Osum Canyon

The Blue Eye

The most popular tourist destination near Muzië is the Blue Eye spring, or Syri i Kaltër – not to be confused with the one in Theth, there are officially two Blue Eyes in Albania!


The blue water of the river is part of the Blue Eye nature reserve and is over 164 feet / 50 m deep. It's about an hour's walk to the Blue Eye car park and back, so allow at least two or more hours for the hike and time spent at the spring.

Komani Lake Ferry

We're looking forward to a breathtaking boat trip across Lake Komani, one of the most stunning spots in Albania. The sheer rock walls towering above the water feel more like Norwegian fjords, while the crystal-clear water brings Thailand to mind. The Blue Eye

The most popular tourist destination near Muzië is the Blue Eye spring, or Syri i Kaltër – not to be confused with the one in Theth, there are officially two Blue Eyes in Albania!

Komani Lake Ferry

We're looking forward to a breathtaking boat trip across Lake Komani, one of the most stunning spots in Albania. The sheer rock walls towering above the water feel more like Norwegian fjords, while the crystal-clear water brings Thailand to mind. The Blue Eye

The most popular tourist destination near Muzië is the Blue Eye spring, or Syri i Kaltër – not to be confused with the one in Theth, there are officially two Blue Eyes in Albania!

Komani Lake Ferry

We're looking forward to a breathtaking boat trip across Lake Komani, one of the most stunning spots in Albania. The sheer rock walls towering above the water feel more like Norwegian fjords, while the crystal-clear water brings Thailand to mind. The Blue Eye

Komani Lake Ferry

We're looking forward to a breathtaking boat trip across Lake Komani, one of the most stunning spots in Albania. The sheer rock walls towering above the water feel more like Norwegian fjords, while the crystal-clear water brings Thailand to mind. The fact that the surrounding area is almost uninhabited adds a real sense of romance to the whole journey. We'll get to soak in the wild beauty of Albanian nature, but this time from the comfort of a boat.


We'll arrive in the village of Koman in the morning, where the ferries across the lake depart from – you can buy tickets online (shorter trips are also available if you prefer). The cruise itself takes about 2.5 hours and will take us through narrow waterways between steep cliffs and green slopes. After arriving in Fierze, we'll take a short break and then head back the same way. This full-day trip offers not only unforgettable views but also the peace and quiet that comes from the landscape being largely untouched by human development.
