On the previous day you had the opportunity to see a Buddhist temple and this morning you will see 2 Shinto shrines. The Meiji is one of the biggest must sees in Tokyo and we definitely recommend that you check out the controversial Yasukuni Shrine as well. The Japanese "heroes" of World War II are buried in Yasukuni and celebrations are held there every year in their honour, much to the chagrin of the Chinese and Koreans. If you are interested, the Yasukuni complex houses the Japanese Occupation Museum, where you can learn many interesting facts.
