We will show you the modernised squares and representative buildings.
After breakfast we will head to Lake Matka, as the Macedonians call this body of water. In Czech, however, we would correctly translate the name as dam. The green surrounding landscape combined with the water surface of the lake conjures up a beautiful view of the "canyon". The Church of St. Andrew, situated on the shore of the lake, is just the right sight to make you think that Northern Macedonia is worth it. After visiting the Mother, we head towards Lake Ohrid. Then we move to the hotel, check in and have dinner.
With a good breakfast we head to the other side of Lake Ohrid to almost the Albanian border. Our destination is the monastery of St. Naum dating from the 10th century. Lake Ohrid itself is called the "Macedonian Sea" by the locals. And rightly so. Therefore, if the weather is good, we will stop at one of the beaches on the way back to see for ourselves. In the early evening we will visit the town of Ohrid itself. The picturesque streets by the lake of the same name, the churches and the view of the town itself and the lake with the local fortress will be the highlight of this day. In the evening return to the hotel, dinner.
This part of the program will be a surprise from our guide. We can only tell you that we will go to unspoiled nature and mountain scenery. We're going to walk through the mountains. And if you don't want to walk, we'll offer an alternative program. In the evening we will return to our hotel in Ohrid and have dinner.
