Upon arrival in the Faroe Islands, you'll be greeted by your first introduction to this breathtaking landscape. You will visit the iconic Múlafossur waterfall, which dramatically plunges into the ocean near the village of Gásadalur, stroll through picturesque Bøur with views of the islet of Tindhólmur, and stop at the statue of the mythical Nix in Sandavágur. Afterward, you'll move on to one of the most stunning natural attractions - the trail to Traelanípa, where you'll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the "hanging lake" Sørvágsvatn and steep cliffs falling into the ocean. 

The second day will take you across the Faroese landscape – from ancient history through dramatic cliffs to quiet valleys. You will start the day with a hike on the Trælanípan Trail. Then you will move to the village of Kvívík, which hides the remains of Viking dwellings. In the afternoon, visit the Norðradalur Valley – a quiet and picturesque place with a view of the islet of Koltur and the surrounding mountain peaks. You will continue in Kirkjubøur, the most important historical settlement of the Faroe Islands, where you will see the ruins of the cathedral, the oldest continuously inhabited house in Europe and a traditional rectory. At the end of the day, take a walk through the smallest capital in the world – Tórshavn. Its cobbled streets, historic houses with grass roofs and pleasant atmosphere will surely impress you. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants.

Day three takes you to the dramatic landscapes of the northern part of Streymoy Island, where mighty waterfalls, narrow fjords, and quiet valleys alternate. You'll start at Fossá – the highest waterfall in the Faroe Islands, whose two cascades fall from a height of over 140 meters. A short but sometimes rocky path to the upper part of the waterfall offers unforgettable views and a strong connection with untamed nature. Then, you will journey to the charming village of Saksun, nestled between mountains and a lagoon. 

You'll start your day in the picturesque village of Tjørnuvík, surrounded by mountains and overlooking the famous rock formations Risin and Kellingin. You'll stroll along the black beach and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of one of the oldest villages on the islands. Then, a more challenging hike awaits you to the summit of Mýlingur, which will reward you with some of the most breathtaking views in the Faroe Islands.

The fifth day takes you north to the island of Eysturoy, where breathtaking views alternate with the peaceful atmosphere of traditional villages. You will visit the village of Eiði and the viewpoint of the Risin and Kellingin rock formations, dramatically rising from the ocean. You will also enjoy a pleasant Gongutúrur – a hiking trail along the cliffs with beautiful views of the sea and surrounding landscape. You will end the day in the fairytale village of Gjógv, known for its natural sea gorge, colorful houses, and peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxation.

Day six takes you to the northeast of the Faroe Islands. You'll start the day with a climb up Mount Klakkur, where breathtaking panoramic views of Klaksvík, the surrounding fjords, and distant islands await. This short but steep hike is one of the most accessible peaks in the area and offers exceptional views of the Faroese landscape. Afterwards, you'll move on to Kunoy island, known for its peaceful atmosphere, mountain massif, and a narrow road winding along the coast. An ideal spot for an afternoon stop and contemplation in the quiet of the wild nature.

Day seven takes you to the iconic island of Kalsoy, often nicknamed the "mystery island" due to its tunnels, dramatic cliffs, and legends. The trip starts with a ferry from Klaksvík, after which you will visit the village of Mikladalur – home to the famous "Selkie" statue, commemorating the local legend of the seal woman. Then you will embark on a moderately challenging hike to Kallur lighthouse, which offers some of the most breathtaking views in the Faroe Islands. A day full of nature, silence, and powerful stories awaits you.

This plan for the eighth day takes you to the northernmost point of the Faroe Islands – to the village of Viðareiði, surrounded by mountains and the Atlantic. This picturesque settlement is an ideal starting point for hikes in the surrounding area, including a view of Enniberg cape – one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Depending on the weather and your fitness, you can choose between a leisurely stroll through the village or a more challenging climb towards the Villingadalsfjall peak, offering breathtaking panoramas. A day of raw nature, silence, and unforgettable views awaits you.

On the last day, you'll pack your things and head to the airport in advance to allow plenty of time to return the cars and go through check-in. If time permits, you'll still have the opportunity to stop for some souvenir shopping – a little reminder of the magic of the Faroe Islands to take home with you.
