I'd be very cautious about planning activities for the day you arrive. Sometimes flights get delayed due to the conditions... So, there's no need to rush anywhere. Check into your accommodation, and if you have some time left, you can wander around the small, but truly colorful city center.

Start your visit to Tromsø with a bang! Spend the first half of the day exploring the area around the city – stunning fjords, mountains, and finally the turquoise waters of Sommarøy island, a total Caribbean of the North. In the evening, you'll head out to watch the Northern Lights and make your big dream come true.

Exploring Tromsø on your own. You'll check out the Polar Museum, see the city from a bird's-eye view from the lookout above town, and the brave ones might even dare to jump into the icy sea waters!

You'll head to a reindeer farm where you can try feeding them and learn all about their lives. You'll be accompanied by the Sámi, Europe's last indigenous people, in their traditional colorful costumes. They'll tell you about their culture and might even sing their famous joik for you. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more local experience in Tromsø! Afterwards, you'll dive into local mythology with the best possible guides – trolls!

If you still have some time before your flight, you can take a final walk through the center, perhaps visit one of the attractions mentioned above, and then all that's left is your trip home with your head full of memories.
