Day 1
Enjoy your first panoramas on the flight and on the way out of the airport. Depending on the weather, time of day and your position on the plane, you won't want to miss the fascinating view of Hong Kong and the densely populated area around it (Macau and South China). This view is already impressive during landing. You'll feel the sophistication of the place as soon as you arrive - the modern airport terminal and excellent infrastructure ensure a quick transfer to the city centre, which is approximately 25 minutes from the airport. When you consider that you cover a distance of around 30 km and cross two islands in that time, it's really impressive, don't you think? Sail across Victoria Harbour Bay to Hong Kong Island and enjoy views of the skyscrapers from sea level. Take a ride on the legendary "ding ding" tram in the style of London's doubledeckers. See the local "rabbit hutches". Walk the promenade and enjoy the view across the bay under the golden flower that has become the symbol of the national flag. At the end of the day, take a legendary tube ride between the skyscrapers to just below the top of Hong Kong Island and enjoy spectacular views of the evening bay and the forest of illuminated skyscrapers - the most common image from postcards and catalogues.
