscraper and one of the most distinctive buildings in Bangkok. It measures 319 metres and is the tallest building in Thailand. Already in the elevator that will take us up to the 75th floor a wonderful projection will be waiting for us. At the very top is a suspended glass platform where you can experience what it's like to have 300 meters of nothingness below you. :)
If you will be leaving Bangkok in the evening, I recommend a visit to Chinatown. After packing your luggage, store it at the hotel and use the remaining time to buy the last souvenirs.

DESTINATION
All hotels have the option to pay extra for breakfast except for the first night in Bangkok, as you will be leaving very early in the morning. Breakfasts on Koh Chang and in Bangkok are served buffet style and are plentiful. Although this is breakfast, you will also be able to choose from several Thai main meals. Breakfasts on Koh Kood are ala carte, you choose from the menu and they will prepare it freshly for you and even if you don't choose they will try to accommodate you and prepare something individually.
The rest of the day will be self-catering, however you will eat cheaper in Thailand than here. You should expect to pay 80-200 CZK for lunch or dinner, depending on whether you want to eat in stalls or in a restaurant.
TRAVEL
You can try almost all kinds of transportation. You will sail by boat both between the islands and in Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River, then take a bus, minivan, taxi and tuktuk. You can rent a scooter on both islands, but you need an international driving licence and an A licence (A1 or AM is not sufficient). Although they would most likely rent you a scooter in Thailand, in the event of an accident, the insurance company would refuse to pay because you were driving without a licence.
Prices for optional tours are very individual, it will depend on whether you go with an organised tour or arrange with someone local and also how many you go with. Generally, the prices of the tours range from 800 to 5000 THB.
I recommend dressing comfortably for a long flight and choosing long sleeves and trousers, as the air conditioning both on the plane and at the airport can run at full blast. You may want to pack a change of summer clothes in your hand luggage for when you land in Bangkok, as it will be very hot and humid as soon as you leave the airport.
At the airport you can exchange euros or dollars for Thai baht or withdraw cash from the ATM. However, you need to carry cash as the immigration officer may ask you to show cash of THB 20,000 (13,000 CZK) or equivalent in another currency. As a rule, this does not happen, but it is better to be prepared. :)
You can try to secure Thai baht already in the country, some exchange offices have them on offer, but I recommend calling ahead to check if they are currently trading and possibly make a reservation.
Upon arrival, transfer to accommodation. I recommend downloading the Grab or InDrive app and ordering a ride, it's much cheaper than an airport taxi. At Suvarnabhumi Airport, go to the 4th floor for departures - Departure hall. The reason is that the arrival hall is often congested due to the high number of taxis and shuttle buses. Wait near the exit that the driver indicates in the app.
If the room isn't ready when you arrive, you can at least store your luggage there and explore the world-famous Khao San road, which is within walking distance. This street is famous for its nightlife, with many bars, clubs, restaurants, but you will find mainly classic Thai street food (street food stalls). You can taste delicious Thai food, but also various insects - crickets, grasshoppers, larvae... On Khao san road, buy a bus ticket for the next morning to cross to Koh Kood island, there are plenty of merchants offering transportation. Can also be purchased through the Rome2Rio app from home. Make sure you include transport to the port, the boat to Koh Kood and then local transport to your accommodation (this is usually included in the boat ticket). If you have only paid for the bus to the port, that's fine.
I recommend buying a bus with a departure at 6:00 from Khao San road, which will take you to the port, where you just transfer to the boat. It will take you straight to Koh Kood island. The whole journey to Koh Kood will take about 8 hours in total.

Once you've checked in, head to reception to arrange a boat transfer to Koh Chang. You pay at the reception and they'll arrange everything for you, including the transfer to the port.
Today you can head to the beautiful beach, which is just a few minutes walk away, or you can choose to tour the island on a scooter. The island is approximately 25km long and around 12km wide and is still less developed than some other Thai islands, giving it a more peaceful atmosphere.
This resort has one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. You can fully enjoy the beach and the resort if you buy a drink on the beach - a coffee or a cold drink, the prices are not expensive at all.
Today you can go and discover another beach, which is only a five-minute walk away. Or you can arrange a tour of the island with the owners or meet a local guide, who will be happy to put you in touch with them.
