In the open area inside the fortress you will then see the Church of St. George, a neo-classical building from the period when Corfu was ruled by the British. I recommend going up to the lookout point at the top of the fortress, where you have a unique panoramic view of the sea and the whole of Corfu.

Liston is one of the most iconic places in the city. This elegant colonnaded promenade was built by the French and is reminiscent of the Rue de Rivoli in Paris.
