After a short walk, you will come across the nearby Lagoa do Canário, hidden in a dense forest. You will also visit Vista do Rei, a viewpoint overlooking the blue and green twin lakes. From there, the road winds down to the village of Sete Cidades, a peaceful town on the shores of the lakes with an iconic church.

The third day belongs to the town of Furnas, known for its hot springs and volcanic landscape. A unique place in Furnas is Terra Nostra Park with a thermal lake colored orange. In the middle of this botanical park you can relax among tropical greenery, ferns and quiet paths. Before visiting, stop at the nearby 3 Bicas Pub for a delicious brunch and recharge your energy for a day full of volcanic nature.
