A cruise to the most beautiful corners of the Gulf of Orosei begins at the iconic Cala Mariolu beach, which can only be reached by boat from the sea or via a challenging hike for experienced trekkers that takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. This hidden paradise will immediately enchant you with its dazzling white pebbles and incredibly clear, turquoise water. It is the perfect place to experience the wild and untouched beauty of Sardinia right from the very first stop.
Next, we move on to Cala Goloritzé, which you can only reach by boat or by hiking (approx. 1.5 hours there and 2–2.5 hours back); if you decide to go on foot, you need a reservation, as the capacity is limited to 250 visitors per day, whereas you don't have to worry about this when arriving by boat.
This iconic beach with its dramatic limestone arch and incredibly clear water is one of the most photogenic spots on Sardinia – and the very moment you see it in person, you'll understand exactly why it is absolutely "worth visiting".
During the cruise, you can also look forward to great swimming stops right from the anchored boat in the crystal-clear sea, and the entire trip concludes with a stop at the famous Cala Luna beach. This beach is known primarily for its iconic, massive caves carved directly into the rocky cliffs, which provide pleasant natural shade and create incredible scenery. Head to one of Sardinia's most iconic spots—the famous La Pelosa beach. You'll spend most of the day here, fully soaking up some unforgettable relaxation in a place that looks just like a postcard. The turquoise sea, white sand, and views of the historic Torre della Pelosa create a spot you'll never forget from your holiday. After a day full of sun and swimming, you'll head in the evening to the port town of Porto San Paolo, which will be your base for the next few days and offers a great atmosphere for evening unwinding.
Even upon arrival, you can admire the incredible colors of the sea from the car window. It is located approximately 2 km from the fishing town of Stintino and is famous for its fine white sand, clear turquoise water, and a view of the historic Torre della Pelosa tower. Due to environmental protection, strict rules apply here. You need to book your spot in advance, and there is a fee for both the beach and parking (if you don't have a reservation, you cannot be on the sandy part of the beach, though there is a chance to lie on the rocks along the beach).

Porto San Paolo welcomes you with a peaceful seaside atmosphere and one of the most beautiful views on the coast – right opposite the town rises the monumental island of Tavolara, which serves as a natural landmark for the entire bay. In the evening, we recommend a stroll along the harbor, where you can enjoy the sunset, local restaurants, and the pleasant vibe of a small Sardinian town.
You'll start your morning in the charming mountain town of San Pantaleo. If you plan your visit for a Thursday, you'll experience the unique atmosphere of the traditional morning market. In the afternoon, it'll be time to swap mountain scenery for the coast and spend the rest of the day at your final beach stop: Cala Brandinchi. You'll wrap up your six-day road trip in style with an excellent dinner at a nearby restaurant, offering a diverse menu and great value for money.
There's something for everyone at the markets; you'll find traditional Sardinian specialties, local handicrafts, and even luxury goods. During your visit, you can wander through the picturesque Italian streets and admire the beautiful mountain views that surround the town.
You can park anywhere on the streets where you can find a spot that isn't marked otherwise. We chose to park in a side street near the gas station. It’s free, and it took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the center.
Cala Brandinchi Beach, often nicknamed "Little Tahiti," is one of the most beautiful beaches in northeast Sardinia and will enchant you at first sight with its white sandy shore, shallow turquoise water, and view of Tavolara Island. Thanks to the gradual entry into the sea, it is perfect for peaceful swimming and long walks along the coast, while its tropical appearance creates the feeling that you are far beyond the borders of the Mediterranean. During the peak season, entry is regulated and visits must be booked in advance.

Spagomatto is a cozy restaurant near Cala Brandinchi that offers a wide selection of dishes, ranging from traditional Italian cuisine to fresh seafood specialties. It's the perfect spot for a final dinner on your trip – you can enjoy quality food at reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere.
Depending on your flight time, you can use your last day to explore Olbia, the fourth-largest city in Sardinia. As it is an important port city, we definitely recommend a walk along the waterfront, which you can easily reach from the historic center via a pleasant pedestrian zone. In addition to the harbor, you'll be charmed by the narrow streets, cafes, and one last dose of authentic Sardinian atmosphere before you fly out.
