Check out this 7 km long circular trail near Agalas in Zakynthos. It is generally considered to be a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete. This route is popular for hiking, but you can still enjoy some quiet time during the quiet parts of the day. The trail is open all year round and is beautiful to visit at any time.
This is a beautiful trail with stunning views of the southwest coast of Zakynthos. The route starts in the village of Agalas and descends towards the cave of Damianos. This place is famous for its views of the Ionian Sea and the sunset. The route then descends towards the west coast of Zakynthos, where the stunning white cliffs are located. The route ends at Cape Vryses with breathtaking views of the coastal Agalas Caves, which are formed at the base of the cliffs. It then heads back east and north, back to the starting point, along the green slopes.

The Damianos Village is located in the traditional village of Agalas on the west coast of Zakynthos. Access to the cave is via a 150 metre long rocky path that leads from the centre of the village. Check out this 7 km long circular trail near Agalas in Zakynthos. It is generally considered to be a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete. This route is popular for hiking, but you can still enjoy some quiet time during the quiet parts of the day. The trail is open all year round and is beautiful to visit at any time.
This is a beautiful trail with stunning views of the southwest coast of Zakynthos. The route starts in the village of Agalas and descends towards the cave of Damianos. This place is famous for its views of the Ionian Sea and the sunset. The route then descends towards the west coast of Zakynthos, where the stunning white cliffs are located. The route ends at Cape Vryses with breathtaking views of the coastal Agalas Caves, which are formed at the base of the cliffs. It then heads back east and north, back to the starting point, along the green slopes.

Agalas - Damianos Cave - Vrysses Cape Loop -
Check out this 7 km long circular trail near Agalas in Zakynthos. It is generally considered to be a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete. This route is popular for hiking, but you can still enjoy some quiet time during the quiet parts of the day. The trail is open all year round and is beautiful to visit at any time.
This is a beautiful trail with stunning views of the southwest coast of Zakynthos. The route starts in the village of Agalas and descends towards the cave of Damianos. This place is famous for its views of the Ionian Sea and the sunset. The route then descends towards the west coast of Zakynthos, where the stunning white cliffs are located. The route ends at Cape Vryses with breathtaking views of the coastal Agalas Caves, which are formed at the base of the cliffs. It then heads back east and north, back to the starting point, along the green slopes.

The Damianos Village is located in the traditional village of Agalas on the west coast of Zakynthos. Access to the cave is via a 150 metre long rocky path that leads from the centre of the village. Inside you will discover a two-storey cave full of impressive stalactites and stalagmites. From its entrance, you have a magnificent view of the surrounding green hills and the sea in the background.

Today's day will be dedicated to relaxing on Agios Sostis beach, ideal for families with children thanks to its calm atmosphere and gradual entry into the sea. After resting, you will take a short cruise to the island of Marathonisi, also known as the "Cube of the Turtle", where you can observe sea turtles and enjoy the beautiful beaches and clear water. Upon your return, enjoy a traditional Greek dinner at a local taverna with a sunset view.
Agios Sostis is a quiet resort in the south of Zakynthos, located in the vast bay of Laganas, approximately 12 km southwest of the capital Zante. It is symbolically associated with the small island of Cameo, which is separated from the mainland by a wooden bridge and is a popular venue for romantic events such as weddings and anniversaries. Cameo Island is privately owned and there is a €5 entrance fee.
There are two main ways to get to Marathonisi Island (also known as Turtle Island).
1. Taxi boat from Laganas - a cheap and flexible option
The cheapest option is to use a water taxi from the beach in Laganas resort. Boats leave here regularly throughout the day, so there is no need to book in advance. You can arrange your return journey directly with the captain. The price of a return trip is around €10-12 and usually has to be paid in cash.
2. Organised trip - extra comfort and experience
Another option is an organised boat trip, which not only includes a stop at Marathonis, but often also includes spotting the cards that choose the island as a nesting ground. You'll take a boat out over the beautiful blue waters of Laganas Bay and if you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of the turtles themselves. On the island you will enjoy relaxing on the beach, swimming and quiet time in the beautiful nature. The water here is turquoise and the surroundings look completely unspoilt - the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the beaches and calm down in the embrace of nature.
The island offers two main beaches - one with fine white sand and the other with pebbles. The sandy beach is a protected area of the Zakynthos National Marine Park, where sea turtles lay their eggs. Visitors can relax on designated areas of the beach and observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
On the western side of Marathonisi are two impressive sea caves. These caves are accessible by boat or, for the more experienced, by swimming. One of the caves can be entered directly from the beach through a narrow passage. The water around the caves is crystal clear and ideal for snorkelling, revealing a wealth of underwater life.

You can taste different varieties and learn how different olive varieties affect the taste. After this refreshing break, you will go on a hiking tour with spectacular views of the coast of Zakynthos, during which you will enjoy panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, white cliffs and picturesque coves. Therianos Family Farm is a family farm in Zakynthos, specialising in organic farming and the production of quality olive oil. The farm can be found in the area of Kallithea, where in addition to olive oil, they also produce other traditional products such as wines, honey, olives and herbs.
At the farm you will learn about the traditional methods of olive cultivation and olive oil production. You will take part in a tour to learn about the olive processing process, from harvesting to pressing. Of course, there will also be a tasting of olive oil, wine and other local products.
You'll see the local cultivation of herbs, vegetables and traditional methods of processing the products - and of course you'll have the opportunity to taste everything or buy it as a souvenir.

Agalas - Damianos Cave - Vrysses Cape Loop -
Check out this 7 km long circular trail near Agalas in Zakynthos. It is generally considered to be a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete. This route is popular for hiking, but you can still enjoy some quiet time during the quiet parts of the day. The trail is open all year round and is beautiful to visit at any time.
This is a beautiful trail with stunning views of the southwest coast of Zakynthos. The route starts in the village of Agalas and descends towards the cave of Damianos. This place is famous for its views of the Ionian Sea and the sunset. The route then descends towards the west coast of Zakynthos, where the stunning white cliffs are located. The route ends at Cape Vryses with breathtaking views of the coastal Agalas Caves, which are formed at the base of the cliffs. It then heads back east and north, back to the starting point, along the green slopes.

The Damianos Village is located in the traditional village of Agalas on the west coast of Zakynthos. Access to the cave is via a 150 metre long rocky path that leads from the centre of the village. Inside you will discover a two-storey cave full of impressive stalactites and stalagmites. From its entrance, you have a magnificent view of the surrounding green hills and the sea in the background.
According to local legend, it was here that Damianos killed the dragon Andronius, whose story is linked to this cave. On the opposite side of the cave are the twelve wells of Agalas, known as the Wells of Andronius.
Near the cave is also the Cave Damianos Sunset Resto Bar, where you can enjoy traditional Greek cuisine and watch the sunset

Bochali is a small village located on a hill above the main town of Zante (Zakynthos) on the Greek island of Zakynthos. It lies approximately 2 km northwest of the town centre and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the town, the harbour and the Ionian Sea.
Main attractions in Bochali:
Venetian Fortress (Castro): On top of the hill is the ruins of a 17th century Venetian fortress. Although only the perimeter walls and the entrance gate remain, it provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.
Church of Panagia Chrysopigi: In the centre of the village stands the church, whose interior is decorated with a wooden iconostasis and Byzantine icons.
Local tavernas and cafes: Bochali offers several traditional tavernas and cafes where you can enjoy local specialties, including the dessert "frigania".
Laganas Beach in Zakynthos is one of the most famous party spots in Greece, known for its lively night scene and beach parties.
