Our Yosemite adventure begins bright and early in San Francisco, as we leave the city behind and head east toward the Sierra Nevada. With coffee in hand and the morning sun on our backs, we’ll cruise through rolling foothills and charming Gold Rush towns, watching the landscape transform from vineyards to rugged mountain pines.

After a short stop in Mariposa for brunch, the real magic begins - the first glimpse of Yosemite’s wilderness. Entering the park through the South Entrance, we’re greeted by the towering sequoias of Mariposa Grove, ancient giants that have stood here for thousands of years. A peaceful walk among them sets the tone for the days ahead.

As the road winds deeper into the park, we reach that unforgettable “wow” moment - the sweeping panorama of Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View, bathed in the golden glow of sunset.

By evening, we’ll settle into our cozy lodge or campsite, surrounded by the hush of nature. A laid-back dinner at The Ahwahnee or Base Camp Eatery caps off our first day - the perfect welcome to the wild heart of California.

Today, we dive straight into the heart of Yosemite, where every turn reveals legendary landscapes. The morning starts early, letting us enjoy the valley before the crowds arrive. We’ll wander or bike along the scenic Valley Loop, taking in iconic sights like Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, and Bridalveil Fall, each more impressive up close than in any photo.

For those craving a bit of adventure, the Mist Trail to Vernal Fall offers a refreshing hike with incredible views -  a perfect way to feel the power of Yosemite’s waterfalls firsthand.

In the afternoon, we’ll relax with a picnic by the Merced River, soaking up the calm of the valley before exploring the local culture at Ansel Adams Gallery or Yosemite Village for souvenirs and snacks.

As the day winds down, we’ll catch the sunset at Sentinel Bridge, watching Half Dome reflect in the river’s mirror-like surface. And if the skies are clear, Yosemite’s night skies are so vivid that a short stargazing session or a ranger-led talk makes for a magical end to the day.

Today we’re soaking in some of Yosemite’s most iconic vistas and outdoor adventures. We’ll start the morning with a drive (or shuttle ride) up to Glacier Point, where sweeping panoramic views of the valley, Half Dome, and the High Sierra await. From there, you can choose between a challenging hike down the Four Mile Trail for epic perspectives or a more moderate loop around Taft Point and Sentinel Dome.

In the afternoon, we’ll make our way back with scenic stops at Washburn Point for perfect photo opportunities, then unwind with a relaxing bike ride or a leisurely stroll around Curry Village. The day winds down with a laid-back dinner at Degnan’s Kitchen or a nearby BBQ spot, followed by a calm evening by the river or a cozy campfire.

After an unforgettable time in Yosemite, we hit the road back to San Francisco. The drive winds through scenic landscapes one last time, giving us a final taste of nature before the city skyline appears on the horizon. Once back in Frisco, we soak in a few last city vibes, maybe grab a coffee or a quick bite, and get ready to catch our flight home.
