We have another trip to Iceland coming up, an island that is rough on life. In winter there is little light, in summer too much. It's called the Land of Fire and Ice. It is also the land of wind and weather that changes several times a day, the land of a million natural beauties. Nature here is breathtaking, still pristine. Glaciers, waterfalls, beaches, mountains, hot pools - it's all Iceland. This term, if we are lucky, we will also see the Northern Lights. We'll let the beauty of this island guide us and see what it shows us this time. We really enjoyed last year's excursion at this time 😉


We will still have plenty of light to go over the itinerary. The sun will be rising around 10am and setting around 5:15pm.


The excursion includes: 

  • Transportation from Prague to the airport and back (tickets with hand luggage included)
  • car rental in Iceland, driver, Czech speaking guide
  • all admissions and parking fees unless specifically stated otherwise
  • accommodation in cabins or apartments where it will be just us, mostly with hot pool
  • half board (breakfast and dinner, or grocery shopping), we always agree on what we would like to have, and cook together in the morning and evening (I am the head chef)


Bring: 

  • wear for the mountains, Iceland is unpredictable (winter waterproof jacket, and trousers, also winter, sturdy shoes - winter - waterproof, raincoat, sweatshirt, functional underwear, hat, gloves, nesmeky)
  • food for departure day (no cooking on this day, we will arrive late)

Today we will leave early at 7:30 and the first stop today is the largest glacier in Europe, and not only that, we will get right to the glacier, to a glacial lake full of bushes and to a beach that is known as the diamond beach, just because of the washed up crabs. Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is one of the lakes just at the foot of Iceland's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Unlike the nearby larger and more famous Jökullsárlón - Glacier Lagoon, the lake is smaller, making it closer to the huge glacier just a few hundred metres away on the other side. We will try this approach, if it doesn't work because of the snow we will of course choose another one, in this case there is always a passable one.

The amazing black beach of Iceland. This is definitely the most famous. But beware, the sea here is rough and very dangerous. Several times a year, tourists drown here. So never, ever turn your back on the sea, even when it seems calm. The waves come very quickly. I personally have fished for a shoe here, and there is not a group where someone hasn't taken a dip :) Fortunately, no one has drowned so far :)

Brúarfoss

This is the bluest waterfall in Iceland. It's 3 kilometres along the river straight to it. We will walk on stones, we will walk on brush, the path is not very comfortable, but it is not particularly physically demanding, and everyone can walk it. Hopefully we won't get rained on, so it won't be muddy either, that really sucks, but it's definitely worth it. If the weather conditions are extremely bad, we won't go on the trek and will choose another option. The trip would become too risky.

It is also the land of wind and weather that changes several times a day, the land of a million natural beauties. Nature here is breathtaking, still pristine. Glaciers, waterfalls, beaches, mountains, hot pools - it's all Iceland. This term, if we are lucky, we will also see the Northern Lights. We'll let the beauty of this island guide us and see what it shows us this time. We really enjoyed last year's excursion at this time 😉


We will still have plenty of light to go over the itinerary. The sun will be rising around 10am and setting around 5:15pm.


The excursion includes: 

  • Transportation from Prague to the airport and back (tickets with hand luggage included)
  • car rental in Iceland, driver, Czech speaking guide
  • all admissions and parking fees unless specifically stated otherwise
  • accommodation in cabins or apartments where it will be just us, mostly with hot pool
  • half board (breakfast and dinner, or grocery shopping), we always agree on what we would like to have, and cook together in the morning and evening (I am the head chef)


Bring: 

  • wear for the mountains, Iceland is unpredictable (winter waterproof jacket, and trousers, also winter, sturdy shoes - winter - waterproof, raincoat, sweatshirt, functional underwear, hat, gloves, nesmeky)

Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is one of the lakes just at the foot of Iceland's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Unlike the nearby larger and more famous Jökullsárlón - Glacier Lagoon, the lake is smaller, making it closer to the huge glacier just a few hundred metres away on the other side. We will try this approach, if it doesn't work because of the snow we will of course choose another one, in this case there is always a passable one.

The amazing black beach of Iceland. This is definitely the most famous. But beware, the sea here is rough and very dangerous. Several times a year, tourists drown here. So never, ever turn your back on the sea, even when it seems calm. The waves come very quickly. I personally have fished for a shoe here, and there is not a group where someone hasn't taken a dip :) Fortunately, no one has drowned so far :)

Brúarfoss

This is the bluest waterfall in Iceland. It's 3 kilometres along the river straight to it. We will walk on stones, we will walk on brush, the path is not very comfortable, but it is not particularly physically demanding, and everyone can walk it. Hopefully we won't get rained on, so it won't be muddy either, that really sucks, but it's definitely worth it. If the weather conditions are extremely bad, we won't go on the trek and will choose another option. The trip would become too risky.

We have another trip to Iceland coming up, an island that is rough on life. In winter there is little light, in summer too much. It's called the Land of Fire and Ice. It is also the land of wind and weather that changes several times a day, the land of a million natural beauties. Nature here is breathtaking, still pristine. Glaciers, waterfalls, beaches, mountains, hot pools - it's all Iceland. This term, if we are lucky, we will also see the Northern Lights. We'll let the beauty of this island guide us and see what it shows us this time. We really enjoyed last year's excursion at this time 😉


We will still have plenty of light to go over the itinerary. The sun will be rising around 10am and setting around 5:15pm.


The excursion includes: 

  • Transportation from Prague to the airport and back (tickets with hand luggage included)
  • car rental in Iceland, driver, Czech speaking guide
  • all admissions and parking fees unless specifically stated otherwise
  • accommodation in cabins or apartments where it will be just us, mostly with hot pool
  • half board (breakfast and dinner, or grocery shopping), we always agree on what we would like to have, and cook together in the morning and evening (I am the head chef)


Bring: 

  • wear for the mountains, Iceland is unpredictable (winter waterproof jacket, and trousers, also winter, sturdy shoes - winter - waterproof, raincoat, sweatshirt, functional underwear, hat, gloves, nesmeky)
  • food for departure day (no cooking on this day, we will arrive late)

Today we will leave early at 7:30 and the first stop today is the largest glacier in Europe, and not only that, we will get right to the glacier, to a glacial lake full of bushes and to a beach that is known as the diamond beach, just because of the washed up crabs. Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is one of the lakes just at the foot of Iceland's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Unlike the nearby larger and more famous Jökullsárlón - Glacier Lagoon, the lake is smaller, making it closer to the huge glacier just a few hundred metres away on the other side. We will try this approach, if it doesn't work because of the snow we will of course choose another one, in this case there is always a passable one.

Reynisfjara Beach

The amazing black beach of Iceland. This is definitely the most famous. But beware, the sea here is rough and very dangerous. Several times a year, tourists drown here. So never, ever turn your back on the sea, even when it seems calm. The waves come very quickly. I personally have fished for a shoe here, and there is not a group where someone hasn't taken a dip :) Fortunately, no one has drowned so far :)

Brúarfoss

This is the bluest waterfall in Iceland. It's 3 kilometres along the river straight to it. We will walk on stones, we will walk on brush, the path is not very comfortable, but it is not particularly physically demanding, and everyone can walk it. Hopefully we won't get rained on, so it won't be muddy either, that really sucks, but it's definitely worth it. If the weather conditions are extremely bad, we won't go on the trek and will choose another option. The trip would become too risky.

Today we will leave early at 7:30 and the first stop today is the largest glacier in Europe, and not only that, we will get right to the glacier, to a glacial lake full of bushes and to a beach that is known as the diamond beach, just because of the washed up crabs. Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is one of the lakes just at the foot of Iceland's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Unlike the nearby larger and more famous Jökullsárlón - Glacier Lagoon, the lake is smaller, making it closer to the huge glacier just a few hundred metres away on the other side. We will try this approach, if it doesn't work because of the snow we will of course choose another one, in this case there is always a passable one.

Reynisfjara Beach

The amazing black beach of Iceland. This is definitely the most famous. But beware, the sea here is rough and very dangerous. Several times a year, tourists drown here. So never, ever turn your back on the sea, even when it seems calm. The waves come very quickly. I personally have fished for a shoe here, and there is not a group where someone hasn't taken a dip :) Fortunately, no one has drowned so far :)

Brúarfoss

This is the bluest waterfall in Iceland. It's 3 kilometres along the river straight to it. We will walk on stones, we will walk on brush, the path is not very comfortable, but it is not particularly physically demanding, and everyone can walk it. Hopefully we won't get rained on, so it won't be muddy either, that really sucks, but it's definitely worth it. If the weather conditions are extremely bad, we won't go on the trek and will choose another option. The trip would become too risky.
