A concrete block promenade stretches along the coast. It’s perfect for a relaxing stroll, a bike ride, scootering, or even pushing a stroller. It’s nicely lit in the evenings. Along the promenade, there’s plenty of space for a picnic on the grass or on stone benches under shelters. Near the beaches along the promenade, you'll find free restrooms, changing rooms, and outdoor gyms. The promenade is a fantastic spot for those who enjoy active leisure and is ideal for running—whether in the morning or at sunset—inline skating, or exercising and working out at the outdoor workout stations right by the water in the fresh sea breeze.

Erik’s Cove

If you decide to come all the way here, you'll find a green lawn above the rocky coastline that's perfect for a picnic on a blanket. There's also a nice little beach in a bay with crystal-clear water. According to older records, there used to be an even smaller cave here, which we didn't find (it's probably collapsed or just really well hidden). Be careful on the rocks when heading down to the beach.

Please note that this beach isn't ideal for swimming, as the entry into the sea is rocky and the water is shallow. Of course, you can go into the water, but there's a risk of injury. Therefore, I recommend enjoying this beach more on land as your first short stop of the day.

Nea Paphos Archaeological Site covers a vast area. You will visit the remains of the old city from 200 to 400 BC, including ruins of tombs, Corinthian columns, villas, and fortresses, as well as well-preserved beautiful Roman mosaics. During the winter, active excavations by archaeologists still take place here.

There are toilets and vending machines in the park, one near the House of Dionysos (roughly in the middle of the complex) and another at the entrance.

I recommend visiting the archaeological park in the morning (from 8:30 AM) or in the late afternoon, as it gets really hot around noon. I suggest downloading the Paphos UNESCO Park app.

Relaxed after the beach, you continue to the historical site of the Tombs of the Kings. It is a large necropolis from the 3rd century BC, where you can find underground tombs carved into the rock.
