You can get to Surlej by car or walking from your accommodation, it's up to you. Just remember that you'll be hiking, so don't tire yourself out right at the start. On the other hand, walking and wandering around the lake with its beautiful views is also worth it.

After about 1.5 to 2 hours of steady hiking, you'll arrive at the breathtaking Piz Surlej viewpoint, perched at around 2,200 meters above sea level—a perfect reward for your efforts.

Once back in the village, you can go strait to your accomodation or continue along the southern shore of Lake Silvaplana, following the wide lakeside path that loops around the water. You’ll often see kitesurfers, paddleboarders, and windsurfers enjoying the wind on the lake.
