Helsinki welcomed us with open arms as we wandered through the iconic Helsinki Cathedral, marvelled at the striking red-brick Uspenski Cathedral and soaked in the lively buzz of Market Square by the harbour. A perfect taste of this beautiful city - though we made sure to save the best for last, keeping Suomenlinna and the famous Rock Church for our final day. Dinner out rounded off a wonderful first evening in Finland. 🕍✨🍽️

We trade Helsinki’s city streets for the snow-covered wilderness of the north - destination Rovaniemi, Santa’s very own hometown and the heart of Finnish Lapland. One short flight and the world below turns pure white. The Arctic adventure starts now.

Deep in the Lapland wilderness, a reindeer farm visit is the ultimate Arctic experience. Get up close with these gentle creatures, learn about the ancient Sami herding traditions, and take a magical sleigh ride through the snow-covered forests of Kittilä. Pure Lapland, at its finest. 🦌

Today we hit the road for one of the most spectacular drives in the world - from the snowy forests of Kittilä through the dramatic Norwegian landscape all the way to Tromsø. Watch the scenery shift from Finnish wilderness to towering fjords and frozen coastlines as we chase the Arctic horizon. The drive is long, but every mile is pure magic. 🚗❄️

Beyond Tromsø and into some of the most jaw-dropping scenery Norway has to offer. We island-hopped to the paradise island of Sommarøy, with its impossibly turquoise waters and snow-dusted shores. Then we soared above the city on the Fjellheisen cable car for panoramic Arctic views that left us completely speechless. Finally, the charming coastal village of Ersfjordbotn welcomed us with dramatic fjord views and that perfect end-of-day Arctic stillness. A day that truly had it all. 🏔️🌊❄️

See everything for what is Tromsø famous for. We set sail on an Arctic cruise, gliding through icy fjords with snow-capped peaks towering on every side. Back on land, the iconic Arctic Cathedral stunned us with its striking triangular architecture and gorgeous stained glass. We squeezed into Tromsø’s legendary smallest pub for a cozy drink and plenty of laughs, before wrapping up the day at Polaria - Norway’s Arctic experience centre, where we came face to face with the wonders of the polar world. A day that had adventure, culture, history and charm all rolled into one. 🚢⛪🍺🐟

We rose early to catch Tromsø in its most magical light - the crisp Arctic morning casting a soft golden glow over the snow-covered city and frozen harbour. One final ride up the Fjellheisen cable car gave us breathtaking panoramic views of Tromsø waking up below, with the fjords and mountains glowing in the early morning stillness. A view worth every early alarm. Then it was time to say goodbye to Norway and hit the road, driving back through the stunning Arctic landscape towards Rovaniemi to catch our return flight to Helsinki. Bittersweet miles, filled with memories, laughter and one last long look at the wilderness that had stolen our hearts. ❄️🚗✈️

Back in Helsinki and not ready to let the adventure end just yet - we made the most of our final hours in Finland with two of the city’s most iconic gems. We hopped on a ferry to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage fortress island of Suomenlinna, wandering its ancient walls and soaking in stunning sea views. Then we ducked into the extraordinary Temppeliaukio Church - carved directly into solid rock, its raw stone walls and golden copper dome creating one of the most unique and awe-inspiring spaces we’d ever stepped into. Helsinki saved its best surprises for last. 🏰⛪✨
