We went to South Moravia by train in the middle of September. The journey passed pleasantly and at the station we were met by a great driver with a car that accompanied us throughout our stay. We visited a total of 8 local businesses. We also visited the Velkopopovice Wine Festival with a great program, I definitely recommend seeing it. However, our trip was not only about local businesses, but also about the natural beauty of South Moravia. One of the most beautiful places we saw was the Pouzdřanská steppe. The most beautiful place we visited was the chocolate factory Herufek near Čejč. I definitely have to come back here :)
On the first day we visited Mándlárna, Mandloňové sady, Ambrožův dvůr - where we had our base all weekend :) We had lunch in a local restaurant in Hustopeče. We also visited the Zonberg winery. And we ended the day in the beautiful Ambrožův Dvůr, where we were treated to a Kombucha workshop by Loklok, a local producer of this product. Wine tasting and barbecue followed.
The Mandlárna welcomed us as the very first in South Moravia and we started with a tasting of coffee and the local product Mandlovice. We tasted different products in the place and heard about the history of the place. At the same time we had a peek into the production and moved on to the Almond Orchard.

Where we tried our hand at shelling almonds and took advantage of the beautiful lookout point from which the sets are visible.

In the Zonberg winery we tried our hand at wine making and tasted the local bourbon. I definitely recommend a visit.

We slept in Ambrose's Manor. The place has a great atmosphere and peace. We had a Kombucha making workshop and wine tasting in the local cellar. After a wonderful dinner we just enjoyed the fresh air and the tranquility of the small town. In the morning we were surprised by a breakfast basket. Really lovely accommodation with great service.

Breakfast in bed was a really great start to the day.

On the second day we saw Lacina winery and Habánské sklepy as the first. We really enjoyed the Apricot wine tasting.

What followed was the Slunečná viewpoint, where unfortunately the sun was not shining much, but hopefully you will have better luck. :)

A beautiful lunch in a beautiful place, that's the only way to describe the experience.

A beautiful event ending with culture and actually the most important cultural insert of this trip. It was my first time at such an event, but I really liked it.

An absolutely epic sunset, which unfortunately through our own fault we didn't get to see much of, but again I have every reason to return to this magical place in the future. :)

This place is really great, I recommend to visit between June and July when the lavender blooms, but still a great experience with a very nice owner.

An incredibly interesting gastronomic experience, I recommend it with all 10.

And finally, the real highlight of our trip. For me, Herufek is probably the best chocolate I've ever had :-) Awesome people making awesome products, I really recommend to support and go here or buy chocolate with bread from the eshop :))

We really enjoyed the trip to South Moravia and I am glad that we could support local businesses.
