Day 1
On arrival, simply follow the arrows to EXIT and Baggage Claim - the airport is small and clear, so you won't get lost. Pick up your car on the spot as instructed. Even though you have full insurance included, I recommend taking a picture of it just in case, including the condition of the tank. And then it's up to you - do you head straight off to adventure and explore Madeira, or do you stay in and recharge first.
Day 2
On the second day, follow the weather forecast - if it's clear, it's worth getting up before sunrise and heading to the easternmost tip of Madeira. You'll be rewarded with an unforgettable view of the ocean bathed in morning light. Don't forget your shoes! Today is just the start, but throughout the trip you'll be walking approximately 120 km with a total elevation gain of 5 km - make sure you're ready for a good dose of adventure.
Day 3
Start your second day in style with a morning walk on the beach and exploring the ancient ruins in the picturesque town of São Jorge. An ideal start to the day with the atmosphere of yesteryear and the sound of the ocean in the background. You will then move on to Queimadas, where a charming park and pleasant trail to the lake await. Stop at a local café for a coffee, recharge your batteries and then up for your first longer laze! Amazing scenery and true Madeiran nature await you.
