Welcome to one of Europe's most stunning ski areas. This journey will take you to the heart of the Dolomites - the Alta Badia area, where you can reach the iconic Sella Ronda ski circuit. A combination of perfectly groomed slopes, breathtaking views, Italian hospitality and delicious cuisine in the mountain huts await you.


Whether you're an experienced skier or you're coming to the Dolomites for the first time, this trip will offer you the perfect combination of adventure, comfort and unforgettable experiences. Get ready for a week you'll remember for a long time.


Sella Ronda is scheduled for Day 4 in the itinerary, but I recommend you schedule it flexibly depending on the weather. This route deserves clear skies and good visibility - the views you'll experience along the way are the real highlight of the whole trip. If it's supposed to be nice earlier, feel free to adjust your plan.

On arrival, pick up your car at the airport and set off for your accommodation in the Dolomites. There is no toll in Italy - tolls are only paid on the basis of actual kilometres driven, directly at the toll gates.

I recommend spending the first day exploring as many slopes as possible. This way, you'll quickly find your favorite routes, which you'll be happy to return to in the following days. We personally loved blue slope No. 34 – it's wide, clear, and suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers who want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing ride.


Tip: I recommend downloading the official area map from the Alta Badia website, which you will always have at hand on your mobile phone. I personally referred to this map very often – it's clear and really practical.

We used this entry station most often during our stay, but there are of course more options. You can therefore get on and off wherever suits you best – according to your plans, accommodation or current conditions.


Skipass I recommend buying online a few days in advance – not only will you save a few euros, but you will also avoid queues at the ticket offices. You can buy it on the official Dolomiti Superski website, where I recommend choosing the option for the entire Dolomiti Superski resort. This will give you access not only to Sella Ronda, but also to other resorts in the area, if you decide to adjust your itinerary according to the weather or mood.


When buying online, choose to pick up at a selected self-service box. These boxes are located in all the main resorts and allow for quick and contactless pick-up without having to queue – just hold up the QR code and you're done.

For those who like a challenge, I recommend trying the famous Gran Risa slope, where the World Cup is held. It is best done in the morning when the track is still well groomed. You will find it number 17 on the map and the run takes you directly to the village of La Villa.

At the end of each day, we'd drive down the 9a slope from the Pralongià hut and stop at this mountain hut - for bombardino, aperol or whatever we felt like. Then it was back to the car on 9a and 11.

You can find a map of the Sella Ronda circuit here. Personally, I prefer the orange version, which runs clockwise - it offers smoother crossings and, in my opinion, better descents.


I recommend starting as early in the morning as possible. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the route without stress - perhaps stopping at a ski slope that catches your eye, or having a coffee with a view in one of the mountain huts along the way.


The Sella Ronda encircles the entire massif, so you get constantly changing views - each section offers a different view of the Dolomites, making the whole circuit a visual and skiing experience.


⏱️ The entire circuit can be completed by a more experienced skier in around 4 hours of pure ski time, but if you want to enjoy it to the full, be sure to set aside a full day.

Today you will start at cable car 19, which will take you to the top. From here you will orient yourself according to the attached map, where you will follow the orange route.


If you are one of those who want to enjoy a bit of adrenaline, I recommend that you continue on to cable car 20 and take the black slope 1 right after exiting on cable car 19. Right at the top you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramas and the track itself is worth the effort - we returned here several times during our stay.


Another black run that's definitely worth mentioning is Saslong (#1) in the Val Gardena area - a famous run that regularly hosts the Alpine Skiing World Cup. If speed and sporting challenge are your thing, don't miss it.

Welcome to one of Europe's most stunning ski areas. This journey will take you to the heart of the Dolomites - the Alta Badia area, where you can reach the iconic Sella Ronda ski circuit. A combination of perfectly groomed slopes, breathtaking views, Italian hospitality and delicious cuisine in the mountain huts await you.


Whether you're an experienced skier or you're coming to the Dolomites for the first time, this trip will offer you the perfect combination of adventure, comfort and unforgettable experiences. Get ready for a week you'll remember for a long time.


Sella Ronda is scheduled for Day 4 in the itinerary, but I recommend you schedule it flexibly depending on the weather. This route deserves clear skies and good visibility - the views you'll experience along the way are the real highlight of the whole trip. If it's supposed to be nice earlier, feel free to adjust your plan.

On arrival, pick up your car at the airport and set off for your accommodation in the Dolomites. There is no toll in Italy - tolls are only paid on the basis of actual kilometres driven, directly at the toll gates.

I recommend spending the first day exploring as many slopes as possible. This way, you'll quickly find your favorite routes, which you'll be happy to return to in the following days. We personally loved blue slope No. 34 – it's wide, clear, and suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers who want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing ride.


Tip: I recommend downloading the official area map from the Alta Badia website, which you will always have at hand on your mobile phone. I personally referred to this map very often – it's clear and really practical.

We used this entry station most often during our stay, but there are of course more options. You can therefore get on and off wherever suits you best – according to your plans, accommodation or current conditions.


Skipass I recommend buying online a few days in advance – not only will you save a few euros, but you will also avoid queues at the ticket offices. You can buy it on the official Dolomiti Superski website, where I recommend choosing the option for the entire Dolomiti Superski resort. This will give you access not only to Sella Ronda, but also to other resorts in the area, if you decide to adjust your itinerary according to the weather or mood.


When buying online, choose to pick up at a selected self-service box. These boxes are located in all the main resorts and allow for quick and contactless pick-up without having to queue – just hold up the QR code and you're done.

For those who like a challenge, I recommend trying the famous Gran Risa slope, where the World Cup is held. It is best done in the morning when the track is still well groomed. You will find it number 17 on the map and the run takes you directly to the village of La Villa.

At the end of each day, we'd drive down the 9a slope from the Pralongià hut and stop at this mountain hut - for bombardino, aperol or whatever we felt like. Then it was back to the car on 9a and 11.

You can find a map of the Sella Ronda circuit here. Personally, I prefer the orange version, which runs clockwise - it offers smoother crossings and, in my opinion, better descents.


I recommend starting as early in the morning as possible. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the route without stress - perhaps stopping at a ski slope that catches your eye, or having a coffee with a view in one of the mountain huts along the way.


The Sella Ronda encircles the entire massif, so you get constantly changing views - each section offers a different view of the Dolomites, making the whole circuit a visual and skiing experience.


⏱️ The entire circuit can be completed by a more experienced skier in around 4 hours of pure ski time, but if you want to enjoy it to the full, be sure to set aside a full day.

Today you will start at cable car 19, which will take you to the top. From here you will orient yourself according to the attached map, where you will follow the orange route.


If you are one of those who want to enjoy a bit of adrenaline, I recommend that you continue on to cable car 20 and take the black slope 1 right after exiting on cable car 19. Right at the top you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramas and the track itself is worth the effort - we returned here several times during our stay.


Another black run that's definitely worth mentioning is Saslong (#1) in the Val Gardena area - a famous run that regularly hosts the Alpine Skiing World Cup. If speed and sporting challenge are your thing, don't miss it.
