Taxis are waiting in front of the airport arrival hall; agree on the price in advance and have the name and address of your hotel ready.

If you have some time and energy left, you can treat yourself to a stroll through this chaotic capital—welcome to Manila. 

Domestic flights depart from a different terminal, which is further away from the international one. You need to let your driver know exactly where to go. Even for a short domestic flight, you still need to be at the airport 2 hours before departure.

Have you ever seen such a tiny airport? Grab a taxi or a tuk-tuk outside the terminal and your adventure begins.

A small but energetic town that is a great starting point. Let yourself be carried away by the charming streets or tempted into restaurants for seafood specialties.

You can find several scooter rental shops in the town, and accommodation providers often offer this service as well; Bella's Motorbike Rentals has great reviews. I recommend taking photos of the scooter whenever you rent one, and never leave your passport as a "deposit" anywhere—use a different document instead, as your passport is your most important document abroad. Renting a scooter is easy, and there's no need to worry about the driving itself; just go at your own pace since you're on vacation. Google Maps is perfectly fine for navigation—you can set your stops while you're still in your room, so you don't have to waste or pay for data. 

👉Rent the scooter for 3 days; you'll still need it. If you don't feel comfortable with that, you can take a taxi or a tuk-tuk to the beach. 

One of the most beautiful beaches in this part of the island, featuring stunning scenery and great conditions for swimming and spending a day by the sea. You can grab a snack directly at the beach restaurants/bars, and for the more adventurous, the beach also offers a zip-line attraction; the start is at a point above the beach, and you have to get there by scooter or take a ride up. Parking is easy and available at the McDonald's right on the main road, from where you just walk down the lane.

After booking, you'll get all the details about the meeting point, all the stops, lunch, snorkeling gear (if you don't have your own), as well as a kayak, all included in the tour price. But the locals definitely deserve a tip at the end of the trip 😉

A beach known for the tall palm trees surrounding it, its fine white sand, and clear turquoise water. The beach is only accessible by boat.

A small island surrounded by limestone formations and islets, where the local beach with crystal clear water offers beautiful views of the surroundings. A perfect place to enjoy lunch.

A well-known hidden lagoon with a "pool", accessible only during low tide as the entrance is through a hole/rocky opening.

Enjoying and exploring the Big Lagoon from your own kayak is an experience you won't forget. The lagoon hides some amazing scenery, is surrounded by limestone cliffs, and is completed by shades of turquoise water. You can even kayak through a small cave located there.

The beach offers opportunities for relaxation, swimming, and exploration. At one end, it connects with Calitang Beach at a certain point, creating the so-called Twin-beach. You can also take a short hike up a small local hill at the end of the beach to enjoy the view from a higher vantage point. You can park directly by the beach under the palm trees near the local restaurants. 

Even though it's such a small airport and it's a local flight, the same rules apply. I recommend being at the airport two hours before departure.

A taxi or tuk-tuk will take you from the airport to your accommodation. If you have some time, feel free to take a walk and explore your new surroundings.

Once you've checked in and have some time to spare, take a walk through the streets of Tagbilaran City. Check out the square with the small church, spend some time in the shopping malls, or head over to the local market.

For transportation, you can rent a scooter again and enjoy exploring on your own. You can use the company BOHOL MOTORBIKE RENTAL AAANOVIM for rentals.

These are more than 1,200 cone-shaped hills that are unique to Bohol Island. During the rainy season, the hills are green, but in the dry season, they dry out and turn brown, which is why they look like chocolate mountains, hence their name. 

The parking lot is located by the main road, where you park and buy an entrance ticket along with a return ticket for the minibus that shuttles visitors up to the viewpoint and back to the parking lot.

You won't see these tiny primates just anywhere. They are only 10-13cm big and their huge eyes, which are larger than their brains, will captivate you. You'll fall in love with these cute creatures immediately. You can buy tickets directly at the center and take a tour with a local staff member.

Boat tickets can be purchased directly on site, but for the sake of your schedule, it's better to book them in advance. To purchase tickets, use the website 12go.asia, where you set your departure port, destination port, choose the date, number of people, and select a specific time; you pay online, and within 3 days you will receive tickets via email, which you then use at the port to get your official tickets with codes. The terminal works much like an airport, and it's a good idea to arrive with plenty of time to spare, at least 90 minutes before departure.

Once you arrive at the port, there will be plenty of tuk-tuk drivers or taxi drivers waiting to take you to your hotel.

Swimming with a whale shark is something you won't soon forget. However, to make it happen, you need to book a tour through a local tour operator. I recommend Mcrich Travel; they have great drivers, excellent overall organization, and will take great care of you and your day. We set off very early in the morning, and you'll receive all the information after booking the activity. (The following activity—canyoning—is also part of the tour.)

It's good to know that this is a unique and, because of that, a massive tourist attraction. You might have to spend some time on the shore, but it passes quickly, and it's definitely worth the experience. There are souvenir shops nearby where you can grab a coffee, get a snack, and pass the time until it's your turn. If you don't have an underwater camera, you can also buy a waterproof pouch for your phone in the shops to capture these moments.

An awesome adventure! If you think you've already seen every shade of turquoise, you're wrong. You're in for 3-4 hours of canyoning, waterfalls, swimming, jumps, slides, a swing, and tons of fun, entertainment, and experiences. Every couple, group, or individual is assigned a local guide who will lead you through the canyon and take photos of you the whole time. Just let yourself be guided and enjoy it to the fullest!
