Pick up your car at the airport and drive to your hotel. After a long and tiring flight, you definitely need to relax and recharge your batteries for the days to come. If time permits, take advantage of the hotel's heated swimming pool and start enjoying your long-awaited holiday.
We decided to spend this day outside of LA, where time passes slower and the next 2 days serve us to tune in to the Californian lifestyle without the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Park in the parking lot right next to the pier, where you'll be sure to take a stroll and enjoy the views of the endless ocean and Newport Beach. Our very first experience will be in the style of the California lifestyle - on a bicycle and with the wind in our hair. Rent bikes at the rental shop, which offers a free third hour when you rent for 2 hours. The bikes have cupcakes, so be sure to pack a towel and swimsuit. Keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the architecture of this seaside town, every house has something interesting. In case you need to hide from the sun and refresh yourself, try the delicious margherita and nachos right on the overlooking the tail at the Mexican restaurant. Alternatively, how about a picnic on the beach. Pick up a pizza at 22nd Streed Pizza and enjoy it right on the beach.
Oceanside - a surf town with the soul of California
Oceanside is the quintessential Southern California seaside town, combining a casual surfer vibe with vibrant community life. The local beaches are a magnet for surfers from all over the world, while the harbor, long pier and historic downtown offer plenty to do for those who prefer to enjoy the sun from the shore.
On arrival from Newport Beach, check in and head out for a pleasant stroll along the coast. Be sure to stop by the iconic Top Gun House, the small white and blue house made famous in the movie Top Gun, where Charlie (Kelly McGillis) used to live. Today, it serves as a stylish café and a great photo spot.
Continue toward Oceanside Pier, the longest wooden pier on the West Coast. The sunset from there is simply unforgettable. In the early evening, locals converge on the boardwalk with their pets - often carrying them in the front seats of cars with the windows open and music playing in the background. The atmosphere is like something out of a movie!
If you still have the energy, be sure to stop by the California Surf Museum, which documents the history of surfing and local legends.

Carlsbad - peace, beach and California style
Just a few minutes' drive from Oceanside is Carlsbad, a chicer coastal town known for its long sandy beaches, fields of flowers (in spring) and, not least, as home to several premium surf brands. A great place for a long morning stroll along the ocean.
If you skipped breakfast, be sure to treat yourself to lunch at Harbor Fish Cafe, a seafood restaurant that serves authentic fish tacos and a view right out to the ocean.

Your day will start in the heart of the city - Grand Central Market, which can be easily reached by car. Park right above the market, and as soon as you enter, you'll be surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of this iconic place. Grab a morning coffee and something sweet to get you started - the choice is wide, from local bakeries to trendy coffee bars. This historic market is a vibrant mix of smells, tastes and locals who come here to enjoy their lunch break or just to recharge their batteries. If you're not hungry yet, don't despair - you'll come across plenty of food trucks and street food stands during our journey through the city, where you can grab a bite to eat something quick, tasty, and quintessentially Californian.
From Grand Central Market, it's a few minutes' walk to your next short but exceptional stop - the Bradbury Building. It's located just across the street (at the corner of Broadway and 3rd Street).
The Bradbury Building is one of the oldest and most iconic buildings in Los Angeles. It looks inconspicuous on the outside, but once you enter, you'll immediately be amazed by its interior. The building is known for its unique Victorian atrium, which is punctuated by a glass ceiling, and especially for its rich iron details - ornate elevators, railings and staircases. The whole space looks airy, elegant and timeless.
It's extraordinary 1893 design continues to inspire architects and filmmakers to this day - which is why it was chosen as a striking backdrop for Blade Runner, where it emphasised the film's dark, futuristic atmosphere.
It's a place where history, architecture and the world of film come together - all in one quick but unforgettable stop.
After a short stop at the Bradbury Building, you'll move just a few steps further to the Angels Flight Railway - one of the world's smallest but most iconic railways.
Built in 1901, this historic cable car once served LA residents to get from downtown to the top of Bunker Hill. Today, it's a nostalgic attraction with beautiful views and a retro vibe.
Taking only a few dozen seconds to ride, it's definitely worth it - if only for the experience and the iconic orange and black cab that has appeared in movies like La La Land.
It's a short and fun trip into LA's past.
From the Angels Flight Railway, enjoy a short stroll down Grand Avenue, where you'll be surrounded by skyscrapers and the modern skyline of Downtown LA. This contrast between the historic downtown and the vibrant present makes this part of the city truly special.
A few minutes' walk will bring you to The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), a unique museum founded in 1979 by the artists themselves and the only one in LA dedicated exclusively to contemporary art.
MOCA has extensive collections of American and European art from the 1940s to the present. Among the works on display are works by major artists such as Barbara Kruger, Mark Rothko and Donald Judd. In addition to the permanent collections, the museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions that reflect current trends and themes in art.
The museum is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursdays until 8:00 pm, and weekends from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The tour lasts approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on your interest in each exhibit.
From MOCA, it's just a few steps to the next exceptional stop - The Broad Museum, which impresses at first glance with its modern architecture reminiscent of a honeycomb. This iconic building is home to one of the most important collections of contemporary art in the U.S., and is completely free and open to the public (though advance online reservations are recommended - link ).
Inside, you can admire works by world-renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons and Yayoi Kusama, whose Infinity Mirrored Room is one of the most sought-after experiences.

After a visit to The Broad, we move on to another architectural gem - Walt Disney Concert Hall, just a few minutes' walk away.
This iconic concert hall was designed by architect Frank Gehry and opened in 2003. It is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is one of the best acoustically designed halls in the world.
The building's exterior is covered with more than 6,000 stainless steel panels that shimmer like silver sails, creating an impression of movement and dynamism. The interior, in turn, is inlaid with iridescent wood, designed to offer an intimate yet dramatic musical experience.
Stop here for a brief tour of the exterior and public spaces, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere before exploring the city further.
Between City Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall is Gloria Molina Grand Park, here you can relax for a while and experience the contrast between the historic and modern architecture of the city.
This Art Deco skyscraper was completed in 1928 and was the tallest building in the city until 1964. Designed by architects John Parkinson, Albert C. Martin and John C. Austin, it combines classical and modern elements, making it unique within American architecture. Its 32-story tower was inspired by the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and today serves as the city's municipal headquarters and the offices of the mayor and city council. The view of City Hall is best enjoyed from a distance from Gloria Molina Grand Park.
At the end of our day, you will move to the historic heart of Los Angeles - El Pueblo de Los Angeles, the place where the history of this city began.
A little bit of history
El Pueblo was founded in 1781 when 44 settlers from northern Mexico (then the New Spanish Empire) came here to establish the settlement of "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles". This colonial settlement gradually grew into the modern Los Angeles you know today. As a result, the neighborhood has a unique atmosphere that combines history, culture and everyday life.
What you'll experience here
El Pueblo is filled with colorful streets, traditional buildings and authentic Mexican restaurants where you can sample everything from fresh tacos to sweet churros. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with Latin rhythms playing in the background, street performers showing their passion and the smell of freshly prepared food everywhere.
I definitely recommend trying an honest-to-goodness margarita at one of the local establishments - it's a small but delicious end to a day of exploration.

Walk down Olvera Street, El Puebla's most famous street - you'll find handmade souvenirs, leather goods, ceramics and traditional Mexican decorations. The streets are full of life, colour and scents that will transport you to another world for a while.
El Pueblo de Los Angeles isn't just a historic site - it's living proof of this city's roots, where the past meets the present in the most authentic way. A great place to end our active day.

Today you combine knowledge and relaxation on the beach. Visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles to see a selection of the most interesting things from the natural world and history of Los Angeles in the beautiful surroundings of Exposition Park.
After the busy schedule of the past few days, you deserve to relax on the beach, so in the afternoon you'll make your way to Hermosa Beach - in my opinion, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There is a long sandy beach, a nice atmosphere, small pubs and restaurants with live music, where you can also have dinner right by the ocean.
A tour of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles takes about 2 to 3 hours, but if you like to dive into the details, feel free to set aside more time. The museum is expansive, interactive and fascinating for all ages.
Dinosaur Skeletons and Natural History
One of the main draws is the Dinosaur Hall, where you'll see complete life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex and other dinosaurs. The displays are very realistic and, thanks to modern technology, you can imagine how these giant creatures once lived.🧭 The past of the original inhabitants
The museum also offers a sensitive look at the history of indigenous settlers and residents of the Los Angeles area who faced colonization and oppression. This part of the exhibit reminds us of sad moments in history that are important to our understanding, empathy, and tolerance of other cultures and stories.

On the second floor you will find a beautiful and historically important display of dioramas.
A diorama is a three-dimensional realistic scene depicting animals in their natural habitat. Some of these displays are over 100 years old, making them not only works of art, but also valuable historical documents that allow us to understand what the original habitat of now endangered or extinct species looked like.Dioramas depict North American fauna in natural settings-from forests to deserts to tundra-and provide a rare glimpse of ecosystems that have changed radically over time.

The beach is perfect for swimming, volleyball, or just sitting quietly overlooking the ocean. Along the shoreline runs the famous Strand, a pedestrian and bike path that connects Hermosa to neighboring beaches like Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.

The centre of Hermosa is alive with a laid-back surf vibe, and you'll find plenty of small cafes, pubs, restaurants and bars, often with live music. Here you can enjoy a tasty dinner, a drink at sunset and listen to an acoustic guitar or a local band.Dedicate today to iconic Hollywood, the place where film history is made and reality mixes with illusion. For some it's kitsch, for others it's a dream come true - but the atmosphere of this place will not leave you cold.
Hollywood has a special, almost magical-chaotic atmosphere - you will see street performers, film enthusiasts, tourists and locals. It's not just about the glitz - it's about the contrasts that make this place so unique.
We'll park right in the Dolby Theatre, the famous building where the Oscars are held every year. You can look right down on the steps where the biggest movie stars walk, and if you're lucky, there might be a public event or exhibition going on.
Right inside the Dolby Theatre, you'll also find a state-of-the-art cinema, which often shows the latest films and sometimes special premieres. And be sure to stop by the gift shop, where you can buy your own version of the Oscar gold statuette - it's a classic, but a delight.
Next door is the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre, famous for its extravagant architecture and even more famous courtyard with the hand and footprints of film legends. Don't miss out on searching for the name of your favourite actor or actress - you might just discover the footprints of Harry Potter or Marilyn Monroe.
You'll then walk the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you'll find more than 2,700 stars with famous names from the worlds of film, television, music and theatre. Be sure to take a look around - you're sure to have seen many of the buildings and corners in movies or TV shows.
If you have time and energy left over, visit the Hollywood Museum in the former Max Factor building, where you'll find costumes, props and the history of Hollywood legends. For pop culture fans, it's a small but interesting experience.
If you want to treat yourself to a real cultural experience, I recommend planning a visit to a performance at one of the beautiful theatres such as the Pantages Theatre. Tickets can often be bought at a bargain price during the week. I personally saw the theatrical version of Harry Potter - and it was a magical and unforgettable evening!

Hollyhock House is one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Los Angeles and the very first project that the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed in California.
What makes it special
The house was built between 1919 and 1921 for Aline Barnsdall, a wealthy heiress and patron of the arts who wanted to create an arts center for progressive artists and theatergoers.
The name of the house is inspired by her favourite flower - the hollyhock - which recurs as a motif throughout the design.Wright created a style here that he himself described as "prairie style mixed with Mayan architecture."
You'll see sophisticated architecture with sunken pools, rooftop terraces and bold reliefs, also unique details like built-in furniture, glass windows with hollyhock patterns and dramatic wall lines.
The home is located in a beautiful park with a view - Barnsdall Art Park, where you can have a quiet picnic or just sit amongst the locals. The tour will take approximately 30 - 60 minutes.
Griffith Observatory is an iconic spot in Los Angeles that offers not only a fascinating view of the stars, but also one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire city - from downtown LA to the ocean. Admission to the observatory is free, and you won't want to miss:
- an exhibit about space,
- the Foucault Pendulum,
- the historic Zeiss telescope,
- and the statue of astronomer James Griffith outside the entrance.
Movie buffs will recognize the exterior from Lala Land, Rebel Without a Cause or other classics.
You'll get the best views from the patio above the main entrance or from the pathways above the observatory - the perfect spot for a sunset or an iconic photo with the Hollywood Sign in the background.
After visiting the Observatory, we'll head towards the Hollywood Sign - the iconic sign that is one of the symbols of Los Angeles.
There are several trails leading from the Observatory, but we recommend the Charlie Turner Trailhead or Mount Hollywood Trail - manageable for the less experienced.
Stop: The Last House on Mulholland
Stop along the way at a viewpoint referred to as The Last House on Mulholland - it's a beautiful vantage point overlooking the city and the Hollywood Hills.
Picnic under the sign
After the hike, we can picnic right under the Hollywood Sign - the place is quiet, often away from the main crowds, and the views are truly cinematic. Don't forget to bring something good to nibble on, or a coffee to go - the experience will be worth it.
Today you'll enjoy the laid-back vibe of the California coast. You'll stroll along the iconic Santa Monica Pier, enjoy the views and fun by the ocean, and then walk along the beach to bohemian Venice Beach. Before immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach, enjoy a short, leisurely stroll around the Venice Canals - a little hidden treasure inspired by Venice, which was built in the early 20th century as part of the ambitious Venice of America project.
A circuit through the canals takes about 20-30 minutes, perfect for a leisurely morning or a relaxing start to the day. After the walk, I recommend continuing on to Venice Beach - either on foot (about 10 minutes) or return to your car and park closer to Santa Monica.
After a stroll through the quiet streets around the Venice Canals, you'll be transported to iconic Santa Monica. We recommend parking your car directly at the Santa Monica Pier or in one of the adjacent garages. Santa Monica is a place that combines a laid-back beach vibe with history and fun. On the pier, you'll find Pacific Park with rides and ocean views, street performers, and an always lively, sunny California vibe.
From here, you'll walk along the Ocean Front Walk back towards Venice Beach. A leisurely stroll right along the ocean, lined with palm trees, street art, surfers and the smell of salt air, awaits you. The walk takes about 45 minutes, but you're sure to enjoy it - passing the legendary Muscle Beach, a skate park, street musicians and local shops along the way.
Our stop will also include the "Lana Del Rey" mural - a popular art spot that has become the unofficial symbol of Venice.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest right on the beach. You can just lie back in the sand, have a glass of wine or a drink at one of the beachside establishments and enjoy the sunset over the Pacific. If we feel like it, we can even have dinner overlooking the ocean - because it's these simple moments that are the true magic of California.
Today is a day of movie magic, action and fun at Universal Studios Hollywood - the place where dreams become reality. Iconic attractions like Harry Potter World, The Mummy, and the unforgettable Studio Tour await you as we take a peek behind the scenes of Hollywood.
Although this is one of the more costly stops on the trip, the experience is definitely worth it. You'll spend a full day here, discovering a wealth of details that any film fan will appreciate - from the stage sets to the live special effects.
We recommend planning your visit to Universal Studios Hollywood carefully - tickets are significantly more expensive on weekends than during the week. The best prices are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, so if you can, adjust your schedule to make this trip work out on those days. Be sure to buy your tickets online in advance to save not only money but also time.
Get to the grounds as early in the morning as possible - queues start to build up shortly after the park opens, especially at the most popular attractions such as Harry Potter or The Mummy, where waits can be over an hour long. We therefore recommend using the morning for those attractions where the wait is still short and then adjusting to the current times on the boards later on.
Be sure to bring a thermos or water bottle - water can be refilled easily throughout the area. We recommend packing a light snack as well, as food in the park is more expensive and there is often a wait.
Universal is an experience for the day, but be prepared to need patience - some attractions require long waits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you're in the mood for something themed, you can also have a beer at the wizarding pub The Three Broomsticks, but don't forget your ID - they check everyone's. Also be aware that alcoholic beverages are quite expensive here (about $16 for a beer).

Your day in Malibu will begin in the spirit of nature and gentle adventure - you'll hike the Rising Sun Trail in beautiful Solstice Canyon Park - link. This circular trail not only offers beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, but also an interesting glimpse into the area's history. The highlight of the tour is the brick ruins of the Roberts Ranch House, a modernist home designed by architect Paul Williams. The house was one of the first to combine architecture with nature, but unfortunately it burned down in a fire. Today, its remains are a reminder of both the beauty and fragility of life in the California mountains. On the way back, you'll descend gently along the creek, through a eucalyptus grove and over rocky trails - the entire hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
After the hike, you'll make your way to Malibu Lagoon State Beach for a short walk in the local preserve - the bird watching, bridges over the lagoon, and quiet morning atmosphere are perfect for enjoying this natural oasis.
For lunch, treat yourself to something tasty at Farm Cafe on Malibu Pier, right on the ocean. Fresh ingredients, a rustic atmosphere and views of the endless Pacific make lunch an exceptional experience.
The afternoon will be relaxing - relax on the beach near the pier. You can swim, read, or just lie in the sand and let the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea carry you away. This day will be a combination of gentle hiking, natural exploration, history, and a well-deserved rest in one of the most beautiful parts of Southern California.

You will then move on to Redondo Beach. This day is all about saying a slow goodbye to the ocean as you enjoy the pleasant surroundings, fresh air and sunshine that will accompany you until the very last moment.
Dedicate the last day of your adventure to rest and recharge your batteries. You'll start the morning with a gentle stroll in Founders Park, located right on the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes. This easy trail runs along the ocean with panoramic views that are among the most beautiful in all of Southern California.
Founders Park is a landscaped public park with trails, benches and grassy areas suitable for a morning picnic or just quiet contemplation with views of dolphins or the surf. The trail is short (about 1 km), ideal for families or people who just want to enjoy a quiet end to their trip.
After the walk, you'll drive through Rancho Palos Verdes, a charming coastal area with a tranquil atmosphere and spectacular views that feels like a world apart from the hustle and bustle of LA. Here you can picnic on the cliffs or make a short stop for more ocean photos.
Spend the afternoon at Redondo Beach, where you'll enjoy relaxing by the ocean and end the day with dinner at the popular Tony's on the Pier. This iconic restaurant right on the pier offers a full seafood menu - from fresh salads to entrees to desserts - with ocean views and beautiful sunsets.

On arrival from Newport Beach, check in and head out for a pleasant stroll along the coast. Be sure to stop by the iconic Top Gun House, the small white and blue house made famous in the movie Top Gun, where Charlie (Kelly McGillis) used to live. Today, it serves as a stylish café and a great photo spot.
Continue toward Oceanside Pier, the longest wooden pier on the West Coast. The sunset from there is simply unforgettable. In the early evening, locals converge on the boardwalk with their pets - often carrying them in the front seats of cars with the windows open and music playing in the background. Taking only a few dozen seconds to ride, it's definitely worth it - if only for the experience and the iconic orange and black cab that has appeared in movies like La La Land.

Its 32-story tower was inspired by the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and today serves as the city's municipal headquarters and the offices of the mayor and city council. The view of City Hall is best enjoyed from a distance from Gloria Molina Grand Park.

A little bit of history
El Pueblo was founded in 1781 when 44 settlers from northern Mexico (then the New Spanish Empire) came here to establish the settlement of "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles". This colonial settlement gradually grew into the modern Los Angeles you know today. As a result, the neighborhood has a unique atmosphere that combines history, culture and everyday life.
What you'll experience here
El Pueblo is filled with colorful streets, traditional buildings and authentic Mexican restaurants where you can sample everything from fresh tacos to sweet churros. Today you combine knowledge and relaxation on the beach. Visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles to see a selection of the most interesting things from the natural world and history of Los Angeles in the beautiful surroundings of Exposition Park.
After the busy schedule of the past few days, you deserve to relax on the beach, so in the afternoon you'll make your way to Hermosa Beach - in my opinion, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There is a long sandy beach, a nice atmosphere, small pubs and restaurants with live music, where you can also have dinner right by the ocean.
A tour of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles takes about 2 to 3 hours, but if you like to dive into the details, feel free to set aside more time. The museum is expansive, interactive and fascinating for all ages.
Dinosaur Skeletons and Natural History
One of the main draws is the Dinosaur Hall, where you'll see complete life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex and other dinosaurs. The displays are very realistic and, thanks to modern technology, you can imagine how these giant creatures once lived.🧭 The past of the original inhabitants
The museum also offers a sensitive look at the history of indigenous settlers and residents of the Los Angeles area who faced colonization and oppression. We'll park right in the Dolby Theatre, the famous building where the Oscars are held every year. You can look right down on the steps where the biggest movie stars walk, and if you're lucky, there might be a public event or exhibition going on.
Right inside the Dolby Theatre, you'll also find a state-of-the-art cinema, which often shows the latest films and sometimes special premieres. And be sure to stop by the gift shop, where you can buy your own version of the Oscar gold statuette - it's a classic, but a delight.
Next door is the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre, famous for its extravagant architecture and even more famous courtyard with the hand and footprints of film legends. Don't miss out on searching for the name of your favourite actor or actress - you might just discover the footprints of Harry Potter or Marilyn Monroe.
You'll then walk the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you'll find more than 2,700 stars with famous names from the worlds of film, television, music and theatre. Be sure to take a look around - you're sure to have seen many of the buildings and corners in movies or TV shows.
If you have time and energy left over, visit the Hollywood Museum in the former Max Factor building, where you'll find costumes, props and the history of Hollywood legends. For pop culture fans, it's a small but interesting experience.
If you want to treat yourself to a real cultural experience, I recommend planning a visit to a performance at one of the beautiful theatres such as the Pantages Theatre. Tickets can often be bought at a bargain price during the week. I personally saw the theatrical version of Harry Potter - and it was a magical and unforgettable evening!

Hollyhock House is one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Los Angeles and the very first project that the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed in California.
What makes it special
The house was built between 1919 and 1921 for Aline Barnsdall, a wealthy heiress and patron of the arts who wanted to create an arts center for progressive artists and theatergoers.
The name of the house is inspired by her favourite flower - the hollyhock - which recurs as a motif throughout the design.Wright created a style here that he himself described as "prairie style mixed with Mayan architecture."
You'll see sophisticated architecture with sunken pools, rooftop terraces and bold reliefs, also unique details like built-in furniture, glass windows with hollyhock patterns and dramatic wall lines.
The home is located in a beautiful park with a view - Barnsdall Art Park, where you can have a quiet picnic or just sit amongst the locals. The tour will take approximately 30 - 60 minutes.
Griffith Observatory is an iconic spot in Los Angeles that offers not only a fascinating view of the stars, but also one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire city - from downtown LA to the ocean. Admission to the observatory is free, and you won't want to miss:

There are several trails leading from the Observatory, but we recommend the Charlie Turner Trailhead or Mount Hollywood Trail - manageable for the less experienced.

Stop along the way at a viewpoint referred to as The Last House on Mulholland - it's a beautiful vantage point overlooking the city and the Hollywood Hills.

Before immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach, enjoy a short, leisurely stroll around the Venice Canals - a little hidden treasure inspired by Venice, which was built in the early 20th century as part of the ambitious Venice of America project.
A circuit through the canals takes about 20-30 minutes, perfect for a leisurely morning or a relaxing start to the day. After the walk, I recommend continuing on to Venice Beach - either on foot (about 10 minutes) or return to your car and park closer to Santa Monica.
After a stroll through the quiet streets around the Venice Canals, you'll be transported to iconic Santa Monica. We recommend parking your car directly at the Santa Monica Pier or in one of the adjacent garages. Santa Monica is a place that combines a laid-back beach vibe with history and fun. On the pier, you'll find Pacific Park with rides and ocean views, street performers, and an always lively, sunny California vibe.
From here, you'll walk along the Ocean Front Walk back towards Venice Beach. A leisurely stroll right along the ocean, lined with palm trees, street art, surfers and the smell of salt air, awaits you. The walk takes about 45 minutes, but you're sure to enjoy it - passing the legendary Muscle Beach, a skate park, street musicians and local shops along the way.
Our stop will also include the "Lana Del Rey" mural - a popular art spot that has become the unofficial symbol of Venice.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest right on the beach. You can just lie back in the sand, have a glass of wine or a drink at one of the beachside establishments and enjoy the sunset over the Pacific. If we feel like it, we can even have dinner overlooking the ocean - because it's these simple moments that are the true magic of California.
Today is a day of movie magic, action and fun at Universal Studios Hollywood - the place where dreams become reality. Iconic attractions like Harry Potter World, The Mummy, and the unforgettable Studio Tour await you as we take a peek behind the scenes of Hollywood.
Although this is one of the more costly stops on the trip, the experience is definitely worth it. You'll spend a full day here, discovering a wealth of details that any film fan will appreciate - from the stage sets to the live special effects.
We recommend planning your visit to Universal Studios Hollywood carefully - tickets are significantly more expensive on weekends than during the week. The best prices are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, so if you can, adjust your schedule to make this trip work out on those days. Be sure to buy your tickets online in advance to save not only money but also time.
Get to the grounds as early in the morning as possible - queues start to build up shortly after the park opens, especially at the most popular attractions such as Harry Potter or The Mummy, where waits can be over an hour long. We therefore recommend using the morning for those attractions where the wait is still short and then adjusting to the current times on the boards later on.
Be sure to bring a thermos or water bottle - water can be refilled easily throughout the area. We recommend packing a light snack as well, as food in the park is more expensive and there is often a wait.
Universal is an experience for the day, but be prepared to need patience - some attractions require long waits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you're in the mood for something themed, you can also have a beer at the wizarding pub The Three Broomsticks, but don't forget your ID - they check everyone's. Also be aware that alcoholic beverages are quite expensive here (about $16 for a beer).

This circular trail not only offers beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, but also an interesting glimpse into the area's history. The highlight of the tour is the brick ruins of the Roberts Ranch House, a modernist home designed by architect Paul Williams. The house was one of the first to combine architecture with nature, but unfortunately it burned down in a fire. Today, its remains are a reminder of both the beauty and fragility of life in the California mountains. On the way back, you'll descend gently along the creek, through a eucalyptus grove and over rocky trails - the entire hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
After the hike, you'll make your way to Malibu Lagoon State Beach for a short walk in the local preserve - the bird watching, bridges over the lagoon, and quiet morning atmosphere are perfect for enjoying this natural oasis.
For lunch, treat yourself to something tasty at Farm Cafe on Malibu Pier, right on the ocean. Fresh ingredients, a rustic atmosphere and views of the endless Pacific make lunch an exceptional experience.

After the walk, you'll drive through Rancho Palos Verdes, a charming coastal area with a tranquil atmosphere and spectacular views that feels like a world apart from the hustle and bustle of LA. Here you can picnic on the cliffs or make a short stop for more ocean photos.

El Pueblo was founded in 1781 when 44 settlers from northern Mexico (then the New Spanish Empire) came here to establish the settlement of "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles". This colonial settlement gradually grew into the modern Los Angeles you know today. As a result, the neighborhood has a unique atmosphere that combines history, culture and everyday life.

Today you combine knowledge and relaxation on the beach. Visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles to see a selection of the most interesting things from the natural world and history of Los Angeles in the beautiful surroundings of Exposition Park.
After the busy schedule of the past few days, you deserve to relax on the beach, so in the afternoon you'll make your way to Hermosa Beach - in my opinion, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There is a long sandy beach, a nice atmosphere, small pubs and restaurants with live music, where you can also have dinner right by the ocean.
A tour of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles takes about 2 to 3 hours, but if you like to dive into the details, feel free to set aside more time. The museum is expansive, interactive and fascinating for all ages.
Dinosaur Skeletons and Natural History
One of the main draws is the Dinosaur Hall, where you'll see complete life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex and other dinosaurs. The displays are very realistic and, thanks to modern technology, you can imagine how these giant creatures once lived.🧭 The past of the original inhabitants

We'll park right in the Dolby Theatre, the famous building where the Oscars are held every year. You can look right down on the steps where the biggest movie stars walk, and if you're lucky, there might be a public event or exhibition going on.
Right inside the Dolby Theatre, you'll also find a state-of-the-art cinema, which often shows the latest films and sometimes special premieres. And be sure to stop by the gift shop, where you can buy your own version of the Oscar gold statuette - it's a classic, but a delight.
Next door is the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre, famous for its extravagant architecture and even more famous courtyard with the hand and footprints of film legends. Don't miss out on searching for the name of your favourite actor or actress - you might just discover the footprints of Harry Potter or Marilyn Monroe.
You'll then walk the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you'll find more than 2,700 stars with famous names from the worlds of film, television, music and theatre. Be sure to take a look around - you're sure to have seen many of the buildings and corners in movies or TV shows.
If you have time and energy left over, visit the Hollywood Museum in the former Max Factor building, where you'll find costumes, props and the history of Hollywood legends. For pop culture fans, it's a small but interesting experience.
If you want to treat yourself to a real cultural experience, I recommend planning a visit to a performance at one of the beautiful theatres such as the Pantages Theatre. Tickets can often be bought at a bargain price during the week. I personally saw the theatrical version of Harry Potter - and it was a magical and unforgettable evening!

Hollyhock House is one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Los Angeles and the very first project that the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed in California.
What makes it special
The house was built between 1919 and 1921 for Aline Barnsdall, a wealthy heiress and patron of the arts who wanted to create an arts center for progressive artists and theatergoers.
The name of the house is inspired by her favourite flower - the hollyhock - which recurs as a motif throughout the design.Wright created a style here that he himself described as "prairie style mixed with Mayan architecture."
You'll see sophisticated architecture with sunken pools, rooftop terraces and bold reliefs, also unique details like built-in furniture, glass windows with hollyhock patterns and dramatic wall lines.
The home is located in a beautiful park with a view - Barnsdall Art Park, where you can have a quiet picnic or just sit amongst the locals. The tour will take approximately 30 - 60 minutes.
Griffith Observatory is an iconic spot in Los Angeles that offers not only a fascinating view of the stars, but also one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire city - from downtown LA to the ocean. Admission to the observatory is free, and you won't want to miss:

Before immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach, enjoy a short, leisurely stroll around the Venice Canals - a little hidden treasure inspired by Venice, which was built in the early 20th century as part of the ambitious Venice of America project.
A circuit through the canals takes about 20-30 minutes, perfect for a leisurely morning or a relaxing start to the day. After the walk, I recommend continuing on to Venice Beach - either on foot (about 10 minutes) or return to your car and park closer to Santa Monica.
After a stroll through the quiet streets around the Venice Canals, you'll be transported to iconic Santa Monica. We recommend parking your car directly at the Santa Monica Pier or in one of the adjacent garages. Santa Monica is a place that combines a laid-back beach vibe with history and fun. On the pier, you'll find Pacific Park with rides and ocean views, street performers, and an always lively, sunny California vibe.
From here, you'll walk along the Ocean Front Walk back towards Venice Beach. A leisurely stroll right along the ocean, lined with palm trees, street art, surfers and the smell of salt air, awaits you. The walk takes about 45 minutes, but you're sure to enjoy it - passing the legendary Muscle Beach, a skate park, street musicians and local shops along the way.
Our stop will also include the "Lana Del Rey" mural - a popular art spot that has become the unofficial symbol of Venice.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest right on the beach. You can just lie back in the sand, have a glass of wine or a drink at one of the beachside establishments and enjoy the sunset over the Pacific. If we feel like it, we can even have dinner overlooking the ocean - because it's these simple moments that are the true magic of California.
Today is a day of movie magic, action and fun at Universal Studios Hollywood - the place where dreams become reality. Iconic attractions like Harry Potter World, The Mummy, and the unforgettable Studio Tour await you as we take a peek behind the scenes of Hollywood.
Although this is one of the more costly stops on the trip, the experience is definitely worth it. You'll spend a full day here, discovering a wealth of details that any film fan will appreciate - from the stage sets to the live special effects.
We recommend planning your visit to Universal Studios Hollywood carefully - tickets are significantly more expensive on weekends than during the week. The best prices are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, so if you can, adjust your schedule to make this trip work out on those days. Get to the grounds as early in the morning as possible - queues start to build up shortly after the park opens, especially at the most popular attractions such as Harry Potter or The Mummy, where waits can be over an hour long. We therefore recommend using the morning for those attractions where the wait is still short and then adjusting to the current times on the boards later on.
Be sure to bring a thermos or water bottle - water can be refilled easily throughout the area. We recommend packing a light snack as well, as food in the park is more expensive and there is often a wait.
Universal is an experience for the day, but be prepared to need patience - some attractions require long waits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you're in the mood for something themed, you can also have a beer at the wizarding pub The Three Broomsticks, but don't forget your ID - they check everyone's. Also be aware that alcoholic beverages are quite expensive here (about $16 for a beer).

This circular trail not only offers beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, but also an interesting glimpse into the area's history. The highlight of the tour is the brick ruins of the Roberts Ranch House, a modernist home designed by architect Paul Williams. The house was one of the first to combine architecture with nature, but unfortunately it burned down in a fire. Park in the parking lot right next to the pier, where you'll be sure to take a stroll and enjoy the views of the endless ocean and Newport Beach. Our very first experience will be in the style of the California lifestyle - on a bicycle and with the wind in our hair. Rent bikes at the rental shop, which offers a free third hour when you rent for 2 hours. The bikes have cupcakes, so be sure to pack a towel and swimsuit. Keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the architecture of this seaside town, every house has something interesting. In case you need to hide from the sun and refresh yourself, try the delicious margherita and nachos right on the overlooking the tail at the Mexican restaurant. Alternatively, how about a picnic on the beach. Pick up a pizza at 22nd Streed Pizza and enjoy it right on the beach.

Taking only a few dozen seconds to ride, it's definitely worth it - if only for the experience and the iconic orange and black cab that has appeared in movies like La La Land.

From MOCA, it's just a few steps to the next exceptional stop - The Broad Museum, which impresses at first glance with its modern architecture reminiscent of a honeycomb. After a visit to The Broad, we move on to another architectural gem - Walt Disney Concert Hall, just a few minutes' walk away.
This iconic concert hall was designed by architect Frank Gehry and opened in 2003. It is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is one of the best acoustically designed halls in the world.
The building's exterior is covered with more than 6,000 stainless steel panels that shimmer like silver sails, creating an impression of movement and dynamism. The interior, in turn, is inlaid with iridescent wood, designed to offer an intimate yet dramatic musical experience.

This Art Deco skyscraper was completed in 1928 and was the tallest building in the city until 1964. Designed by architects John Parkinson, Albert C. Martin and John C. Austin, it combines classical and modern elements, making it unique within American architecture. Its 32-story tower was inspired by the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and today serves as the city's municipal headquarters and the offices of the mayor and city council. The view of City Hall is best enjoyed from a distance from Gloria Molina Grand Park.

A little bit of history
El Pueblo was founded in 1781 when 44 settlers from northern Mexico (then the New Spanish Empire) came here to establish the settlement of "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles". This colonial settlement gradually grew into the modern Los Angeles you know today. As a result, the neighborhood has a unique atmosphere that combines history, culture and everyday life.

El Pueblo is filled with colorful streets, traditional buildings and authentic Mexican restaurants where you can sample everything from fresh tacos to sweet churros. Today you combine knowledge and relaxation on the beach. Visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles to see a selection of the most interesting things from the natural world and history of Los Angeles in the beautiful surroundings of Exposition Park.
After the busy schedule of the past few days, you deserve to relax on the beach, so in the afternoon you'll make your way to Hermosa Beach - in my opinion, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There is a long sandy beach, a nice atmosphere, small pubs and restaurants with live music, where you can also have dinner right by the ocean.
A tour of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles takes about 2 to 3 hours, but if you like to dive into the details, feel free to set aside more time. The museum is expansive, interactive and fascinating for all ages.
Dinosaur Skeletons and Natural History
One of the main draws is the Dinosaur Hall, where you'll see complete life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex and other dinosaurs. The displays are very realistic and, thanks to modern technology, you can imagine how these giant creatures once lived.🧭 The past of the original inhabitants

A diorama is a three-dimensional realistic scene depicting animals in their natural habitat. Some of these displays are over 100 years old, making them not only works of art, but also valuable historical documents that allow us to understand what the original habitat of now endangered or extinct species looked like.Dioramas depict North American fauna in natural settings-from forests to deserts to tundra-and provide a rare glimpse of ecosystems that have changed radically over time.

We'll park right in the Dolby Theatre, the famous building where the Oscars are held every year. You can look right down on the steps where the biggest movie stars walk, and if you're lucky, there might be a public event or exhibition going on.
Right inside the Dolby Theatre, you'll also find a state-of-the-art cinema, which often shows the latest films and sometimes special premieres. And be sure to stop by the gift shop, where you can buy your own version of the Oscar gold statuette - it's a classic, but a delight.
Next door is the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre, famous for its extravagant architecture and even more famous courtyard with the hand and footprints of film legends. Don't miss out on searching for the name of your favourite actor or actress - you might just discover the footprints of Harry Potter or Marilyn Monroe.
You'll then walk the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you'll find more than 2,700 stars with famous names from the worlds of film, television, music and theatre. Be sure to take a look around - you're sure to have seen many of the buildings and corners in movies or TV shows.
If you have time and energy left over, visit the Hollywood Museum in the former Max Factor building, where you'll find costumes, props and the history of Hollywood legends. For pop culture fans, it's a small but interesting experience.
If you want to treat yourself to a real cultural experience, I recommend planning a visit to a performance at one of the beautiful theatres such as the Pantages Theatre. Tickets can often be bought at a bargain price during the week. I personally saw the theatrical version of Harry Potter - and it was a magical and unforgettable evening!

You'll start at Hollyhock House, Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece, continue on to Griffith Observatory, where science and Hollywood legend intertwine, and end the day with a picnic under the famous Hollywood Sign overlooking the entire city.
Hollyhock House is one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Los Angeles and the very first project that the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed in California.
What makes it special
The house was built between 1919 and 1921 for Aline Barnsdall, a wealthy heiress and patron of the arts who wanted to create an arts center for progressive artists and theatergoers.
The name of the house is inspired by her favourite flower - the hollyhock - which recurs as a motif throughout the design.Wright created a style here that he himself described as "prairie style mixed with Mayan architecture."
You'll see sophisticated architecture with sunken pools, rooftop terraces and bold reliefs, also unique details like built-in furniture, glass windows with hollyhock patterns and dramatic wall lines.
The home is located in a beautiful park with a view - Barnsdall Art Park, where you can have a quiet picnic or just sit amongst the locals. The tour will take approximately 30 - 60 minutes.
Griffith Observatory is an iconic spot in Los Angeles that offers not only a fascinating view of the stars, but also one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire city - from downtown LA to the ocean. Admission to the observatory is free, and you won't want to miss:

- the Foucault Pendulum,
- the historic Zeiss telescope,
- and the statue of astronomer James Griffith outside the entrance.

You'll get the best views from the patio above the main entrance or from the pathways above the observatory - the perfect spot for a sunset or an iconic photo with the Hollywood Sign in the background.After visiting the Observatory, we'll head towards the Hollywood Sign - the iconic sign that is one of the symbols of Los Angeles.
There are several trails leading from the Observatory, but we recommend the Charlie Turner Trailhead or Mount Hollywood Trail - manageable for the less experienced.
Stop: The Last House on Mulholland
Stop along the way at a viewpoint referred to as The Last House on Mulholland - it's a beautiful vantage point overlooking the city and the Hollywood Hills.

After the hike, we can picnic right under the Hollywood Sign - the place is quiet, often away from the main crowds, and the views are truly cinematic. Don't forget to bring something good to nibble on, or a coffee to go - the experience will be worth it.

You'll stroll along the iconic Santa Monica Pier, enjoy the views and fun by the ocean, and then walk along the beach to bohemian Venice Beach. Before immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach, enjoy a short, leisurely stroll around the Venice Canals - a little hidden treasure inspired by Venice, which was built in the early 20th century as part of the ambitious Venice of America project.
A circuit through the canals takes about 20-30 minutes, perfect for a leisurely morning or a relaxing start to the day. After the walk, I recommend continuing on to Venice Beach - either on foot (about 10 minutes) or return to your car and park closer to Santa Monica.
After a stroll through the quiet streets around the Venice Canals, you'll be transported to iconic Santa Monica. We recommend parking your car directly at the Santa Monica Pier or in one of the adjacent garages. Santa Monica is a place that combines a laid-back beach vibe with history and fun. On the pier, you'll find Pacific Park with rides and ocean views, street performers, and an always lively, sunny California vibe.
From here, you'll walk along the Ocean Front Walk back towards Venice Beach. A leisurely stroll right along the ocean, lined with palm trees, street art, surfers and the smell of salt air, awaits you. The walk takes about 45 minutes, but you're sure to enjoy it - passing the legendary Muscle Beach, a skate park, street musicians and local shops along the way.
Our stop will also include the "Lana Del Rey" mural - a popular art spot that has become the unofficial symbol of Venice.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest right on the beach. You can just lie back in the sand, have a glass of wine or a drink at one of the beachside establishments and enjoy the sunset over the Pacific. If we feel like it, we can even have dinner overlooking the ocean - because it's these simple moments that are the true magic of California.
Today is a day of movie magic, action and fun at Universal Studios Hollywood - the place where dreams become reality. Iconic attractions like Harry Potter World, The Mummy, and the unforgettable Studio Tour await you as we take a peek behind the scenes of Hollywood.
Although this is one of the more costly stops on the trip, the experience is definitely worth it. You'll spend a full day here, discovering a wealth of details that any film fan will appreciate - from the stage sets to the live special effects.
We recommend planning your visit to Universal Studios Hollywood carefully - tickets are significantly more expensive on weekends than during the week. The best prices are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, so if you can, adjust your schedule to make this trip work out on those days. Be sure to buy your tickets online in advance to save not only money but also time.
Get to the grounds as early in the morning as possible - queues start to build up shortly after the park opens, especially at the most popular attractions such as Harry Potter or The Mummy, where waits can be over an hour long. We therefore recommend using the morning for those attractions where the wait is still short and then adjusting to the current times on the boards later on.
Be sure to bring a thermos or water bottle - water can be refilled easily throughout the area. We recommend packing a light snack as well, as food in the park is more expensive and there is often a wait.
Universal is an experience for the day, but be prepared to need patience - some attractions require long waits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you're in the mood for something themed, you can also have a beer at the wizarding pub The Three Broomsticks, but don't forget your ID - they check everyone's. Also be aware that alcoholic beverages are quite expensive here (about $16 for a beer).

Your day in Malibu will begin in the spirit of nature and gentle adventure - you'll hike the Rising Sun Trail in beautiful Solstice Canyon Park - link. This circular trail not only offers beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, but also an interesting glimpse into the area's history. The highlight of the tour is the brick ruins of the Roberts Ranch House, a modernist home designed by architect Paul Williams. The house was one of the first to combine architecture with nature, but unfortunately it burned down in a fire. On the way back, you'll descend gently along the creek, through a eucalyptus grove and over rocky trails - the entire hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
After the hike, you'll make your way to Malibu Lagoon State Beach for a short walk in the local preserve - the bird watching, bridges over the lagoon, and quiet morning atmosphere are perfect for enjoying this natural oasis.
For lunch, treat yourself to something tasty at Farm Cafe on Malibu Pier, right on the ocean. Fresh ingredients, a rustic atmosphere and views of the endless Pacific make lunch an exceptional experience.
