Day three begins in Taormina, as the city awakens to golden light and the sea beneath the cliffs still breathes with morning calm. A journey awaits you that combines the elegance of Taormina with the rugged beauty of the Sicilian hills, while also taking you to places where some of the most iconic scenes in film history were created. From the coast, you'll ascend to Forza d'Agrò, a small mountain village that still retains the atmosphere of old Sicily. Narrow streets, stone houses, and a silence that has its own echo—this is exactly the environment that filmmakers chose for several scenes of The Godfather. A few kilometers away lies Savoca, a village that has become a legend. Bar Vitelli, the church of San Nicolò, views of the valley... everything here feels like time has stood still. As you walk through the places where Michael Corleone asked Apollonia to marry him, you feel like the film is coming to life right before you. After a day full of views, stories, and Sicilian atmosphere, you return to Taormina, where Piazza IX Aprile lights up again in the evening, reminding you why the city is one of the most impressive places in the world.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of the most impressive places on the northeast coast – Piazza Duomo, where the majestic Duomo di Messina stands, and right next to it, the famous bell tower with the largest mechanical clock in the world. A calm and noble atmosphere pervades the cathedral, which has survived earthquakes and bombings. The golden mosaic of Christ Pantocrator in the apse is one of the most beautiful in Sicily, and the monumental organ is one of the largest in Italy. Right next to it stands a tall stone bell tower that comes to life every day at noon – the lion roars, the rooster crows, the figurines move, and the astronomical dial shows the planets, phases of the moon, and the calendar. It is a fascinating spectacle that attracts crowds of tourists and locals alike. After visiting Messina, you will continue along a long but beautiful road to Corleone – a city that has become a symbol of the Sicilian mafia. Although it is now peaceful and surrounded by green hills, its history is full of dramatic stories, real mafia families, and fighters against organized crime. The road leads through a hilly landscape, past old farms, vineyards and olive groves. Gradually you approach the coast and the landscape changes - more life, traffic and energy. And then Palermo opens up before you, the largest city in Sicily and its restless, fascinating heart. Palermo is the complete opposite of Corleone: noisy, colourful, chaotic, full of scents, markets, baroque churches, Arab palaces and narrow streets, where all the cultures that shaped the island mingle. It is a city of contrasts - beautiful and harsh, elegant and wild, but always authentic.

The fifth day thus combines two faces of Sicily: quiet, mountainous and raw in Corleone, and lively, historical and vibrant in Palermo.

The day begins in the monumental and gold-shining Monreale and ends with a return to Palermo, from where your flight from Sicily awaits.
