How do we use transport in Iceland?
We have years of experience with a local rental company, where we pre-arrange a car according to the needs in terms of number of people and purpose of the "expedition". We use Renault Trafic 9-seater, long version, Toyota ProAce Verso cars.
Where do we sleep and what do we eat?
We sleep only in double rooms at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, we want you to have the ultimate in comfort, cleanliness, privacy and peace of mind after a day's cruising in Iceland with a hearty and delicious breakfast.
What about dinner and a meal after breakfast?
After breakfast, we buy food during the day as we travel, or use supplies from home ranging from nuts, breadsticks, dry sausages, long lasting cheeses and so on. You can't go wrong with a slice from home😋. We always go out for dinner together, stopping off at familiar places to eat, where we have Fish & Chips, which is a favourite dish, Fish burger, Lava (stew) soup in black bread - perfection, Plokkfiskur (Icelandic fish porridge) - a TOP dish for me, Icelandic hotdog Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, so this is a real massacre of flavours.

Departure from Katowice Airport; we'll be using this airport for this expedition. We'll check in, board the plane, and fly towards adventure.
On arrival, we will pick up a car to travel around Iceland.
After picking up the car, we go for our first lunch together, late but definitely hearty, usually we choose local Fish and Chips, Olsen Salad, Chicken Strips with Sweet Chilli, as a bonus everyone gets free water with every meal.
Our first stop will be in the city of Reykjavík, Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of the island nation of Iceland. It is located on the coast of Faxaflói Bay in the Atlantic Ocean in the southwest of the country. The city is the northernmost capital city in the world and the westernmost in Europe, with a latitude of 64° 08' north. It has a population of approximately 129 000 inhabitants. Shopping, sightseeing.
After walking around the capital we head towards our accommodation for the first two nights, the hotel in Hveragerði, very good hotel, luxury breakfast, good quality and comfortable beds, enjoy here, it is really worth it. We will of course take advantage of the outdoor swimming in the warm water, see photo.
Strokkur - is a geyser that spews a stream of water every few minutes to a height of approximately 20-30 m. It is located in the geothermal area near the river Hvítá. Near Strokkur is the so-called Great Geysir, which in its time spewed a column of water up to 80 m high. It gave the name to all geysers in the world. Today it is no longer active, so it is safer to wait a few minutes at Strokkur Geyser and experience the moment when the water dome turns into a gushing stream of water in a second.
About 500 metres from Strokkur is the popular Blesi thermal spring, which once pushed hot water up to one metre high. In the historical records we can find information that in the last century tourists used to wash their clothes in the stream flowing from Blesi, but today we can no longer speak of a "stream", but rather of a "spring".
The Golden Waterfall (Icelandic: Gullfoss) is located in the upper part of the Hvítá River. The water cascades down in two stages. The first phase has a drop of 11 metres and the second a drop of 22 metres, both phases flowing into a 2.5 km long canyon. The canyon was formed at the end of the Ice Age by the action of flood waves and is extended by 25 cm each year by erosion. There are dangerous rapids above the falls. It is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland and belongs to a protected area. Together with the Þingvellir National Park and the Geysir thermal stream, they form the so-called "Golden Circle" or "Golden Triangle" of natural attractions.

On this day we will be mainly hiking, following a trail through the Reykjadalur valley, to a natural hot spring in the middle of beautiful nature. Not only is it a unique experience, but the whole walk gives a sense of community and connection to the country's history and culture. The river has been a favourite with locals, as well as tourists looking for a unique thermal bathing experience, for decades. Recently, travellers have been keen to stop there and admire the beauty of nature on their way to the hot spring. Those who don't want to swim can continue on to the next part of the walk around the area.
Kerið is a volcanic crater lake located in the Grímsnes area of southern Iceland, along the Golden Circle.

It falls from the former coastal cliffs, which are now about 5 kilometres from the sea. They stretch for hundreds of kilometres and separate the coast from the Icelandic highlands. Skógafoss is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. It is 25 metres wide and 60 metres high. It is fed by the Skógá River, which has more waterfalls. Thanks to the water splinter that surrounds the waterfall, a single or double rainbow can be observed in sunny weather.
Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool is a sheltered 25-metre outdoor pool in the south of Iceland. The pool is one of the oldest pools in Iceland and was built in 1923. Seljavallalaug is located near Seljavellir. The construction was led by Bjorn Andrésson Berjaneskoti, who was awarded the Ungmennafélagið Eyfelling for this work.
Mys Dyrhólaey, a short promontory of Dyrhólaey, basically a cliff 120 metres above sea level, protrudes from the southernmost part of Iceland near the village of Vík and forms part of an important nature reserve. The most beautiful thing this peninsula has to offer is the view of the bird colony and the surrounding landscape. Next, we will descend to the black beach of Reynisfjara, the most famous and dangerous beach where you can sunbathe in the sunny weather, but under no circumstances go in or near the water. Unfortunately, despite many warnings, the ocean has already taken several human lives (NEVER GO TO THE SEA FROM THE BACK!!!). The beach is almost 6 kilometres long and you can walk along it from the cliffs of Reynisdrangar past the cave of Hálsanefshellir to almost to Dyrhólaey.
Reynisfjara Beach - the best beach on the island. The most beautiful and at the same time the most dangerous. A beach with beautiful black sand and pebbles, a cliff made of basalt columns and even a few caves dug into them, the Reynisdrangar rock formations off the coast, here you just stare.
WARNING, this beach is one of the most dangerous in Iceland, as the sign at the entrance warns. There are creeping waves here. Even if the sea seems calm, from time to time a very large wave can appear and surprise many visitors, pulling them into the sea where they cannot get back out. When the sea is rough, it is not advisable to go near it at all.

Jökulsárlón, a large glacial lake in the southern part of Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland. It is located at the head of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and developed into a lake after the glacier began to retreat from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The lake has since grown at different rates due to the melting of the glaciers.
Diamond beach, this beach is the mysterious nickname of the place where the sea brings back to shore the ice pieces floating from the glacial lagoon at high tide - Jökulsárlón. If you're used to diamonds usually being just a few millimetres across, the ice diamonds here are often more than a metre across.sheep Breiðamerkurjökull and was formed after the glacier began to retreat from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Since then, the lake has been growing at different rates due to the melting of the glaciers.
We will stay here all day, both to watch the floating bushes from the lake to the foot of the river, where the icebergs, thanks to the waves, return to the beach, where we will also look and this beach is called, diamond beach.
Svínafellsjökull just a few kilometres east of Skaftafell, in the southern part of Iceland, a beautiful bluish algae glacial mass, this is Svínafellsjökull, the glacial outwash of Iceland's largest glacier Vatnajökull.
Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull is a prominent and popular tourist site due to its size and relative ease of access.
The wreckage of an old Dakota DC-3 army plane is a well-known site in South Iceland, its rusting fuselage slowly disappearing due to the harsh Icelandic weather. The wreckage lies in black volcanic sand in the orphaned landscape of a wide lava field (called Sólheimasandur), and the skeleton of still-silver-grey steel contrasts strongly with its dark surroundings.

On this day we will be mainly hiking, following a trail through the Reykjadalur valley, to a natural hot spring in the middle of beautiful nature. Not only is it a unique experience, but the whole walk gives a sense of community and connection to the country's history and culture. The river has been a favourite with locals, as well as tourists looking for a unique thermal bathing experience, for decades. Recently, travellers have been keen to stop there and admire the beauty of nature on their way to the hot spring. Those who don't want to swim can continue on to the next part of the walk around the area.

Thanks to the water splinter that surrounds the waterfall, a single or double rainbow can be observed in sunny weather.
Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool is a sheltered 25-metre outdoor pool in the south of Iceland. The pool is one of the oldest pools in Iceland and was built in 1923. Seljavallalaug is located near Seljavellir. The construction was led by Bjorn Andrésson Berjaneskoti, who was awarded the Ungmennafélagið Eyfelling for this work.
Mys Dyrhólaey, a short promontory of Dyrhólaey, basically a cliff 120 metres above sea level, protrudes from the southernmost part of Iceland near the village of Vík and forms part of an important nature reserve. The most beautiful thing this peninsula has to offer is the view of the bird colony and the surrounding landscape. Next, we will descend to the black beach of Reynisfjara, the most famous and dangerous beach where you can sunbathe in the sunny weather, but under no circumstances go in or near the water. Unfortunately, despite many warnings, the ocean has already taken several human lives (NEVER GO TO THE SEA FROM THE BACK!!!). The beach is almost 6 kilometres long and you can walk along it from the cliffs of Reynisdrangar past the cave of Hálsanefshellir to almost to Dyrhólaey.
Reynisfjara Beach - the best beach on the island. The most beautiful and at the same time the most dangerous. A beach with beautiful black sand and pebbles, a cliff made of basalt columns and even a few caves dug into them, the Reynisdrangar rock formations off the coast, here you just stare.
WARNING, this beach is one of the most dangerous in Iceland, as the sign at the entrance warns. There are creeping waves here. Even if the sea seems calm, from time to time a very large wave can appear and surprise many visitors, pulling them into the sea where they cannot get back out. When the sea is rough, it is not advisable to go near it at all.

Jökulsárlón, a large glacial lake in the southern part of Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland. It is located at the head of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and developed into a lake after the glacier began to retreat from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The lake has since grown at different rates due to the melting of the glaciers.
Diamond beach, this beach is the mysterious nickname of the place where the sea brings back to shore the ice pieces floating from the glacial lagoon at high tide - Jökulsárlón. If you're used to diamonds usually being just a few millimetres across, the ice diamonds here are often more than a metre across.sheep Breiðamerkurjökull and was formed after the glacier began to retreat from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Since then, the lake has been growing at different rates due to the melting of the glaciers.
We will stay here all day, both to watch the floating bushes from the lake to the foot of the river, where the icebergs, thanks to the waves, return to the beach, where we will also look and this beach is called, diamond beach.
Svínafellsjökull just a few kilometres east of Skaftafell, in the southern part of Iceland, a beautiful bluish algae glacial mass, this is Svínafellsjökull, the glacial outwash of Iceland's largest glacier Vatnajökull.
Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull is a prominent and popular tourist site due to its size and relative ease of access.
The wreckage of an old Dakota DC-3 army plane is a well-known site in South Iceland, its rusting fuselage slowly disappearing due to the harsh Icelandic weather. The wreckage lies in black volcanic sand in the orphaned landscape of a wide lava field (called Sólheimasandur), and the skeleton of still-silver-grey steel contrasts strongly with its dark surroundings.

How do we use transport in Iceland?
We have years of experience with a local rental company, where we pre-arrange a car according to the needs in terms of number of people and purpose of the "expedition". We use Renault Trafic 9-seater, long version, Toyota ProAce Verso cars.
Where do we sleep and what do we eat?
We sleep only in double rooms at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, we want you to have the ultimate in comfort, cleanliness, privacy and peace of mind after a day's cruising in Iceland with a hearty and delicious breakfast.
What about dinner and a meal after breakfast?
After breakfast, we buy food during the day as we travel, or use supplies from home ranging from nuts, breadsticks, dry sausages, long lasting cheeses and so on. You can't go wrong with a slice from home😋. We always go out for dinner together, stopping off at familiar places to eat, where we have Fish & Chips, which is a favourite dish, Fish burger, Lava (stew) soup in black bread - perfection, Plokkfiskur (Icelandic fish porridge) - a TOP dish for me, Icelandic hotdog Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, so this is a real massacre of flavours.

Departure from Katowice Airport; we'll be using this airport for this expedition. We'll check in, board the plane, and fly towards adventure.
On arrival, we will pick up a car to travel around Iceland.
After picking up the car, we go for our first lunch together, late but definitely hearty, usually we choose local Fish and Chips, Olsen Salad, Chicken Strips with Sweet Chilli, as a bonus everyone gets free water with every meal.
Our first stop will be in the city of Reykjavík, Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of the island nation of Iceland. It is located on the coast of Faxaflói Bay in the Atlantic Ocean in the southwest of the country. The city is the northernmost capital city in the world and the westernmost in Europe, with a latitude of 64° 08' north. It has a population of approximately 129 000 inhabitants. Shopping, sightseeing.
After walking around the capital we head towards our accommodation for the first two nights, the hotel in Hveragerði, very good hotel, luxury breakfast, good quality and comfortable beds, enjoy here, it is really worth it. We will of course take advantage of the outdoor swimming in the warm water, see photo.
Strokkur - is a geyser that spews a stream of water every few minutes to a height of approximately 20-30 m. It is located in the geothermal area near the river Hvítá. Near Strokkur is the so-called Great Geysir, which in its time spewed a column of water up to 80 m high. It gave the name to all geysers in the world. Today it is no longer active, so it is safer to wait a few minutes at Strokkur Geyser and experience the moment when the water dome turns into a gushing stream of water in a second.
About 500 metres from Strokkur is the popular Blesi thermal spring, which once pushed hot water up to one metre high. In the historical records we can find information that in the last century tourists used to wash their clothes in the stream flowing from Blesi, but today we can no longer speak of a "stream", but rather of a "spring".
