To visit Wat Arun you will need to use the water public transport. At the Tah Tian pier, get on a boat that will take you straight to Wat Arun. The main tower, Wat Arun, measures 82 metres and can be partially climbed.

In Ayutthaya there is a specific type of temples, different than anywhere else in Thailand. There are 9 main temples, each of them has a small parking lot, some food and drink stalls, toilets and a kiosk for paying the entrance fee (some temples are free, the biggest ones charge around 50 baht. In total, however, the complex numbers many other Buddhist temples, monasteries and ancient statues of enormous proportions. What I recommend avoiding are the floating markets in the complex, which have been greatly marred by the ravages of time and you are sure to come across better ones during your visit to Thailand.
