Transportation

On the islands of Skiathos and Skopelos, the best way to get around is by renting a scooter or using the local buses. In Skiathos, transportation is well-organized, and you will find regular bus services between the main beaches and the town. I recommend renting a scooter for a day to explore the entire island. For exploring Skopelos, it is better to rent a scooter for the entire duration (in Glossa) because the island is larger and offers more opportunities to explore more remote places. However, if you prefer not to, you can simply use the bus service or a taxi. You can use the ferry service between the islands.

This secluded cove, lined with pine trees, was also part of the filming of Mamma Mia! and still attracts visitors today with its romantic atmosphere. Access to the bay is by foot or boat, ensuring its tranquility and fewer visitors. The setting at Cape Amarandos was used for a scene where Sophie runs through the pines singing "Honey, Honey" while reading parts of her mother's diary. Kastani Beach is the location from the film where the scenes of "Does Your Mother Know" took place. It is surrounded by green pines that reach down to the white pebbles. The calm water is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Kastani Beach also offers a beach bar where you can have a drink and soak up the atmosphere of the movie. Although the beach was already famous, it gained even more attention after it was featured in the Mamma Mia scene where Sophie and Sky sing "Lay All Your Love on Me" while lounging on the white sand. Both the small pier and the beach bar in these two scenes were built solely for the film. So don't be surprised if you don't see either of them. In Skiathos, transportation is well-organized, and you will find regular bus services between the main beaches and the town. I recommend renting a scooter for a day to explore the entire island. For exploring Skopelos, it is better to rent a scooter for the entire duration (in Glossa) because the island is larger and offers more opportunities to explore more remote places. However, if you prefer not to, you can simply use the bus service or a taxi. You can use the ferry service between the islands.

Transportation

On the islands of Skiathos and Skopelos, the best way to get around is by renting a scooter or using the local buses. In Skiathos, transportation is well-organized, and you will find regular bus services between the main beaches and the town. I recommend renting a scooter for a day to explore the entire island. For exploring Skopelos, it is better to rent a scooter for the entire duration (in Glossa) because the island is larger and offers more opportunities to explore more remote places. However, if you prefer not to, you can simply use the bus service or a taxi. You can use the ferry service between the islands.

This beach is only accessible by boat, which makes it a real treasure of Skiathos. The white pebble beach, dramatic rock formations and crystal clear water will amaze you. The famous stone arch, known as Tripia Petra, is one of the most photographed spots on the island. Amarandos Cove

This secluded cove, lined with pine trees, was also part of the filming of Mamma Mia! and still attracts visitors today with its romantic atmosphere. Access to the bay is by foot or boat, ensuring its tranquility and fewer visitors. The setting at Cape Amarandos was used for a scene where Sophie runs through the pines singing "Honey, Honey" while reading parts of her mother's diary. The idyllic sailing scenes of Sophie and her three potential fathers for the song "Our Last Summer" were also filmed here. If you look closely, you'll see the two pine trees on the small peninsula featured in Mamma Mia.

Kastani Beach is the location from the film where the scenes of "Does Your Mother Know" took place. It is surrounded by green pines that reach down to the white pebbles. The calm water is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Kastani Beach also offers a beach bar where you can have a drink and soak up the atmosphere of the movie. Although the beach was already famous, it gained even more attention after it was featured in the Mamma Mia scene where Sophie and Sky sing "Lay All Your Love on Me" while lounging on the white sand. Both the small pier and the beach bar in these two scenes were built solely for the film. So don't be surprised if you don't see either of them. Instead, you'll find rows of deck chairs and a modern beach cafe, as well as water sports rentals.

In Skiathos, transportation is well-organized, and you will find regular bus services between the main beaches and the town. I recommend renting a scooter for a day to explore the entire island. For exploring Skopelos, it is better to rent a scooter for the entire duration (in Glossa) because the island is larger and offers more opportunities to explore more remote places. However, if you prefer not to, you can simply use the bus service or a taxi. You can use the ferry service between the islands.

Kastani Beach is the location from the film where the scenes of "Does Your Mother Know" took place. It is surrounded by green pines that reach down to the white pebbles.
