Now you will get to know the Capricho de Gaudí. This is an early work by the famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1883–1885). You may know him if you have visited the Sagrada Familia or Park Guell in Barcelona. Here is some interesting information about this building:
- Unusual mix of styles: The house combines Orientalism, Mudéjar elements and Neo-Gothic style. Above all, the tower-like structure with green and yellow ceramic tiles looks almost fairytale-like.
- Sunflower motif: The famous ceramic tiles show sunflowers, a symbol of light and life. This fits in with the concept of the house, which is strongly oriented towards the course of the sun.

Explore an untouched, very wide natural beach, enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the feeling of the sand under your feet. Pine forests and dunes also await you. The ideal environment for active recreation. Every now and then you can also watch surfers riding the waves. I also have a nice suggestion for a regenerative hike with great views and few people.
Now you're exploring a very special place, the untouched Playa de Oyambre (= Oyambre beach). On the wide beach you can enjoy an extensive picnic, read in peace or take a long walk on the beach.
Tip: It is often windy here, so a windbreaker or similar can't hurt.
I did a wonderful hike on Playa de Oyambre using the hiking app "Komoot", which I highly recommend. It is approximately 6 kilometers and you will manage 130 meters in altitude. Plan 2 - 3 hours for it. You can find the hike here.
In the evening there is only a short drive of about 25 minutes to your accommodation, so you can preserve the relaxation of the day.

This is a small beach right on the edge of town – perfect for a walk, sunbathing or enjoying the view of the Ría. Treat yourself to some exercise after the long drive. You will always have a view of the sea and small bays.

Combarro, a picturesque fishing village on the Ría de Pontevedra, enchants with its narrow streets, traditional stone houses, and the iconic 'horreos' (traditional granaries). The perfect place for a relaxing getaway with views of the sea and mountains.
Rúa do Mar and Rúa de San Roque are narrow, historic streets that run along the coast and convey a typical Galician fishing village feeling. Many of the old storage buildings and fishermen's houses have been lovingly restored and now house restaurants, small shops, and cafes. The most beautiful streets directly by the water: old stone houses, wooden balconies, flowers, cats, postcard vibes.

The "hórreos" (= granaries) are THE landmark of Combarro. These old granaries are located directly on the coast – which is unique in Galicia. They are especially beautiful at low tide or in the warm evening light.
Have you noticed the stone crosses in Combarro yet? They are distributed all over the village and are typical Galician. Pay special attention to the stone crosses near the Hórreos – they offer you great photo spots.
Continue upwards to the Iglesia vella de San Roque (small church). The detour is worthwhile, as you get a great view of Combarro from above.
