If you arrive in Miami during the day, you'll have a beautiful view of the Florida coastline and Miami Beach from the plane. You may then see planes landing in parallel, as there are two runways side by side in Miami.
On entering the airport area, turn on your US data SIM card or connect to the free wifi.
At customs, be prepared for questions like these:
What is the purpose of your trip, how many days will you spend in the U.S., what places will you visit, where are you working and what are you doing, how much cash are you taking with you.
Then pick up the car as instructed.
Your accommodation is located directly on Hollywood Beach, just north of Miami Beach. Unlike South Beach, this location is quieter and therefore particularly suitable for families or travellers looking for peace and quiet. The apartment has 2 bedrooms

It is located on the first of the islands leading to Key Biscayne. Here, you'll experience a breathtaking view of the Miami skyline and an enchanting sunset. Parking and access to the beach is free. The beach closes after sunset (around 6 p.m. in February).
You will spend the whole third day on the road. The first stop will be Key Largo and then you will move to the border of Everglades National Park. So be prepared to take food and drink with you.
Meet dolphins at the Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Responder in Key Largo, a rescue and research station exploring dolphin life. This is a truly unique experience where keepers will first introduce you to dolphin life and behavior both in the wild and in captivity. Buy a takeaway or dine in at John Pennekamp Camp Area, a recreational park lined with mangroves. Check out the local underwater life at the Visitor Centre or take a refreshing dip in the sea at Cannon Beach. Park admission is approximately $10 per car and 4 visitors.
On your return from Key Largo, stop by Everglades Alligator Farm where your kids will have the unforgettable experience of holding a baby alligator at one of two shows. In addition to alligators, the farm offers several other species of animals to see, such as parrots, turtles, snakes, etc. If you've experienced a little adrenaline rush, you can also take a ride around the local wetlands in an airboat - a watercraft powered by a giant motorized fan. Advance reservations are not required.
You leave Miami and head to Kissimmee, which is part of the Orlando metropolitan area. The advantage of Kissimmee is its proximity to all of Orlando's attractions (within a 15-minute drive), including Disney World, which you're going to the next day. There is also a Walmart Supercenter close by.
Orlando is famous not only for its theme parks, but also for its cheap outlet shopping. We definitely recommend visiting one of them, such as the classic outdoor outlet mall Vineland Premium Outlets. After shopping, move to your accommodation.
The accommodation at this resort is absolutely fantastic. Pictorial houses, a lake with a lighted fountain, a pool with a slide for children... and most of all, amazing tranquility... but beware of alligators :) The three bedroom apartment is fully equipped.
During this day you will visit one of the Disney World parks - Magic Kingdom. Expect the park to be very large and combined with the high temperature, the day will be somewhat challenging. Bring plenty of drinks with you. If you want to save money, bring food with you. It is very expensive in the park.
Be sure to buy your tickets in advance, as they often sell out on exposed days during spring break.
It's not for nothing that they say a visit to Disney World will be the most expensive day of your life. From tickets to parking to food, they'll make you pay royally for everything. On the other hand, it is an unforgettable experience not only for kids but also for adults. The price of admission includes all the attractions, including an approach train or boat that will take you from the parking lot to the main gate of the park. The advantage is that you can leave the park and come back later if your children want to take a break during the day. And the park is really big! During the day you can enjoy 2 parades of the most famous Disney characters and in the evening a spectacular fireworks display. We recommend buying food and drink to go to save a buck. Ice cream will set you back $6. Don't forget to pick up a free "My First Visit" badge at any of the stores. Then, in the evening after dark, the highlight of the evening is the fireworks display over the castle.
Your next stop will be the Kennedy Space Center, which opens at 9 a.m. Check out of your accommodations early in the morning to be among the first to arrive and avoid the morning rush hour in Orlando.

1) Bus tour - start with a tour of the facility where you will see the actual launch pads for the rockets and the building where the rockets are assembled.
2) Apollo Saturn 5 center - get off here as part of the bus tour. In this exibition you will see the Apollo project, including a recreation of the Apollo 8 liftoff right in the launch room. Then see the largest rocket ever assembled - the Saturn 5. You can also touch a real moon rock. Finally, visit a screening of the first lunar landing.
3) Space shuttle Atlantis - In this exhibition, you will see the space shuttle Atlantis and experience a ride in the shuttle simulator.
4) Heros and Legends Astronaut Hall of Fame - a museum of space artifacts and personal effects of astronauts.
5) Rocket garden - outdoor rocket exhibition.

After this day trip, head back to Miami to begin preparing for tomorrow's boarding. If you want to save money on paid drinks on board the ship, stop by Walmart on your way back to Miami. A maximum of 1 original packaged bottle of wine (750 ml) per person over 21 years of age is allowed on board Carnival ships. In addition, a maximum of 12 12 oz (354 ml) bottles or cans of soft drinks per person may be taken. All of these should then be carried as part of your hand luggage.
Return your car at the airport and relax at this pleasant hotel by the airport, accessible by taxi in 10 minutes.

The port of Amber Cove is located west of Puerto Plata, and is well worth a taxi ride down to enjoy a day strolling through the historic center of town. A taxi ride will set you back $35 one way.
Make your first stop in the famous street painted pink - Paseo de Dona Blanca.
Then head past the statue of Gregorio Luperón, the revolutionary who fought for the restoration of Dominican independence, to the Cathedral of the Apostle Philip.
Finish the downtown loop on Umbrella Street, a street overhung by rows of colorful umbrellas.
You'll then make your way to the Puerto Plata harbour to St Philip's Fortress, where on the way you'll visit local souvenir shops where you can buy locally grown vanilla extract. The Fortaleza de San Felipe stands close to the harbour, and outside the fort there is an amphitheatre and a yellow lookout tower.
After returning from the trip, you can stay in the port terminal, where there are all the facilities to entertain children and adults - swimming pools, lazy river, children's water playground, water slides. Everything is free of charge.
If you're more drawn to the sea and beach, you can walk to Playita de Maimón beach. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by leaving the terminal and taking a left at the main road. Then turn left again at the arrow pointing to the beach.

Grand Turk, the second most populous island of the Turks and Caicos archipelago, is geographically located between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Politically, it falls within the overseas territory of Great Britain. In addition to its colonial and slave past, one of the main milestones in the island's history is 1962, when American astronaut John Glenn first set foot on the surface of the Earth after circumnavigating the globe in the Friendship 7 space shuttle. Today, however, life on the island has been fully restored.
The harbour itself offers a nice swimming beach, facilities for cruise ship passengers or a wide variety of excursions around the island. To visit the beach, take a left when you enter the port terminal. Just off the pier you'll see blue deck chairs, which belong to the cruise company and are therefore free. If you continue further along the beach, you will arrive at the part of the beach managed by the locals (orange sunbeds). These are then available for a fee. You can catch wifi at the harbour by the Starbucks café.
On your last day on the ship, make the most of it and try out the full range of activities the ship has to offer. Follow the daily schedule in the app to see what's happening on the ship.

Then head past the statue of Gregorio Luperón, the revolutionary who fought for the restoration of Dominican independence, to the Cathedral of the Apostle Philip.
Finish the downtown loop on Umbrella Street, a street overhung by rows of colorful umbrellas.
You'll then make your way to the Puerto Plata harbour to St Philip's Fortress, where on the way you'll visit local souvenir shops where you can buy locally grown vanilla extract. The Fortaleza de San Felipe stands close to the harbour, and outside the fort there is an amphitheatre and a yellow lookout tower.

The harbour itself offers a nice swimming beach, facilities for cruise ship passengers or a wide variety of excursions around the island. To visit the beach, take a left when you enter the port terminal. Just off the pier you'll see blue deck chairs, which belong to the cruise company and are therefore free. If you continue further along the beach, you will arrive at the part of the beach managed by the locals (orange sunbeds). These are then available for a fee. You can catch wifi at the harbour by the Starbucks café.
On your last day on the ship, make the most of it and try out the full range of activities the ship has to offer. Follow the daily schedule in the app to see what's happening on the ship.

On entering the airport area, turn on your US data SIM card or connect to the free wifi.

Meet dolphins at the Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Responder in Key Largo, a rescue and research station exploring dolphin life. On your return from Key Largo, stop by Everglades Alligator Farm where your kids will have the unforgettable experience of holding a baby alligator at one of two shows. In addition to alligators, the farm offers several other species of animals to see, such as parrots, turtles, snakes, etc. If you've experienced a little adrenaline rush, you can also take a ride around the local wetlands in an airboat - a watercraft powered by a giant motorized fan. You leave Miami and head to Kissimmee, which is part of the Orlando metropolitan area. The advantage of Kissimmee is its proximity to all of Orlando's attractions (within a 15-minute drive), including Disney World, which you're going to the next day. There is also a Walmart Supercenter close by.
Orlando is famous not only for its theme parks, but also for its cheap outlet shopping. We definitely recommend visiting one of them, such as the classic outdoor outlet mall Vineland Premium Outlets. After shopping, move to your accommodation.
The accommodation at this resort is absolutely fantastic. Pictorial houses, a lake with a lighted fountain, a pool with a slide for children... and most of all, amazing tranquility... but beware of alligators :) The three bedroom apartment is fully equipped.
During this day you will visit one of the Disney World parks - Magic Kingdom. Expect the park to be very large and combined with the high temperature, the day will be somewhat challenging. Bring plenty of drinks with you. If you want to save money, bring food with you. It is very expensive in the park.
Be sure to buy your tickets in advance, as they often sell out on exposed days during spring break.
It's not for nothing that they say a visit to Disney World will be the most expensive day of your life. From tickets to parking to food, they'll make you pay royally for everything. On the other hand, it is an unforgettable experience not only for kids but also for adults. The price of admission includes all the attractions, including an approach train or boat that will take you from the parking lot to the main gate of the park. The advantage is that you can leave the park and come back later if your children want to take a break during the day. And the park is really big! During the day you can enjoy 2 parades of the most famous Disney characters and in the evening a spectacular fireworks display. We recommend buying food and drink to go to save a buck. Ice cream will set you back $6. Don't forget to pick up a free "My First Visit" badge at any of the stores. Then, in the evening after dark, the highlight of the evening is the fireworks display over the castle.
Your next stop will be the Kennedy Space Center, which opens at 9 a.m. Check out of your accommodations early in the morning to be among the first to arrive and avoid the morning rush hour in Orlando.

1) Bus tour - start with a tour of the facility where you will see the actual launch pads for the rockets and the building where the rockets are assembled.

3) Space shuttle Atlantis - In this exhibition, you will see the space shuttle Atlantis and experience a ride in the shuttle simulator.

In addition to alligators, the farm offers several other species of animals to see, such as parrots, turtles, snakes, etc. If you've experienced a little adrenaline rush, you can also take a ride around the local wetlands in an airboat - a watercraft powered by a giant motorized fan. Advance reservations are not required.
You leave Miami and head to Kissimmee, which is part of the Orlando metropolitan area. The advantage of Kissimmee is its proximity to all of Orlando's attractions (within a 15-minute drive), including Disney World, which you're going to the next day. There is also a Walmart Supercenter close by.
Orlando is famous not only for its theme parks, but also for its cheap outlet shopping. We definitely recommend visiting one of them, such as the classic outdoor outlet mall Vineland Premium Outlets. After shopping, move to your accommodation.
The accommodation at this resort is absolutely fantastic. Pictorial houses, a lake with a lighted fountain, a pool with a slide for children... and most of all, amazing tranquility... but beware of alligators :) The three bedroom apartment is fully equipped.
During this day you will visit one of the Disney World parks - Magic Kingdom. Expect the park to be very large and combined with the high temperature, the day will be somewhat challenging. Bring plenty of drinks with you. If you want to save money, bring food with you. It is very expensive in the park.
Be sure to buy your tickets in advance, as they often sell out on exposed days during spring break.
It's not for nothing that they say a visit to Disney World will be the most expensive day of your life. From tickets to parking to food, they'll make you pay royally for everything. On the other hand, it is an unforgettable experience not only for kids but also for adults. The price of admission includes all the attractions, including an approach train or boat that will take you from the parking lot to the main gate of the park. The advantage is that you can leave the park and come back later if your children want to take a break during the day. And the park is really big! During the day you can enjoy 2 parades of the most famous Disney characters and in the evening a spectacular fireworks display. We recommend buying food and drink to go to save a buck. Ice cream will set you back $6. Don't forget to pick up a free "My First Visit" badge at any of the stores. Then, in the evening after dark, the highlight of the evening is the fireworks display over the castle.
Your next stop will be the Kennedy Space Center, which opens at 9 a.m. Check out of your accommodations early in the morning to be among the first to arrive and avoid the morning rush hour in Orlando.
Kennedy Space Center will be an experience for adults and children alike. Purchase tickets online in advance to save time in line. Below you will find the TOP attractions not to be missed:
1) Bus tour - start with a tour of the facility where you will see the actual launch pads for the rockets and the building where the rockets are assembled.
2) Apollo Saturn 5 center - get off here as part of the bus tour. In this exibition you will see the Apollo project, including a recreation of the Apollo 8 liftoff right in the launch room. Then see the largest rocket ever assembled - the Saturn 5. You can also touch a real moon rock. Finally, visit a screening of the first lunar landing.
3) Space shuttle Atlantis - In this exhibition, you will see the space shuttle Atlantis and experience a ride in the shuttle simulator.
4) Heros and Legends Astronaut Hall of Fame - a museum of space artifacts and personal effects of astronauts.
5) Rocket garden - outdoor rocket exhibition.
If you need to keep the kids more entertained, visit Planet Play - a space playground full of climbing frames.
After this day trip, head back to Miami to begin preparing for tomorrow's boarding. If you want to save money on paid drinks on board the ship, stop by Walmart on your way back to Miami. A maximum of 1 original packaged bottle of wine (750 ml) per person over 21 years of age is allowed on board Carnival ships. In addition, a maximum of 12 12 oz (354 ml) bottles or cans of soft drinks per person may be taken. All of these should then be carried as part of your hand luggage.
Return your car at the airport and relax at this pleasant hotel by the airport, accessible by taxi in 10 minutes.
Pack your luggage so that you have the essentials for your first few hours on the ship, including a swimsuit, in your carry-on or backpack. Checked luggage will be checked and will not be available for several hours after boarding.
Take a taxi from your accommodation to Port Miami. Upon arrival at the terminal, attach tags to large bags and hand them to the porters free of charge. Leave your hand luggage with you.
Enter the terminal lobby where you will be taken through the check-in process. Prepare for security screening and document review - passports, ESTA and online check-in confirmation.
Each person in the cabin will receive a card that serves as your room card, your ID card upon embarkation and disembarkation, but also as a payment card on board as it is linked to the credit card from your reservation. Only this card is used to pay on board.
After embarkation, you will receive in-app evacuation training, which will conclude with a visit to the muster station - the assembly point where you will move to in the event of an evacuation. Follow the instructions in your app or on the radio.
Your stateroom will not be immediately available after embarkation as cleanup is still underway. Cabins are usually not available until after 2pm. Have lunch in the buffet restaurant or start your tour of the ship. Towels are available for loan at the pool.
Once your cabin is available, your checked luggage will probably not yet be available. These will be delivered to you in the hallway outside your room during the afternoon.
You will meet your maid who will clean your cabin regularly during your stay. Agree with him/her what time of the day you would like to be cleaned. If you have a cabin for 4 people, the sofa will be laid out for you or the beds, which are built into the ceiling, will be opened by the maid. Once your suitcases arrive, unpack and store them under the bed.
The ship leaves port at 4pm so be sure to head up to the upper deck to properly enjoy the departure.
Half Moon Cay or Little San Salvador, a private Bahamian island owned by Holland America, is a gem on your cruise. On this island you'll find fine white sand and turquoise blue seas. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself - NO FILTER!

The departure boat will dock near the island as there is no pier built here. Construction of the pier is expected to begin in 2025. Until the pier is complete, smaller boats (tenders) will transport you to the island. To avoid long queues on disembarkation, there is a schedule of tender departures to the island. If you want to leave early in the morning, pick up your tender boarding pass around 7am - see information in the app.
Once you arrive at the island, head left towards the beach and continue along the beach until you reach the pirate ship (bar) where you will find divine tranquility, free sunbeds and shade.
Then in the middle of the island is the grill bar where you can enjoy free burgers, hot dogs, grilled meats, salads as well as water, lemonade, iced tea and fruit.
You no longer need boarding passes for the return journey. Tenders run at short regular intervals back to the ship.
A day at sea will be full of exploring the nooks and crannies of the Carnival Magic cruise ship. Below is a summary of the main activities this particular ship has to offer. The port of Amber Cove is located west of Puerto Plata, and is well worth a taxi ride down to enjoy a day strolling through the historic center of town. A taxi ride will set you back $35 one way.
Make your first stop in the famous street painted pink - Paseo de Dona Blanca.
Then head past the statue of Gregorio Luperón, the revolutionary who fought for the restoration of Dominican independence, to the Cathedral of the Apostle Philip.
Finish the downtown loop on Umbrella Street, a street overhung by rows of colorful umbrellas.
You'll then make your way to the Puerto Plata harbour to St Philip's Fortress, where on the way you'll visit local souvenir shops where you can buy locally grown vanilla extract. The Fortaleza de San Felipe stands close to the harbour, and outside the fort there is an amphitheatre and a yellow lookout tower.
After returning from the trip, you can stay in the port terminal, where there are all the facilities to entertain children and adults - swimming pools, lazy river, children's water playground, water slides. Everything is free of charge.
If you're more drawn to the sea and beach, you can walk to Playita de Maimón beach. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by leaving the terminal and taking a left at the main road. Then turn left again at the arrow pointing to the beach.
The third stop on your cruise will be the island of Grand Turk, part of the Turks and Caicos archipelago.

Grand Turk, the second most populous island of the Turks and Caicos archipelago, is geographically located between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Politically, it falls within the overseas territory of Great Britain. In addition to its colonial and slave past, one of the main milestones in the island's history is 1962, when American astronaut John Glenn first set foot on the surface of the Earth after circumnavigating the globe in the Friendship 7 space shuttle. Today, however, life on the island has been fully restored.
The harbour itself offers a nice swimming beach, facilities for cruise ship passengers or a wide variety of excursions around the island. To visit the beach, take a left when you enter the port terminal. Just off the pier you'll see blue deck chairs, which belong to the cruise company and are therefore free. If you continue further along the beach, you will arrive at the part of the beach managed by the locals (orange sunbeds). These are then available for a fee. You can catch wifi at the harbour by the Starbucks café.
On your last day on the ship, make the most of it and try out the full range of activities the ship has to offer. Follow the daily schedule in the app to see what's happening on the ship.
If you haven't paid your gratuity in advance, have it cancelled from your account at customer service, with the understanding that you will pay in cash and ask for envelopes.
Next, confirm on the app if you would like to use a porter to take your luggage when you disembark or if you would like to take your luggage yourself. If you would like to use the porter service, please enter your preferred disembarkation time in the app, and the valet will then leave luggage tags in your room with your disembarkation group number and the belt number where your luggage will be located in the terminal lobby.
In the afternoon, you will need to pack and prepare your suitcases to leave the ship. If you have chosen the porter service, please leave your packed suitcases in the corridor outside your cabin after 9pm.
Leave a gratuity in the amount of your choice in your stateroom upon check-out the morning before you leave the ship.
The ship will arrive at the port at around 8am. Once your sim card data is activated, check in online for your return flight. Enjoy your breakfast in peace, taking your hand luggage with you. You will not be returning to your cabin. The disembarkation process will take some time, so take a seat near your assembly point for disembarkation. All information can be found in the app.
After disembarkation you will go through security and document control. You will then collect your checked baggage in the terminal lobby. The number or letter of the belt can be found in the app or on the baggage tag.
Flights back to Europe generally depart later in the afternoon, so you have a full day in Miami ahead of you. Book a taxi and go shopping at the Dolphin mall outlet mall.
Visit Dolphin mall, a renowned outlet mall with over 240 shops and restaurants near the airport. You'll find storage bins next to the toilets next to the Food Court, or store your suitcases with one of the Bounce service providers. Children can be seated in a trolley with a built-in tablet.
Plan to arrive by taxi at the airport at least 2.5 hours before departure, as there are often long queues at security. Have a safe journey!
